Talia Parr true. Also phonetically japanese isn’t hard to pronounce since their whole alphabet is different phonetic sounds anyways. Like ma mi mu me mo. Or ka ki ku ke ko. As long as you know the ending sounds on those aka a, i, u, e, o which is pronounced like a=ah i=ee u=oo e=eh o=oh As long as your remember that you can pronounce almost anything. Some are harder to pronounce but it just takes practice lol
She not only sings, but always takes herself into the mind of the Christine. Look at her expression, so indulged in the music. She is a genius, so wonderful!
@@Knaifuwaifulaifu its clear christine is a character important to her that she knows well. She is enjoying herself, but whenev3r sje performs this song you can see parts of her christine do come out. Even if you disagree OP was making a wholesome little comparison your negative condescending is unecessary
@@em3952 i wasnt being negative? I was just saying she is more enjoying herself here rather than acting and partially being Christine. Shes just more enjoying the fact shes doing what she loves
There are plenty of talented singers in the world, but few can make what appears to be almost humanly impossible seem effortless. Her voice is second to none. She’ll always be the one and only Christine.
she seems like such a nice and genuine person in her shows and interviews, i dont even know her but i feel like i would really like her and could be friends with her :)
@@pseudonymousanonymous5829 i saw an interview she was talking about her les mis solo "and in a bed" and she just laughed at herself... she seems like you can really have fun conversations with her
borednow exactly, she’s really down to earth, and just seems like a cheerful and funny person overall. That’s why so many people love her (including me :p)
The Japanese version of phantom of the opera is a bit criticized in Japan for poor translation, but she makes every verse sound so graceful. Truly love Sierra Boggess, what an angel ❤️
Randa McKell the reason for that is because she has perfect pitch. her sisters have it as well! so when they perform or play they know the cord or note to hit and can play/sing it naturally without fail.
It's been a very long time since Ive studied Japanese, so correct me if I'm wrong but... Her pronounciation is spectacular! I particularly noticed that she didn't pronounce う/u the typical westerner way with rounded lips, she keep them more like a smile-shape and it sounded beautiful!
I would assume she learned it through IPA (international phonetic alphabet - has a symbol for literally every sound in the human language so far). As far as I know that's how opera singers learn their parts because they have to switch between languages for the different performances. Happy to be proved wrong if someone has more knowledge in this area? Just my two cents
Amazing! I love how excited she seems at 1:49 , just before the Japanese version starts. And at 3:10 , her face is so cute! She's so talented (I mean... Listen to her!) and so lovely! One day I'll be watching her live!!!
They're finally going to on September 2020 with the 25th anniversary cast! But not entirely sure if it's going to be postponed or not because of the pandemic
Interesting to see how her voice changed because of the japanese language. We talk how our voice changes according to language and this is a very good example. When she transitioned to english, her tone was different from the usual when she sings in english and it was very clear the difference.
People comment on her talent. This is craft. A lot of hard work went into this. It didn't just fall into her lap. People say it did, just disrespect all her hard work.
I had goosebumps when you sang in Japanese!!! You're sooo amazing!!! I was doing a sitting ovation at home... together with the live audiences... I rllllly look forward to the Japanese version one! :D
Sierra bonita, no solo eres una gran profesional con una voz prodigiosa, sino que al verte uno descubre a una gran persona llena de humanidad. Gracias porque ver tus actuaciones es para mi un motivo de sincera felicidad
