About Willie Jones III:
Drummer composer bandleader and producer Willie Jones III has established himself as one of the world’s preeminent working musicians. His credits include playing, recording, and touring with such jazz luminaries as Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis, Roy Hargrove, Cedar Walton, Hank Jones, Horace Silver, and many more. He can be heard on hundreds of recordings as a sideman and has numerous titles as a leader.
The Side Door is proud to announce that Mr. Jones will be the newest recording artist addition to Side Door Records with a very special live performance taping on Friday and Saturday, April 22nd and 23rd! Jones brings with him a lineup consisting of Eddie Henderson on trumpet and flugelhorn, Justin Robinson on alto saxophone, Keith Brown on piano, and Dezron Douglas on acoustic bass. The recording from these two very special nights will be pressed to CD and limited edition vinyl and distributed internationally via Side Door Records.
