Well it doesn't help that statistically Decepticons tend to favour war vehicles (jets, tanks, a hand gun) and industrial vehicles (the constructicons, trains, etc), where as most autobots favor commercial vehicles (sports cars, pick ups, semis, etc) and rescue/service vehicles (police cruiser, fire trucks, ambulances). Now granted there are emotions to this (jetfire and wind blade are autobot jets. Barricade is a deception police cruiser) but generally you see a tank in the transformers universe and its almost always a decepticon

@@ArcheTelos Pretty sure it's meant to emphasise the character's moral ambiguity, especially considering that the IDW incarnation of Impactor which the three-pack version depicts with the new head sculpt is very much defined by that trait. The decepticon angle specifically is kind of weird because he's never ever been depicted as one before (I'm pretty sure anyway) but again I think they're just trying to make the point that he _could_ defect to the decepticons since he doesn't exactly line up with the traditional autobot ideal.

@@jamesl949 I have been a fan of Impactor since the original UK TF run back in the 80s and early 90s. It was a excellent story line and I read them all again recently. They still hold up pretty well and actually prefer that run to the IDW these days.

Update: finally scored one at my local Meijer store on Sunday, and he's as awesome as I was hoping he would be.

JustYourAverageKirill that’s the only reason. Why else would they have it hollow if it was for storage or transformation?

Other third party companies have managed to produce transformers that have a more quality look and feel and have managed to fill in sections of the figure nicely. I know that some areas have to have cut-out sections for transformation, but for what they charge for the siege figures, this should’ve been executed better.

justy I actually prefer the head sculpt on this one. It’s very Marvel Comics. So, I’m good without the three pack.

@@Thunderwing88 Then you are lucky...me personally got to know him through idw comic so I prefer the 3 pack head. That being said, the Marvel Comics head doesn't look bad at all, i probably would've been satisfied if I don't love idw impactor so much.

justy I have only read the U.S. Marvel Comics, which he isn’t in. I now want to read Target: 2006 because of this figure.
