The Victory Column is one of Berlin's most famous landmarks. It majestically stands in the Great Tiergarten in the middle of a roundabout, attracting numerous visitors each year. It was erected between 1864 and 1873. The original construction was a tribute to the three victories in the German Wars of Unification.
