We were lucky enough to see the return of the one and only Sid Wilson (A.K.A DJ Starscream) from global powerhouse Slipknot, who paid our Manchester students a visit at LEAF for an exclusive masterclass.
He touched on his beginnings in music, stories from the early days of Slipknot and his entry into the band, industry advice for music practitioners, jumping off balconies and breaking his heels live on stage, managing his many projects, the Slipknot creative process, the changing sound of the band, and much, much more.
The Iowa-bred DJ is a member of the iconic nine-piece metal band known throughout America and Europe as one of the most energetic and controversial live acts in existence today. Having been nominated for ten Grammy awards since the release of their eponymous debut album in 1999, Sid and his bandmates have mastered their niche and become a force to be reckoned with.
