The battle damage acctually makes sense on Springer since he is a wrecker and been in battle alot

I think the back wheels actually make sense in helicopter mode. They're the part that spins on the rear to control turning and make sure he doesn't just spin wildly

Given that we’ve had Magnus, mascot battle master Smashdown, and eventually Impactor, they should relase other Wreckers in this line or in future WFC. Glad to see Jerry be part of this.

Since Wheeljack is on the box artwork I hope it means Hasbro is thinking about giving him a toy eventually for the siege line

I like this figure, but the Generations Springer just looks better in all three modes. Also, I have the same problem with Siege Soundwave's backpack, but at least Springer doesn't have a shoulder mounted rocket pod pushing the backpack off.

In helicopter mode If you plug the "front" gun into the bottom port with the "back" gun attached there's just the right amount of space in the gap were the legs.. hips... whatever for the 5mm on the back to fit in. Makes the gun not so pronounced out the front but still offers storage. Pegging them into each hand also works to store em away.

Seige looks way better than that MP type thing. That skit at the end was hilarious as always.

Just got mine today! I was so happy when they announced this figure. On top of being entertaining, your vids help a ton with transformations as the included ones for this were strangely confusing.

Thanks for doing the Springer comparisons for me. I did not want to relearn the Generations one.

I think this is a pretty sweet figure, however, I kinda wish he has the same types of weapons as the generations one, that one executes the sword and propellers better

They're coming out with a Siege Apeface. It'd be cool if that could use the Titanmaster Apeface as a head.

Think I'd try that "two guns together with the swords on the side" as a rifle for robot mode. At least from the side view they looked like a great idea for a rifle for Springer.

I got mine the other day, totally agree with you on the floppy backpack and knees. One of the swords is also a bit curved out of the but, but I think I can fix that with a bit of quality time with the hair dryer.

Re-watched this today because I was rearranging my Desk bots at work and added this one to the mix -- Totally forgot about the effect piece that can attach to the blades!! Now I need to find a couple of Lionizers!! Dang it!! 😀

Great review Emgo. I cant wait to see this in stores. The Siege line is the most modern update to G1 Transformers I've seen in a long time.

you are a life saver, just got mine from china, nearly a year after this video, and for the life of me i never would have got him transformed. he's a fiddly one.

This guy's really grown on me. I still like the look of the Generations one better, but after seeing the SS86 and Kingdom figures this one will definitely fit in much better with them and I've come to really like the car mode. I'm still reluctant to get him though in case they release a repaint in SS86 without the battle damage and with a slightly muted green (and maybe even a new accessory or two).

Crazy the left knee on my figure untabs when bending but not the right one so much. 🤔

Am I the only one that prefers the generations springer? I feel it pulls off all three modes better and truthfully I like the generations' weapons more.

He's very cool looking, I have him too, I agree with you about the back pack, I wish that they would have come out the one without battle damage like they did for Galvatron. I was hoping that they would, I was so very disappointed they didn't.

We got Springer in Siege and we got Sky Lynx in Earthrise. Commander Modesty.

I would love a more tactical repaint of Springer. The green should be olive drab, the yellow should be FDE, and the grey should be darker.

The only nitpick for me: the shoulder pads could've been engineered to sit sideways like his G1 self, otherwise this looks niiiiice.

This one made me seek out the Generations Voyager being released. I like the siege line and how they mostly stick to designs that Evoke the G1 style, but the Generations, now Legends, version is so much more streamlined. As you mentioned the wheels this version doesn't seem much like what I conceive a helicopter to be. It almost reminds me of how, as a kid, all my toy cars could fly simply because I left the doors open.

People really slept on this figure, huh?

These are soo cool looking but such a chore to transform. It totally takes away from having a war with my kids. Haha

I don’t how you do it so smoothly, I received mine today and it took awhile to get it completely down packed. All in all, Springer is a must have.

I wish hasbro could make another mold for Springer. The fall of Cybertron concept would be perfect.

4:40 - they gave Springer a gunblade

I deducted a couple of points for the back pack not tabbing in and the front chest panel likewise not tabbing in securely. The transformation is a little convoluted in that every joint and hinge gets worked out pretty well, in part because it's a triple changer, translation, it will get loosey goosey that much faster, I already had to use floor wax on the ankle hinges.

Folding wheels would have added that extra bit for sure. But he does make a good fidget spinner

Yes! I can finally replace the Thrilling 30 Springer. The Thrilling 30 Springer was near perfect except for his legs. He looks like he got in line twice on leg day.

after so many years of watching emgo, why am i thinking his room looks like autobot city the day after, except with transformers boxes instead of bodies?

i found a neat way to display the blades in robot mode where they won't fall off. I attach them to the port on the his offhand forearm, attached to the rotor. makes for a nice spinning blade weapon

You can add the generations weapons to the siege springer to make him awesome.

I like how Emgo hasn't bothered to use a black light on the boxes of the seige wfc figures.

My Springer legs do the exact same thing. Got to be something with the mold.

You know with a bit of painting and a new head sculpt this mold could be used as Shattered Glass Galvatron it would make sense since the official figure used springers universe mold.

Seems like the transformation takes some cues from FansToys Apache, at least in the legs a bit.

I have a issue with my wreck 'n' rule version where the from of both vehicle modes bends downwards, thus the tops won't tab properly. 😢
