Due to the Ebola epidemic, the healthcare system of Sierra Leone’s capital Freetown is overloaded. Barely a government institution is still functioning, and private initiatives, too, are hitting their limits.

I would like to express my sincere condoleances to people who have lost many of their loved ones to this virus. I would like to tell them that they are not alone. We are here to help them. We will keep you in our prayers! We hope this situation will be overcome soon and population will be safe. God bless you!

I am really proud of the health officers in here. I can identify at least one that we personally helped through medical school. Today we are happy that we contributed to the fight against ebola

Beautiful country with beautiful people. Such a lovely accent too. These men and women are heroes for the work they did. Thank you. Glad Ebola is under control and I pray that it stays that way. 🙏🏽❤️

Ebola treatment facilities have to be built within the community or patients will not come to receive help hence the problem. It appears this will be a long fight.

All it takes is a little splash. Easy to get on you. It’s all over, on everything despite all the cleaning…people sitting in their diarrhea and vomitus. And look at all of the health workers in space suits who got it even though they were sprayed with chlorine before removing PPE. And knew the correct procedures for removing their PPE. Dr. Crozier was meticulous but got a large viral load and no idea how it happened.
