what nobody so far mentioned was that Inaki Pena was AMAZING this game. Despite the numerous offsides there were a few real chances and Pena made great saves, very under the radar and under rated. He should keep playing

I did not see this coming but I had doubts for Real Madrid's gameplan. As you said, they struggled against weaker opponents, but I was confident that they will work a miracle. Sadly, the gameplan was not executed, if there was a gameplan to begin with.

Gavi and De Jong are not yet fully fit; no room for both Fermin and Olmo in the starting 11. It is actually becoming very difficult to give all these players the minutes they deserve.
Real Madrid are just reinventing the Galatcticos model with more money but far less skill. Barcelona just destroyed them, La Liga, and Bayern with mostly academy kids. Hansi Flick changed the game by introducing Frenkie De Jong for Femin Lopez at half time. This move was a check mate as it gave Barca control of the midfield. Tchouameni, Camavinga, Valverde were no match to De jong , pedri, and Casado. Ancelotti had no answer for De Jong ball winning ability and clean passing.

We dont have the money to pay the most expensive striker in the world currently AND Lewa. Simple as that. We are surviving financially because more than half our players are homegrown (Gavi,Casado,Yamal,Cubarsi,etc) If it wasnt for that, we would be done.

1st half was on the players not taking their chances. 2nd Half 1000% on the coach, i would have taken Vasquez out for modric move Valverde to RB he wasn't really in the game, in 75 min take out camavinga for Güler.
