Key is to get weight on balls of feet. No weight on heals. Lift heals of shoes and keep them off the ground. Bounce between shots. M ito perfect example.

Oh, what an important video! Footwork is THE basic of tabletennis. Every stroke begins from bottom. I know this, but my footwork is really really bad. I´m 47 years old and how can I improve my footwork? I stand behind the table like a tree. But it works. Even if I know, that this is incredible. I want to change this. Do you have more excercises to improve footwork (for older, lazy guys like me) ? That will be great! Thanks a lot and keep healthy.

Hi coach, I have an opponent that serves fast, long, underspin/nospin to my backhand., he's doing all illegal serve by not throwing the ball up but smash it to his racket to hide the serve. He's not formal player and we play outdoor on the street so I cannot enforce him to do the proper serve rules. 70% his serve is the long floaty to my left. How to counter that serve? Thanks in advance.

The rule is: First move, than hit. But at 1.24 and 1.37 you hit first. That means, that your footwork is not fast enough.
