It isn't that simple in these countries. You think global nonprofits haven't thought of that in places like this and Africa? Water is a luxury in a lot of these places and they barely have enough to drink. Soil conditions are usually bad for farming and most local sources of water such as rivers and ponds are heavily polluted with hazardous chemical waste because illegal miners just flush the waste in the local ecosystem. Growing food with contaminated and very dangerous chemicals or human waste creates food unfit for human consumption. These poor countries have terrible waste management and human waste and factory waste are also dumped into local rivers and lakes as well as the ocean.

@@dontcare7086 it might be true for other African counties, But apparently you don't know about sierra leone. That country has one of greatest rainfall annually on the planet and enough arable land to provide for a population of 7 million. The problem is with government management lack of attention on agriculture
