I review my Adventure 2 GoreTex boots and compare them to my favorite Sidi Crossfire motocross boots. I give reasons why you might choose an ADV style boot over a motocross boots, like comfort, waterproofing, and ease of walking.

I love these boots for touring. I would not wear them off-road unless you’re going to spend like 5 mins off-road. They won’t protect you enough.

I did my own detailed research on boots last year so it's interesting to see your review on these. Many great reviews elsewhere as well. I would have gone with these but they were too narrow for me. I also tried one size up but had pain points after wearing them for a few minutes (hinge bolt location). They definitely offer the most protection from all adventure boots. I also tried Alpinestars Toucan but they don't have inner-side hinges, so I thoguht why bother with inconvenience of bulky boots if they don't provide proper protection... I ended up with sth in between of Adventure 2 and Crossfire, i.e. Sidi x-3. Overall, I'm pretty happy, much better to walk in than Crossfires but offers a bit more protection than Adventure 2. The major difference is the sole. That's my major gripe about them as the soles are a bit too tough for my liking. But they're comfy enough for me to use them for every ride, no matter on or off road, or going to a cafe :) I've noticed that since I bought them Sidi started making an Enduro-sole version which I'd consider if I was buying them now ;)

Would they fit a very narrow foot?

Hello, I am using Vespa gts. I want to buy this boat. Because it will protect my shins in case of an accident. Did I get right? In which season can I wear it? I do not use a scooter in rain and snowy weather. In rainless, hot or cold weather. But I use it especially between May and September. In my country, the temperature between May and September is between 25 and 40 degrees. Do you think summer heat will be a problem with this boot? Is it a problem to have it on my feet in winter or cold months? Will it be a problem for the scooter? What is the difference between suede and leather models? Is the leather model safer and warmer? Thanks

What would you take on a BDR? The Adventure or the Crossfire?

I just bought a pair but the buckles are difficult to adjust. Is there a trick to adjusting them?

I've had my set of OG Sidi Adventure Goretex boots now for about ten years. They're still in great shape, no issues with the soles delaminating or stitching on the uppers, buckles work as intended. I also have a set of Sidi Crossfires and I much prefer the Adventures, the control feel with the Crossfires is horrible. I literally can't feel the shifter or rear brake pad with them at all, so while they might offer some additional protection vs the Adventures, the better control feel of the Adventures lets me avoid crashes to begin with

Definitely check these out in store and compare to other motocross boots before buying. I almost pulled the trigger on these until i compared them to the crossfires, if you plan on off-roading anything other than a gravel road: Compare your choices in person.

I went to 4 local stores and called two others and none of them had my size of 41 in almost any boot!! I would love to try on boots but the Seattle area inventory sucks! They're forcing me to buy on line.

Great review, thanks. I’m considering these but do a lot of stopping and walking . I’ve owned a pair of decent hiking boots (miendl £300) that seem a good alternative. Yes I know you sacrifice shin protection but ankle support is decent enough

What do you think of the lower type boots like Forma Adventure Low Boots. I Almost never go off road

I’m looking for adventure boot with good protection of the inner lower leg and Goretex. Have been hurt by the peg.

I have a pair of Sidi road boots. Bout them about 8 year ago. Like you I really like my Sidi boots. Question- do you think the boot sizing is the same as it was in previous years? for me Sidi tends to run small. Eric

1250GS is a very heavy bike , how confident are you with this boot if the GS landed on your lower leg ?

Too many recent quality control issues to justify the cost. The price says made in Italy the quality control says made in China

Sidi is making their boots in Romania and Alpinestars are made in Croatia.
