Februrary 5, 2022 - Amari Bailey makes his homecoming to Chicago in front of a sold out Wintrust Arena as they take on undefeated Glenbard West. The game was broadcast on ESPN+
I was gonna say. I hear so much negativity around him and the kid has a CLIP. I’d say he’s ahead of the curve with that jumper. You know he’ll keep growing/build more muscle and he’s already a freak athlete. With that shot he has he can be dangerous.
Great game but I’m more impressed with Glenbard West. A public school that stayed toe to toe with a private school that recruits nationally is impressive.
That's the best game I've ever seen Bronny play. He finally played with a swagger like he knew he was one of best players on the court. It's one thing to be a team player and it's another thing to play aggressive. You can be a great team player and still play with aggression. I think he's starting to learn how to do that.
Say what you want about bronny but every time their is a big game that’s nationally televised he absolutely shows his potential and steps up! Kid is gonna be good! What an entertaining game
Dylan Metoyer was solid all season. He is on a team full of athletic freaks but he stands out to me bc he has a really mature game. He is consistent, makes all of the right reads, all the right passes, and always plays his game (he's not out there trying to be the star, he understands his role).
He’s not consistent at all this is the first game against top competition that he’s had over 5pts n wasn’t a liability on defense he played great tonight I’m not hating on him at all I want him to do good but to call him consistent is not the truth at all
@@SilentHillH2H i get what you’re saying but even tho he doesn’t score much his unselfishness is what makes him consistent. he makes the right passes for others to score
This was probably the most satisfying game SC has played all year! Great game full of great plays made from both teams but it seems like the loss from last week really humbled a few ppl on the squad. They played like a team when they absolutely needed to. Had SC came in playing the way that they were before Glenbard would have had a field day. This was also a statement game for the Metoyer, Amari, and Bronny haters(a lot of which were at the game lol). Just satisfying when they have absolutely nothing to be delusional about. Good win gentlemen✊🏾
The difference in this game and others is that they came out thee gate playing hard respecting the other team. A couple of losses resulted from letting teams jump out to quick leads, and they played catch up the rest of the game.
@@richardwhatley6505 agreed! So many times over the season you could tell they were indulging in the SC fanfare name and brand and it showed in their play. I hope that’s not see their potential when they play the right way
as clutch as he's father yet to see him have a bad game on ESPN in fact he's always the best player on his team when they play the big dogs of the country on national TV
@@sleeve9097 Clearly have never watched GBW play. Huff will most definitely be a pro, he's 6'11 with handles and a jumper and has the PERFECT nba frame.
Glenbard west put me out of my senior year State regional championship in highschool 2007... John shurna had 32 pts, 16 reb, and 8 blocks... I’ll never forget he had tape on his shoes we thought he was a bum...
This is what Bronnys critics have been waiting to see because HE IS THAT DUDE. He has consistently been aggressive the past 3 games along with making the right decisions that he frequently does. 6:49 mark is an example of him putting pressure on the defense. Prior to 3 games ago, he was passing the ball to his teammate as soon as he crossed half and never touching the ball again. A few things I noticed this game. The team was actually seeking Bronny out to pass it to him (in the past, he rarely saw the ball twice in a series after passing). Thank god they didn’t press. This fundamentally sound team they played would have scorched them by 40 with the wild press they run. When Bronny is aggressive, whether he scores 18 or 8pts, the team fires on all cylinders.
@@gacoachtrainer9315 I’ve been critical on many of his games this season but I’m no idiot. I played D1 basketball, played PG, coached and recognize when a player has enormous potential and not taking advantage. Even with all these top tier players on SC I feel that Bronny is a top 3 player on the squad. Many games this season that didn’t show. He’s a great defender, shooter, passer, everything really. My biggest critique was him not being aggressive. My perception of him being passive may be different than most. Passing the ball as soon as you cross half is not a floor general. Teammates not being confident enough to get the ball back to you sucks. Passing up jumpers when you shoot a high percentage makes it look like your not confident in your self. He did this a lot in past games this season. He’s done a lot of good things this season as well just not as consistently. Just like I can give negative critiques (which I’m sure his critics aren’t doing) I can give positive ones. The last 3-4 games he’s been on. Consistently aggressive, putting his defenders in help positions and he’s making great decisions with the ball while being aggressive. Simple. When people know your potential, critiques arise. If you are trash, people don’t say anything
Them Chicago boys had jumpers on them but damn if Amari played like this vs everybody they’d be even better. This the most passing I seen him do since Cassius was there lmao.
Dylan Metoyer called the game. Amari played well. Bronny can definitely shoot the ball 🏀 6 Triples 🏀 He’s still having that jump shot 🔥They Better find Him on court 💯
*Bronny’s jumper is nice af. Better than a lot of kids in his class. Dude was shooting NBA 3s with ease in the Staples Center too. Being a good shooter and passer will get you very far in today’s NBA.*
@@bank80 if u watch the full game and not the highlights he passed majority of the game he only took 5 shots and was 4 of 5 y’all say anything on this app actually watch the full games
Yo that was one of the best HS games I've watched in a Loooong time. Bronny put on his BEST shooting performance IMO. I thought the other team was in trouble as soon as I saw their warmup pants 😂
I always liked number 2 bro he’s that player that might not show up in the stat sheet like everyone else but will definitely hustle grind play defense and score. Btw Bronny is a great young athlete I don’t understand why people hate on lil bro 🤦🏾♂️
Sierra Canyon is a basketball team that has a high school. Just a California all star team. Shout out all the public schools out there. Kids the legitimately grew up together and go to the dame high school because they're from the same town.
@@SilentHillH2H exactly and they recruited people all around cali. If you didn’t know calis one of the biggest states. Also their star player is from Chicago..
The losing team huddled as soon as the game was over. No one put their heads down. They know they’ll be playing at the end of the season. They’re a synced squad. Well done fellas. Both squads
@@kingmusa8618 sierra canyon is very star studded with guard talent. Various 4 and 5 star guys at the guard positions so it’s impressive nonetheless. And the idea of the point guard having to average the most assists is an outdated principal of stagnant offenses of the past. Modern day offenses, often times don’t have a single guard who is extremely ball dominant and leads the team in assists every game. Because that style of basketball makes an offense predictable and it doesn’t win. If you actually watch sierra canyon play, you’ll notice that they don’t really have a set guy who always handles the ball and You’ll notice how good of a playmaker amari is . So bronny still averaging more assists then him is impressive.
What a game from both! But...I hope for Braden Huff to be the man in the Gonzaga system in a couple of years like Drew Timme, and I hope he'd be a part of a national title winner in Gonzaga. He got it to be an All American in the collegiate level.
If they switched out of the zone for the last play after the timeout it would be in overtime. Opposing teams coach had all game to figure out how to get a wide open 3 and knew exactly what to run at the end of the game
