Excuse moi to ask this, i'm not an industrial designer, but why curvature continuity became so important nowadays in industrial design ? Is it purely an aesthetic prescription ? Or is it directly related to the later numerical transcription of toolhead movements for machining ?
+Okto Putsch It is aesthetics. Older software could not easily do G3. Now they do. It was all based off of surface complexity as well. With G3 you necessarily need surfaces and curves that have a higher order and older CAD systems and hardware really do well with super complex. Now we can easily so designers have at it.
