As someone who grew up in an Eastern European home (Latvian/Estonian/Belgian/Romanian) as first generation American, I suddenly came to understand my passion for things Latvian/Estonian/Lithuanian watching this video. This audience in Miami, Florida so appreciates music from their homeland 40 miles across the ocean....just as hearing a traditional Latvian folk song at a choral concert evokes tears in that audience.... ¡LIBERTAD PARA CUBA!
Written by Sr. Ernesto Lecuona for the theme music of the 1942 film "Always in My Heart" Starring Kay Francis and Walter Houston. (they don't write music like this anymore !!!)
Sempre me emociona.
These people had their beautiful country stolen from them. Most people don't even know how beautiful and cultured they were at the time. I'm so glad America could be a refuge to many of them but i know it could never be the same. My mentor was from that era. He came here through Columbia and achieved great things but most importantly he loved people and helped fix my heart. I knew I shouldn't have listened to this. The memories are so intense, I won't be able to sleep for a while.
ive been looking for this song for a while! my mother gifted me a music box when i was 8 years old that played this song! the date on the box is 2002 so 20 years ago!
Muchisimas gracias.
Hola, la película se llama SIEMPRE EN MI CORAZÓN y su título original inglés es Always in my heart si pones en esta misma página always in my heart warner bros podrás ver un trailer de la misma. Saludos.
