Sideshow Star Wars Darth Vader Mythos Statue Review 

I get that there's technically a lot of these made, but people are going to really want that extra head sculpt with the damaged helmet, it's just too good to pass up. Plus you get the unique flaming lightsaber, which I think is pretty cool. So yeah there's a lot made, but not nearly as many made with the exclusive options, and I think the exclusive is going to sell out faster than people think. This statue has been extremely well received and is going to be very popular.

You've sold me on this statue. I don't really collect Darth Vader things, with just one Kotobukiya 1/10 scale Vader. Now I need to get this.

You guys gotta see that this is a special statue and better looking than most if not all sideshow statues as of late. Its a complete banger and I can guarantee the exclusive edition wont be going on any deep sale and thats because its been getting much praise outside of the star wars guru circle. People who dont buy statues are buying him based on it being a raw and mystical interpretation of Vader. Something that hasn't been done much for Vader which makes it special in my opinion

Great review. Kucharek Bros have been around a long time, I still own a few of their Bowen pieces which are still amazing representations of the character. Love this piece and totally agree waiting for price drops Sideshow has been making way too many high ES statues, this one has showed up on Seconds twice while it is still on PO. Once it’s on stock, i will probably get one when it regularly shows on seconds or one of their daily deals.

I think that too I think there's flames or smoke where they should have been lit up more of a badass statue if they would have done that.

Totally agree. Love the mythos line…but 1/5 scale just doesn’t fit with the bigger statue collection

Love this interpretation of Vader but agree Medinalorian I’ll probably wait for a sale/discount getting this. Can’t believe I don’t have a Vader statue yet 😱

What's your guess on the leaning issue it might have due to the cape? If 1 means it will lean and 10 means it will not. Could'nt tell exactly.

The flaming saber fits firmly into the hilt. You just have to push it in more at a certain angle.

That has got to be one of the best I've seen. I've been holding off to see what they come up with from the Obi-Wan series. This really could match well with an Obi-Wan if they do THAT right. But it's definitely one I'd love to have.

I’ll be annoyed if it goes on sale. Maybe the non exclusive won’t sell out but I imagine the exclusive will and that’s the only one to have in my opinion. Seeing Anakin through the helmet is the cherry on top.

Back watching your review, and unfortunately this is sold out and before even going on sale. I sold mine few months back but now I wish I hadn’t sold it. It’s a magnificent statue.

I like it, but personally, the original Vader Mythos statue is still my favorite. There are multiple design choice on this piece that I don't like; the flaming light sabre, the fire on the base and the over-exaggerated cape. Artistically, it's an amazing piece, but for me, not really representative of the cinematic Vader that I love.

Rarity and size edition should never be a factor in collecting. Investing, maybe.

When I saw the fight scene in Obi-Wan I said to myself sideshows gonna make a statue out of this, they have to and I will buy it. Just purchased it today.

Really, there are only 4500 :) The split helmet is an absolute must for me. Only reason I ordered it. I couldn't be happier with the sculpt. The paint is very good, but not top tier. Extremely happy with it, especially matched with the matching Asajj.

I'd just flip the EX blade upside down and say to anyone who asks that it's the lava crystal from Mustafar hence why it's also dripping lava HAHAHAH

I’ve literally had zero desire to buy anything like this but I preordered it. It’s striking. Very, very heavy. 35lbs. Maybe more. The flaming saber is WILD. I just wish his cape was all black instead of the red reflection because I’ve already taken the saber out which also looks amazing.

I think the statue Cape is a bit much and it is a little pricey I think you're right about just waiting a while and see what the price to come down but it is a good statue overall.
