Idk how anyone who’s old enough to remember gta 5 coming out is surprised. This is what I expected. They did the same thing with GTA 5. Trailer came out November 2011 game came out October 2013
I don't get it why people are so mad about the 2025 release. We do not want another CyberPunk kind of thing to happen. Moreover, the GTA 5 trailer released like 1.5 to 2 years before the actual game. I'd rather wait than get an unfinished/rushed release.
And a lot of people probably don't have a PC or a console that can play it right now. A lot of the beta-testing happening now is ironing out bugs, crashes and especially doing the port to several platforms and make sure you don't need a 40 core CPU with 512 RAM and two RTX 6090ti. lol
They've been working on the game since 2013. 12 years is wild to be working on a game with a AAA studio. It would have been better if they released the trailer 6 months before release. What's funny is 60% of the GTA audience just wants to play the online, That's probably what's delaying the game heavily. Online trailer is their biggest weapon
@wesner1th they haven't been working on gta 6 since 2013 mate you really think they started to work on gta 6 right after dropping gta 5? they worked on rdr2 then started developing gta had to take a break cuz of covid they fully started working on gta 6 in 2019
Oh yeah everyone wants a pretty polished release, but given the time the game has taken and trailers usually dont come more than a year before the product we didnt expect 2025
Main campaign and not including side content, rdr is between 20 and 25. With GTA V the story did feel monotonous being 31 hours of similar gameplay. 20 hours is I think a sweet spot for games anyway, quality over quantity.
@@pointfeIIa well, i wouldn't get my hopes up after the writing and creative directors, michael unsworth and dan houser, left after the release of rdr2 and during the production of gta 6. idk if it will be the same vibe as past rockstar titles :D edit: also, can't forget my boy lazlow :3
The story will absolutely not be 20 hours. R*’s last project was Red Dead 2, which was 5 years ago, and that story was 50 ish hours. To get 100% it’s literally hundreds of hours. There were 140 ish, random world events in RDR2, it’s rumoured GTA6 will have around 1400 random world events and 70% of buildings will be enterable. We’re in for a treat.
@@MarcelMatani I do think we’ll have a more realistic/ serious tone, similar to RDR2, (whilst still being GTA obviously) it wouldn’t surprise me if we were in for even longer than 80 hours all side missions and main stories included. The grind for platinum and 100% will be 200-300 hours at least imo. I have high hopes it will be the most immersive world yet, and as a lover of red dead 2, that says a lot!
i dont think so gta never had a serious tone even gta 4 was sarcastic i dont think 200 hours is even on the cards its far too long i do think the side missions might be more than 20 hours judging by the scale of it but i cant see the main story being longer than 50 hours tbh dont forget there will be gta online/gta rp which alot of people will be playing that and not the storyline and if im honest the storyline in gta is always generic @@Lew99900
@@Lew99900 I kinda hope they have online trophies separate. RDR2 was horrible getting mvp 3 times in online because of hackers killing you from the sky.
Do people not remember that every first trailer that Rockstar has released over the past 12 years has been two years before the release date? How did people not see this coming?
That’s what I’m saying! It boggles my mind how most don’t pick up on the patterns. Shouldn’t be surprised nowadays if we gotta wait 1-2 years for something
GTA V and RDR2 were originally meant to release around 1 year after their trailer announcements. Both of them got delayed so it pushed the releases to around 2 years after announcements. How do people not know this? PLUS, if Take2's fiscal projections are anything to go off then we might even see a release somewhere between January - March of 2025. If they plan a fall/holiday 2025 launch then you can assume Rockstar have already taken delays into account or they're just doing everything they can to negate crunch. Rockstar's working culture isn't the same as it was since RDR2 came out. They're giving more time to developers.
"Gaming is so on its knees, it needs something good and new" - guy who only plays COD the whole year after ignoring one of the best years in gaming with BG3, AW2, Spiderman, TOTK, etc
The story is definitely gonna be way more than 20 hours, rockstars most recent game rdr2 was a 40 hour story and that’s only story not including side missions and free roam events, to 100% the game it would take around 180 hours so gta6 story gotta be long Another thing I wanna add is free roam events, with gta6 being set in a city I’m expecting there to be so many free roam events, rdr2 had so many free roam events and only like 20% of the map consisted of civilisation so I’m assuming there is gonna be a lot going on in gta6
And in GTA VI another group of youngsters will create a famous group of RU-vidrs. The name will probably be "The Side Dudes". It will feature members like Tobias, Nathan, Henry, Jacob, AJ, Vihaan and Samuel.
fYI no, We run GTA5 we are the best in the world 8 hours a day an 5000 hours , you have no idea what's in-store for all these hopeless streamers when us top 50 of the world return 2025,, these guys wont even last 5 mins in a lobby with me
Yeah IK the longest GTA Games where GTA 5 & San Andreas which were both 30 1/2 hours the last 5 releases from Rockstar have only gone up in hours. RDR1 20-25 hours, LA Noire 25 hours, Max Payne 3 17 hours, GTA 5 30 1/2 hours, RDR2 50 hours. And looking at the last 3 GTA games its 30 1/2 for San Andreas, 27 Hours for GTA 4 and then 30 1/2 for GTA 5 its gonna easily be 50+ considering RDR2 was in development for around about 8 years. When GTA 6 will have had about 11.
The disrespect to rocksar is insane, but o get the feeling the boys only know gta 5 and arent actually fans of rockstar themselves, rockstar hasn't missed and surpasses expectations with every campaign on every year they release a game since like 2001
They're not game journalists and they don't play the game as much. They're grown adults with multiple businesses. Y'all taking the criticism way too literal. And GTA IV was the worst GTA so don't suck them off too much
In their defense, Rockstar hasn't released a video-game-a-year since the 2000's. Ever since GTA V (in 2013) the last game they've released was RD2 in 2018. Granted both games are massive successes in the video game and entertainment community, but still, being a company whose only released 2 games in 10 years can put doubt on anyone when they haven't released anything new in the past decade.
They talk like this now but just wait until it comes out and all of their playthroughs start rolling in lol. The only one i trust to give an authentic playthrough is Josh
@@wesner1th they play games just not rockstar bro, they love the GTA 5 campaign and think it's a masterpiece, like wtf did I just read, are you a kid trying to grow up or something? And yes gta4 is the worst, and still a masterpiece it has steep competition not because you thought that other people thought the game was actually trash 😂 maybe know what you're talking about first before you start talking shit
@@rileyditomaso550 yeah ofc, like I said I just wasn't aware that GTA 5 seems like the only rockstar game they played, they have played other really good triple A campaigns so they know how rare a masterpiece is
Vikk saying that gaming is on its knees during one of the best years for gaming in recent history is hilarious, but that's what playing only shooters and Minecraft does to a guy.
@@xroyal2179you are infact clueless, this was literally the best gaming year since 2018, 2020 was decent due to ghost of tsushima and tlou2 but since then this is the best gaming year since 2018
the red dead 2 storyline was like 45-50 hours if you take the most efficient routes and shit , no way gta 6 is gonna be 20 hours, you can well red dead had a lot of traveling sure but gta has to be 35 hours plus
They snapped with the timing of this trailer, people hyped now then early next year we gonna forget about it and then they gonna end up dropping a new trailer in summer or something and then the hype comes back and stays for the rest of the year into 2025
1:21 It's understandable that people are "pissed" about it being 2025, we've been waiting so long, but obviously it's gonna be worth it in the long ron. 1:48 it will live up to gta 5 and it will surpass it, maybe the online stuff wont, but the core game, single player/story mode 100% will live up to it, and not only live up to it, it will surpass it. 1:59 gaming on it's knees? Maybe for casual gamers, There are a lot of really great games coming out all the time, but those games might not get views on youtube or twitch so the casuals wont play those games, but gaming is 100% not on it's knees, it's bigger than tv, movies, books and music combined. 2:11 20 hours? What on earth is Vik smoking? Yeah sure it will be shorter than gta 5, lol. 2:14 It's going to be bigger than red dead 2, (which was over 40 hour story mode) so yes it will be over 40 hours. 2:26 They have added zero, 0% Nothing, naught, Nill, nothing at all to the story mode in gta 5, I have no idea what vik is talking about here, nothing has been added to the story in gta 5 (i am not counting cars, clothes, weapons, that doesn't add to the story) I actually don't think Vik has even played the story and he thinks online is the core game. 2:53 just like most games, it's not 100% complete during the first trailer, you could look at red dead 2 first trailer and then look at the gameplay, and you'll notice the difference just there. They will add on to it and make it look even better than what the trailer showed. 3:30 Jj is correct, Rockstar doesn't need to promote to make their games a success, 1 min 30 sec trailer over 1 million likes and prob over 130 million views now, and 1 tweet with over 1 million likes, Their brand is so strong that they don't need to promote, they still will, but they don't have to go crazy with it unlike others. It would honestly be fun to watch them play the story mode, but that wont happen probably, I know some of them have already, but it's clear that they haven't all played the actual game, and only done online stuff.
Watching this clip honestly made me sad. Have you watched Josh's reaction? Now HIS reaction is what we need from gamers, especially groups like the Sidemen who were born out of GTA5 content (for the most part). Josh's reaction was so wholesome but these 3 (JJ actually seemed excited) are just shitting on it for no reason AND clearly not in the loop. This game is going to be huge, and like you said numbers dont lie in regards to the GTA6 trailer. Now we know to only watch Josh's playthrough- at least hes an actual fan of GTA and Rockstar in general.
Thanks Christ KSI speaks for normal individuals we are all ecstatic after all this time while all the geeks who drag the stereotype through the dirt will never be happy & complain no matter what is shown 🤮🥴🤮
@@ItzEx0dia Don’t worry my nephew is dyslexic also I was just saying while being 30 & playing games since I was 2 while being passionate about games it makes my skin crawl how a large portion of others who play games. They go out there way to never be happy and are cynical to a very disgusting degree quite tragic how entitled they are 😓
@@scotchgaming.5438You're honestly making no sense and haven't yet cleared up what you're referring to. You just mentioned KSI and said some random things about people not being happy and complaining. Who complaining and what are they complaining about?
The main thing is the custom maps and modes they need to leave available for players because thats what made gta V last so long and be so damn successful
Dude ngl I am so happy it is in 2025 cuz then ill have finished school and can play as much as I like instead of being worried about it being senior year and need to study
Most of them are clueless when it comes to actual gaming. It's crazy to say that gaming is on it's knees, it's bigger than movies, tv, music, books combined and it keeps growing.
GTA 6 will definitely have more hype than GTA 5, but we don’t know if it will carry more longevity. Rockstar caught lighting in a bottle with the longevity for gta 5 online
IF you had the pleasure to play RDR2 then you already know what GTA 6 is gonna be like. The game in gonna be on and upgraded version of the same engine RDR2 was made on. Nothing but perfection!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, it doesn't take much to make a better GTA 5. Idk What expectations can't they achieve. New City, Better graphics, New cars is enough to make them com
As much as I love GTA 5, I wouldn't even consider it their best game. To live up to the hype, they can bring back features from 4 and San Andreas (and I honestly think the stories in those games were better than 5's story), and make it feel as massive as RDR2. That's the real question they should be asking, can it live up to RDR2
Simon, 2025 is almost here but all their releases have been Q4…so it’ll be almost 2 years before it’s released (IF they follow previous releases for GTA). Vik, story mode is gonna be really long-rockstar says they want to charge more for the game because of how long the story mode is…so it’s not gonna be a 20-40 hour game. Sidemen need a current relations team lol
Again, RDR2 was a VERY long game tbf, missions alone its along doing a lot of side content too can bump it to 60+ hours first time round which in my opinion is more than enough seeing the variety in story endings will add more hours to do the specific stuff for it, RDR2 definitely lived up if not beat expectations, online was fun while it lasted when it was actually getting content regularly
Just depends on what you're looking for really. There are great games releasing every year but he's talking from the perspective of youtube/twitch and it's been a really long time since something has really popped off in that regard.
GTA 5 had hype because of Online as well. I feel like they have a lot to live up to with their Online. Honestly I'm keeping my expectations low because after playing a game like Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, GTA needs to do a lot to be as exciting. So i'm not holding out hope for anything crazy, but knowing Rockstar, they're gonna smash it.
It hasn’t been 10 years as Simon, it’s been like 5 or 6 bc rockstar had to work on rdr2 which came out in 2018, and the probably started working on it in like 2019
so my fav game is days gone, and i played alot of different games, shooters, battle royale, singleplayer,co op whatever days gone normal story is 36 hours, and if u want to 100% it's 65 hours so if gta 6 main story,so without side quests and stuff, just main missions,if it's under 50 hours it's bad i just started playing gta 5 again, like after that first big mission before u unlock trevor, you have few side missions and that's it after you unlock trevor, you just play him for some time, that's what we need in gta 6 but better
The reason it took soo long, regardless of GTA Online is because GTA 6 HAD to live up to GTA 5 If GTA 6 came out 5 years ago, it just couldn't have been that much better. With GTA 6 they're already showing stuff we've just never seen before in GTA. Even the NPC details from RDR2 in GTA 6 will be mind-blowing. Let alone all the other new stuff
The real question thy should be asking is if it can live up to Red Dead Redemption 2. Look, I love GTA 5, but it won't take much to surpass it, bring back some features from GTA 4 and San Andreas, tell an even better story, and make the world as humongous and lively as RDR2. And make the combat as great as Max Payne 3 (that one's a bonus). And no way in hell would a Rockstar game be 20 hours, just look as RDR2
Vik saying gaming is on its knees rn is so stupid. 2023 has been probably one of the greatest years in gaming history, but it's hard to miss it when the only shit you play is Cod and Fortnite
Not sure why Vik thought there has been story expansions for GTA V. There has been 0. That was probably the biggest let down for the game. Hopefully they change that for 6
People are acting like 2025 is a long way away lmfao, it's Rockstar too, did they really expect them to drop the game upon release of the first trailer? Lmfao.
It's a AAA game they've been working on since 2013. working on a game for 12 years is wild for a major studio. 60% of them only want to play the online anyways, Watch when they get mad when it releases a month after the game lol... Btw it would have been better to release the trailer 6 months before release, 2 years is unnecessary
Bro everyone is mad about the release being 2 years away. People forgot that the first GTA 5 trailer was 2011 and the game came out in 2013. RDR2's first trailer was 2016 and the game came out in 2018. Calm the fuck down and be patient. Let them take their time making the game as perfect as possible at launch ffs
Horrible excuse. Terrible marketing move. 60% of the audience only wants to play the online. Watch them get mad when it releases a month after the game
