Hi, im looking to buy XYZ mini mill 2006. Can't find much information on the internet, can you give some feedback on the machine pros&con, any concerns. How does it stands against hass mini mill?
Well for one a haas mini mill i smaller. Has a haas specific controller and are crazy expensive second hand compared to these. But its a stable machine if its taken care off. Can still get some parts for it. But its a taiwan built machine like most machines are. Not much to say. I got it for its size. Easy to man handle as a one man operation if i really have to. :)
Hi, I need to upload my NC & PLC data to the machine, I have just got win pcin for doing this, do I just need a standard rs232 cable and which port should I plug it in to?
Depends on your machine, most cases the heads up panel has a extratected DB25 port on the side, backside or similar for DNC connection. You need a fully pinned DB9->DB25 connector, would recommend you look at "Cimco" support pages for wiring diagrams. Easies is to buy DB9 plugs with screw connectors and similar for DB25, you can find pairs on amazon for em. And then just use a ethercat cable as it has 8 strands easy to screw into the terminal and are available in most radio shacks. :)
Don't have a 808D controller, or even know what a flexicom stealth is. :) 808D is a budget version of the 828 - no proper CCU in there, so not sure how it propagates settings.
the backup process starts but after a while it stops and shows a message similar to yours - t0 Unit 00001 please change roll T=00001 ... Etc. what should i do then?
@@Moronicsmurf I have removed the tool from the spindle and the error is no longer present, but the transmission stops in the same place. it's strange because when the transmission stops, I can go to the winpcin program, do a second time receiving data and the transmission continues but to the next file
hello sir we have sinumerik 810d contorller and we have a warning about unauthorised changing parameters change, there is no original cd or floppy of machine available,i was sondering if u could guide us through this problem
You need to have a backup for your machine or one very similar to your machine. Especially the PLC part where the motor control lives.. the PC/NC side can be cobbled.
@@danipavlov9185 Do you even realize what you asking? You think i got some universal library of random peoples Siemens machines lying around?! :D If you don't have one.. your machine is scrap. Unless you manually configure it back up again line by line.
@@danipavlov9185 No, and i'm not a support business. I just put this information up for people struggling with restoring their machines or servicing them before putting them into storage. It is an old system - and not alot of knowledge floating around about it out there. If you f'ed it up. You have two options, find the restore disk for your machine, forums and facebook might be able to help you if you can find someone with an identical machine as yours. Or you can turn to the manufacture and hope they have an archive of old commissioned systems, they usually do keep some stuff around. And if not you need to reach out to a siemens technician to pay them to restore the machine the hard way by doing a new comission on it. that is usually very expensive and i would recommend to consider a conversion to a different system - like linuxcnc or similar at that point.
That would be software piracy. You either have it with the machines original cd's / floppies. If not u can use hyperyetminal on windows or minicom in linux. Its just a serial interface. Even putty would work.
@@sermchartpakum5051 the battery sits inside your ccu module. You need to disconnect all cables and pull the module out of the machine. The battery sits on the board in the rear with a jst connector. Once the module is out you have 10min before it looses all settings. So out new battery in back into machine pretty fast.. :)
