Corporate country music won't know what to do with such a free spirited, truly artistic soul. Meanwhile Bluegrass fans are thrilled to let her come and be her unique and wonderful self.
@@silvermediastudio I get where you're coming from.BUT she discovered thru the adventure the HISTORY of great music absorbed it all, and rose above "the meh".
I grew up with this girl. She is THE REAL DEAL. People are so washed out and used to perfectly packaged "artists", makes me sad for this generation. Thank God for all the Sierras' out there in the world contributing to culture & turning tears into triumph. Sierra is an artist in every sense of the word. You could say her work/life/career is a pure definition or example of what being an artist is. Those stumbles and bad/good relationships are the literal life experiences that feed art. She COULD and WOULD play a show to 2 people or 2,000 people the same & leave her heart on the stage as if her life depended on it. It truly doesn't get better than this. Anyone with a refined and pure palette for music would appreciate what she has to offer to culture in general. She's the real deal. Self made & self styled. What you see is what u get. Pure and unadulterated. That's why She's there and we're here gabbing away & commenting. 🎉 ✌️
At first I thought, man, this guy talks a lot. Then I realized that his sharing is a major reason this interview is so enlightening - it sets Sierra at ease, lays the groundwork for her to open up more and makes it a genuine conversation. That's much more revealing than a formal "interview." Anyhow, thanks for this.
@@AlanRobb1 Millenials and GenZ(ero) can't even put a coherent sentence together without mumbling SO Sit down, SHUT UP, and let those who CAN communicate DO IT! He warms her up. "THE Journey IS the DESTINATION".
I've been mesmerized by her music. So cool to see she's just as down to earth as her music. Just saw her live in Denver. 100% authentic country and beautiful!
I love this girls down to earth attitude. She didn’t get where she is easy but it’s definitely starting to pay off big time. I think she’s really got a pure voice and I love her songs.👍👍🇨🇦
I love how she talks about how you have to train your talent. People always talk about how “talented” somebody is. Yes, some are more gifted than others but like Sierra says, you have to work at it. Her musicianship, singing, songwriting is a culmination of years and years of practice.
u should be mayor , cuss thats the truest thing ive ever read on tube . it doesnt depend on your cleavage , or how big yur but is , or your hairdoo , or whos got the most bling , its who has worked Hard at it and achieved the best Talent . ********* HOW Do u get to play Carnegie Hall , Practice .Practice ,Practice ._*********** .
Sierra Ferrell is such a wonderful gift of honesty, talent and life. A unique mixture of Bohemian and Renaissance spirit in a simple Zen kind of way. Absolutely love this young woman and her music. Whispering Waltz is my favorite song on the new album.
I really enjoyed this entire interview. I just recently discovered Sierra and have been enjoying her singing and playing and it was great to hear her story.
She’s wise before her time… “ we want what we want, and when we get it we don’t want it anymore”…. I’ve found in my 63 years that remaining happy with what I get once I get it is the secret! When I stopped being consumed with the getting and became content with the having, THAT has been the path to my true personal growth as a human!
I really appreciate how candid, no bullshit, this interview is. Sierra is a treasure, glad she’s resonating and glad she hopped all those trains and lived the transient life. Paying your dues by busking, really shows once you hit the stage.
Ms. Sierra Ferrell seems like a wonderful free spirit, and her new album is seriously good! Dope to see a longer interview where people actually try to have a conversation. It's what we need from time to time in this world full of readymade soundbites and three minute clips. Much love from the Netherlands
Thank you for this great interview. Sierra downplays her guitar playing, but I think she has an amazing feel for it, and love watching her play. I’m 65 and adore her songs. She reminds me of girl pals I used to have back in the mid 1970s. She’s such a stoney, and look forward to many more years of supporting her.
There’s just something about Sierra that really reminds me of a modern day version of Janis Joplin! It’s not her musical style but more so just her overall style and the feel about her, she’s definitely a free spirit!
Not sure how you fell into my feed Ms. Ferrell, but you've got a new fan here. Wonderful voice and amazing stories told. Looking forward to seeing you live in person.
What they are talking about at 30:28 resonates. When I hear her sing, I wonder how she is not the most popular singer of today. She is so down to earth and no artifice at all. Can sing anything, a to z.
Excellent interview! Excellent interviewer who did his homework and was so well prepared. I've been a fan of Sierr Ferrell and am now a bigger fan. She's a most likeable gal, that same age as my daughter, and reminds a LOT of my stepdaughter. I just bought tickets for the April 17th show in KC. Well done!
Love this. Great to see a girl from back home WV doing great things. Love her sound and music. I’d wager my grandparents would too. Neat to see she’s very down to earth.
Never mind her story, her looks, her vioce and so on, but her guitarskills. Writing and going for those knucklebusting walks in those jazzy? licks live. I mean, the mind boggles
I just found her quite by accident on RU-vid and now my jaw hit the floor because I live in Cumberland, Maryland and here she is talking about stopping in Cumberland Maryland! What are the odds of that? She’s a great talent on the cusp of exploding into the big time!!!
This young person is a study in courage! I am so impressed with her attitude and fearless personality. And this interview was really well done so great job! Well worth the watch!
I love the new wave conscious outlaw country! Real music of artists that break the mold of the clean cut country artist. With actual depth and real soul! I think alot of the artist came out of Kentucky and west Virginia that bread people in hard times which is a recipe for good honest art. My favorite artis of any genre all had some serious struggle they went through!
johndavis chec out the blues with this bunch ,Hank sr ., George Jones , Johnny Cash , David A. Coe , Tammy Wynette , Loreta Lynn , Willie , Merl , Johnny Paycheck , jERRY Garcia , John Lennon . and they all ended up as legends .
YES YES YES YES! Stay the course Mike. Just as the likes of Sierra, Tyler Childers and Colter Wall rise right before our eyes, so will the popularity of TCC.
Thank You for interviewing Sierra, I try to live in her dimension for the joy of her vibe! The quality of person she has become is contagious through the osmosis of time spent with her presence 13/3D peace
Excellent interview, and while this is my first Converse Cowboy experience, I'd go so far as to say, an excellent philosophy. Perspective is everything.
@@TheConverseCowboy I found this interview at random and enjoyed it so much that I'm now a subscriber to your channel! Yay! She's such a sweet soul and free spirit. Very talented and multilayered. I think she's an old soul too. Thank you for asking all the right questions! Looking forward to catching up to your other interviews. 😊
Tuned in because I'm a Sierra Ferrell fan and am loving this deep conversation and relating to so much of it. It's all me, manifesting things I want by writing them down, meditation, morning routines, journaling (since I was 15 and still doing it!) And around 51:59, love this, when the host says "everything happens for you." That concept is called "pronoia" -- which is the opposite of paranoia. Pronoia is a beautiful truth. ....Anyway, the Sierra Ferrell album is awesome! Saw her perform live twice too, in 2019 and 2021.
Rob Brezney wrote a book called pronoia a couple decades ago. I believe he coined the phrase then if I am not mistaken. He was or is an astroligist. I hope I spelled his name correctly
awesome interview. the host is great, brought up some amazing topics and really flushed out a lot of commentary. sef is absolutely magnetic, that woman is a kind of magic all her own
was blessed this summer by an intimate show sierra played in callahan. sang like an angel and stepped off the stage to sing Irene with the crowd. rad to see the your talent taking care of you. wishin you serenity
I love everything about this interview. And it confirms my thought that I would honestly love to just hang out with her. Love her music. Excited to see her again next week!
I love that part of the meat of the conversation was about expanding your consciousness and mental health. That is humility. That is our work here on earth...you all have the platform to teach that, so keep going with realizing that intrusive thoughts are not you, and you are Consciousness itself. Alan Watts is amazing. Ram Dass is my favorite though! Thank you for an awesome time with Sierra!!
This was my first introduction to the Converse Cowboy. After this I immediately watched the interview with Vincent Neil Emerson. I really like how open minded and chill you are. Keep up the great work!
How am I just now finding this ? Great interview and what a great free spirit and that voice. Holy cow. Best of luck to Sierra and the great channel gang.
That was great! I'd been waiting for an interview with Sierra that really shows more of her. I came to the channel through a Vincent Niel Emerson worm hole a while back and have discovered a whole new world through it. Keep on Keeping on!!
Have been watching everything I can from this artist for the past few days. Such a genuine creative soul. This conversation with her has given me insight into her history and influences that would be near impossible to get anywhere else. Thanks
The CC is out here living my dream! That intro speaking of a growth mindset and a love for learning from people's personal experience is so descriptive of myself it's wild! Great job, man!
On UFOs I recommend Jaques Vallee's The Invisible College. They are from inner space of the Creator to raise our awareness. They can take any form. Once a dragonfly flew from across a river right up to my nose and on by. It was " unidentified".
I discovered Sierra Ferrals Music this summer 2021 and She is Absolutely the Real Deal to my Ears and it’s Great that she is now out there and making great music for great music’s sake and not to sell a bottle of perfume or some nonsense that most Mainstream Posers with no talent would do , She’s a Musical Breath of Long over due Fresh Air and long my it continue ⭐️🌞⭐️🌞⭐️
Why has this podcast not blown up?!? I hate the popular media, they know nothing. For example, how can this girl have 30,000 followers on tiktok and bella porch have 100 million. It makes NO sense.
