Hay, I know this is a fourteen year old video, but it just helped me a lot. Probably saved me fifty or sixty buck in labor to have a shop do it. Thank you.
Thanks for the great tutorial and clearly explaining every step. I used a piece of blue painters tape to cover any holes the bolts/washers could fall down into the door just for piece of mind when removing the bolts = no worries about having to take off entire door panel.
Seems like my Peugeot 206! Thought I had to get it to my mechanic, but seems so easy I can do it my self. I am a 27 year old girl and got my first car 5 months ago and already I have been the "victim" of stupid people hitting my car and taking of. Great video!
Omg you are amazing. I wish i knew about your website before i ordered a 200 mirror but oh well you live and you learn. When my mirror comes in on Tuesday i can install it myself. Thank you so much for this video.
Nice instructional video; great website too! Would you please consider doing a tutorial with the scenario of having to remove the door panel (or are those installs too make-specific?)?
+vambo13257 Thanks again, I just finished and almost had to take the door panel off because that molded piece was attached inside the door panel. Popped out a couple of the door panel pins and was able to swap it out-took about 15 minutes!!
@mjohnkingsly I replaced it just as shown here and wow it fits in well. However, my original silver cap didn't fit and so I am running with a white one. Need to paint it.
Informative video, unless you have a '97 and the side mirror is not in corner of window. The 1 inch long screw x 10mm hex is INSIDE of door. Nice engineering!
Hi Josh! Nice video. I need a little more help though since I have a 2006 BMW 330i and the (supposed "pop"out grill casing) on mine extends behind the door panel... :0( .......so.....how would I remove that on my model car because I don't see any screws or bolts and I don't want to mess my door up. Any videos on this would help...thanks!
I just need to attach a new mirror glass & frame to the existing rotating (power) disc inside the housing. It has 3 clips but I can't seem to push it on and get all the clips to catch. The upper inside (top left from passenger side) corner has a whole instead of a clip which is normal. Any ideas? Thanks
Awesome video . My car doesn't have in-built heating. I am getting a good online deal on a heated mirror for my Nissan Altima 2005. Can I buy it and fix it in my car ? I don't really need the heating functoinality. Plz confirm if the cicuits will work fine even if I do this . Thnz.
