Good stuff. But my question is, why everytime in real fight, Wing Chun guys never, never, never apply all those technic that show in hundreds of the WC video? Because the enemy are not dumb, they move around. Or the WC guys is not good enough?
Probably because most of wing Chun is absolute rubbish.This is not a fault of wing Chun it is just a fault of teaching, and teaching applied techniques that actually don't work. And the footwork of most but not all wing Chun is absolute rubbish. There are probably very few people who do wing Chun in the world who would be able to apply the techniques as you said in real time, live conditions, resisting opponent who's actually trying to hurt you.
Most Wing Chun is taught badly, or very badly. There should be no techniques in a good practitioner, just a set of reflexive responses. You also don’t wait to be hit, you can tell most of the time when someone is going to hit you (half turning away, threatening positioning) so it frequently makes sense to hit first. The idea of ‘if someone does exactly X what is the response?’ is nonsense outside of sport. Your ‘they move around’ point is also telling. There should be a closing and then sticking to the opponent: WC is an infighting system, so bridging the gap is vital as ‘bigger’ forms will use to space to launch a kick, jab, rugby tackle, etc,
