They all stay in the discord call, but only the people still alive just deafen, and others do not. But when the meeting gets called, the dead people just mute themselves until the meeting ends.
@@jerkeysnake3214 No,no while the meeting has been called unless it's proximity mod. They can't talk to each other. Chipfat just edits like that to make the video more entertaining and we think they are talking to eachother.
Will is from Newcastle which is close-ish to Scotland. It was part of the Kingdom of Northhumbria which at one point stretched to Edinburgh. So, there are dialectal similarities, but Scotland had time to develop its own dialects after the Kingdom split. Ginge is from Manchester which is in Lancashire and has a completely different dialect. Both are regarded as Northern (English) but Newcastle is a lot further North.

1:02:10 i think, i could probably wrong in this in usual among us, when a player dies, they mute on discord (in this case harry is afk thus deji said "he might hear us") and the deads cannot speak to eachother during a meeting (Muted on discord, but unmuted on OBS/ any recording software) The moment the deads can talk to eachother is when proximity is enabled, i think the mod is what makes the communication like a one way mirror Edit: When in sidemen proximity among us, When someone is killed, the dead can talk to eachother while hearing the living like a one way mirror
No, they (dead) in fact can talk to each other when meetings are called as well. I think they have 2 lobbies. 1 for Alive (MAIN LOBBY) and 1 for dead. and also a PC (managed by maybe Chipfat or anyone who is responsible for AmongUs videos and mods and stuff like that), on that PC they would have 2 Discords 1 each for the lobby and they share the MAIN LOBBY's audio to the DEAD LOBBY. When someone is k!lled, they just go and join the dead lobby while others stay in same lobby so they just click a mute/unmute button for meetings and do not look at the discord screen as it might reveal if someone is dead. So when meetings are not called, the dead people sit in the dead lobby and talk to each other while they cannot hear anything others are saying as they are all muted. And when meetings are called, they all unmute and hence the dead are now able to hear them as well as talk to each other but Alive people cannot listen them.
@@Mavenstree but then how do the dead talk to each other during meetings ? It is not just the proximity chat ones, even without proximity, you can see them talking.
@@MarcSpctr I'm not going to pretend to know how they talk during the meetings, but if the dead left the call and joined another room on Discord then they wouldn't be able to hear the alive people talking during the meetings, so they would have no idea what was going on in them.
@MarcSpctr they don't talk to each other during meetings...I understand why you'd think that based on editing but they just talk to the camera amd reach to what's going on.
No one leaves the discord calls when playing they are all muted and deafened, when someone dies they unmute and undefen until a meeting is called where they mute so not to interrupt but can listen in so we get their reactions Also a Manchester accent isn't close to scotland (well is actually from closer to scotland then ginger still in no way Scottish sounding though haha)
I think they only changed the way they do the discord meeting in games for this one In many if not most sessions the ghost talks to each other while the meeting is going on. This is the only video than i can remember which suggests what steph said that is Ghost muting during meeting and players muting during game and since it has only been brought up and seem like an issue here i think it was probably only for this session or may have been for some more but in most the ghost do have a separate call/chat they join ehich they have made a point about multiple times.
you can deafen or mute in discord mute just mutes you but you can hear stuff deafen you can't hear anything so those who are alive deafen and the dead talk then so no one hears them, when meeting is called ghost mute and everyone else undeafens so ghost can still hear them yapping in the meeting
theres a mue button that mutes you and a deafen button that mutes you and makes you unable to hear anything in the call. everyone deafens as the game starts and when they die they undeafen so that they can talk in the imaginary dead chat. when a meeting is going on the dead use the mute button only so that theyre muted but can hear whats going on in the meeting. they did it differently back then but this what they do now
