*CORRECTION* It was .177cal not .177mm. Also, .177cal and 4.5mm is the same thing. Either way, DON'T bring a pellet gun to an airsoft game. Thanks, everyone.
This is the best video I've watched regarding Airsoft pistols. Wish I watched this before jumping in a buying my first pistol - ASG CZ p-09. It's an amazing pistol but like you suggested, there's little to no aftermarket support for that gun here for me in the UK.
I usually tell new players to pick whatever feels better in their hands. With "real steel" the difference between a 1911, a G17 and say a Makarov is huge- 3 different calibers, mag capacities, recoils, etc. Whereas in airsoft, it's just a matter of comfort, really.
Nice video, I would have to add that there is also red gas and even black gas used when temperatures get colder, the green gas is actually for summer purpose..
Great content! keep it up! very informative on the topic. What I enjoyed the most the simple key fact that you mentioned " I am not here to tell you which brand or type of pistol to buy" but rather inform you on making the right choice for you! very useful for newer players who want to try or want to get into pistols. I have multiple pistol during my airsoft career and nothing beats a WE Tech Glock 17-19 in MY OPINION, Great out of the box and lower cost than a TM glock 17-19. Although as you explained most after market parts are made for the godfather of guns "TM". So small micro adjustment before installation may be necessary but mostly drop in. Cant wait to be back at siege for some #pewpew
My first “airsoft” gun ended up actually being a metal BB gun. Didn’t know until I actually got the gun and saw the caliber was .177 BBs. Still makes for a fun target practice gun
First airsoft pistol was the JAG Arms JW4 Pit Viper. It's a beautiful 2011 varient, and it was like $220 off of Evike. Love it to death! Just gotta get spare mags for it now.
@@bagel556 Apologies for the super late reply. The Pit Viper is absolute eye candy. It shoots like 400+ fps, so it's not too safe for indoor play in some or most places (more like all). That's because the inner barrel extends up to the end of the compensator. It needs a shorter inner barrel. That said, it's still a great 2011/Hi-capa and again, it's eye candy (which is honestly the real appeal to it).
I like being a special snowflake with my nbb exception, TM mk23. Added some new upgrades and playing pistol only outdoors this weekend. But I would almost never recommend that for a new player. I've owned lots of hicapas, and they are awesome for indoors, but you will need to sell a kidney and mortgage your neighbors house to get mags. Pistol only is a lot of fun though. Loving the videos, been playing for years and get lots of good ideas still
@@awkwerdcreations408 I’ve actually been debating wether to get one I mainly play cqb. I know it’s not your super fast gun but I like to play stealthy and accurately shooting. Should I get a tm mk23 for cqb.
@@santi_super_stunts2573 it's pretty silent, but you don't get many follow up shots. The entire action happens by pulling the trigger, so it's a long stiff trigger pull. I still love mine, it's stupid accurate at range. But I also plan on building a hicapa for those speedy boi days
Im about to straight up buy a whole Hi-capa 5.1 kit ^^ because of parts availability.... upgrades are endless.... (Also, i want to play SpeedQB as a sport)
The only use i can see for spring pistols is cqb city where you just got into airsoft and you need a pistol immediately to go inside the bank. you can only use a pistol in certain areas and you also arent allowed to use drums or hpa tapped mags. Then. Couple moths later you throw the springer in the trash broken or not regardless if you have a gbb or not and buy a gbb. I will be buying an aw gucci glock when i get some money.
I used to spend a bunch of money on my side arms but realized they basically spend 90% of their life on my side and only get pulled out when I'm within 20 feet for med. Everything brakes eventually, and since a 10 dollar rubber can increase the accuracy of the shittiest pistol, I started getting 100-130$ side arms, adding a good rubber and calling it a day. I only use it close up plus if I can't hit my opponent in a couple shots what good does having 25 plus rounds on me do? 😅
I have exactly the same. My sidearm only gets used 2 times in a day. 1 time right before the lunch break to empty my mag on the nearest tree/sign. The 2nd time is even more awesome. This is at the end of the day if I need to empty all my mags. That time I can also shoot all my other mags empty from my primary.
I would love to see somebody take a reverse angle to this and show us how these pistols fit in their real life holsters. I own blocks in real life and I'm always hesitant to buy an airsoft Glock because I understand that they won't always fit in my Safari Land holsters
Must say, great video. Don't agree with some of your statements about NBB pistols but each to their own. The trigger pull is pants if you are playing CQB style but long range quiet and accurate shots is what it is built for. The TM and Novritsch Mk 23s are great pistols and not poorly made. Saying that, after playing several CQB sites recently I have just bought myself a gloch for the fast close range stuff. Loved the descriptions and tone, keep up the great work.
After so many years in airsoft and having wasted money, I can recommend one thing, buy an upgradeable replica. Which one? TM HiCapa, VFC Glock, TM SOCOM and AAP 01. These are the best bases for upgrades with high compatibility and spare parts. My recommendation? TM HiCapa and AAP 01. Why? They are the best. The AAP is cheaper to upgrade and new things are released for this replica every day, plus it's easy to upgrade on your own. The HiCapa, who doesn't like a nice HiCapa? xD. The downside is that it's more difficult and you may need expert help or watch tutorials, plus it's more expensive.
I wish i would have seen this video six months ago lol….i was so hype to get into airsoft…i was at my local bass pro shop an got a glock from there…turned out to shoot 6mm steel bbs so i wanted to cry when i couldnt use it on the field
also for pricing aap-01 and basically any new army armament pistols are under 100 bucks and are sometimes better than things twice the price for brands, tm is overrated kjw is the bomb
Hi! Looks like a M9 style'd gun. I would look at stuff that fits that. If not, have a look at one of the TLR light or x300 Blackhawk Omnivores. Just be sure to get a compatible light (TLR or X300 light) and it should fit no issues.
Hey 👋 siege so I had a quick question I was wondering if you can transfer propane gas to a smaller bottle because it would be kind of annoying to run around the field with a big ass propane canister so I heard in the video you use propane so I was just wondering how do you keep reserve gas in the field Thanks siege for this video been going to your field for a while now and been wanting to get into pistols
There used to be a gas can attachment that Airsoft Innovations made, however they do not make it anymore and it has not been made for sometime. The most ideal solution honestly is just more magazines. It's not really a good experience to only have one magazine and needing to refil in the middle of play, this is why in our guide we always recomend investing in more mags. If you really need to carry gas on our field, just mark it off, leave it at spawn on a safe location and you should be okay.
Some airsodt shops sell small canisters that can be filled with propane or green gas. Toronto airsoft sells dummy grenades that work exactly like that. Evike sells one canister like this but it's just a plain one
You know, I get the fact that HICapa and glocks are the best choices but it’s the availability of these fucking things in stores (excuse my language). I get it’s hard to get them now but throughout the years I’ve constantly checked and no store has ever restocked them(in Canada). And I’m abit sceptical of getting them of off the company store like WE.
Me choose BERRATA Airsoft nerd: um actually you shouldn't use it because Me: i have a pelt fun version of this and a cheap ass airsoft version i like how it is
