I have a QC. When i first got it noticed something a little strange. There is a sound signature that colors any amp or capture on this thing. Something in the upper mids and treble. Kind of harsh sounding. I almost gave up on the thing, but luckely found the Global EQ to fix this issue 👍 I hear this in almost every YT video demoing it. Strange that nobody has adressed this. It is very apparent when comparing it to other units/modelers.
Finally somebody said something. I have been searching on forums and going nuts trying to address this. I would love to see your settings to understand what helped you.
@@jorlano Hi! My claim that i fixed it is maybe a little bold, it is not entierly gone, but this is what i found : By using the global eq and sweep the 2-4 k range + a little cut around 450hz is helping me a lot. I also use an eq in my presets. Your millage may vary, but play around with it until you find the sweetspot.
Sadly line6 stayed behind... It is increasingly omitted from tests, hope they will bring cool update in this summer, like capturing etc, new revmodeled all amps like fractal does it.. Etc
The Helix and HX Stomp are still my main go to modeller. The only reason they were not included in this comparison is because they do not capture amps. If they did I would have included them in it also. Helix is an incredible unit and getting better with each update :-)
Jason, I have a dark purple tolex Revv Generator 7-40 Mark II head with matching 1X12 cab with square logo instead of oval by request when I had them made. I think 2018 or 19. I have to look it up. It is a great amp.
I guess if I was totally new to guitar then the price would be the decisive factor… however, I’ve tried Amplitube a few times and been incredibly underwhelmed every time. Even when hearing more experienced guitarist use it it just sounded harsh (Chris Buck being an exception). So I’m not willing to bet anymore money on IK Multimedia. Quad Cortex may have been a great contender. I have a few of their plugins and they are really good… Line 6: I’ve owned a few Helix’es… one floor and one rack. Sounds great but I spent more time tweaking than playing, Kemper: Perfection.. or close. Set and forget. I have a few great profiles of my main amp and a great Tone King Imperial profile by Paul Davids. I’ve used it ever since the rack was released and has now ordered the Player. I mean, I could think of a few improvements for both the Kemper Rack and the Player, but even with these opportunities for improvement I’ll stick with the guns I know’ll hit the target.
Thanks for sharing. Maybe next time on the time stamps put a stamp when the playing starts. You talk before playing on the time stamps that say “How it sounds” and it’s hard to tell the difference when there is talking and it’s not just going from one to the other. Hearing the amp would have been great too. Thanks
The true is any of these devices would sound outstanding in anyone's hands with professional skills adjusting tone... and any of these will not satisfied anyone who doesn't have even basic skills thinking it's plug in and plug-in and play device will work for any guitar, pickups and cab or monitors. 😎😉
