I love how this game represents the philosophy of real martial arts. You get your ass beaten until you open your eyes and notice the patterns. More skill, precision, speed, muscle memory, insight and ofcourse, years and years of experience.
@@cheezed6897 parrying is the result of deflecting. deflecting happens when there's a white vfx when you block an attack at the right time. when deflecting certain attacks, it can result in a parry. edit: when deflecting/parrying, your structure will never break. it isn't the same for blocks.
I feel like Sean had the best fight, purely because it was incredible hard the first couple of times but once it clicked I destroyed him and that felt amazing
@@maksudshtrudel1089 His fight was the easiest for me to be honest. First attempt I got there at like my 60s. Redid the the squats, got out at around 25, then beat Sean at 38 on my second attempt
8:30 this was the first track that immediately stood out to me in the first few seconds of the first level and oh my god it set the best tone for the unexoected
Howie Lee's soundtrack or should I say Arts for this particular game is just amazing. It's so old school yet there is a hint of modern and rogue-ish feeling to it. As if he just mix the two concept of traditional and modern together and it just fits for the imagination of fighting someone. I don't know how to even start to praise this soundtrack. Even praising it with ordinary praising will be such an understatement.
> Be me > A bouncer > I was bored out of my mind telling everyone who comes at the doors that there is an exclusive event going on today > I start hear some badass sounding music getting louder > Suddenly an old man, looks like in his 70s walks up to me > I wondered if he made a wrong turn or even knew where he was > Told him to beat it, it’s an exclusive event today > Next thing knew, I was on the floor > I went into the club trying to find out what happen > The guy working the front was shivering in the corner > Said some old guy walked in and beat the crap out of the guards > I than noticed the guards on the floor > I decided to walk in the club scared of what I might see > I found the whole dance floor was littered with bodies > I than ran out of their > I didn’t want to run the risk of running into that old man
@@juicer3344 I’m always fashionable late to a party my dude! Also maybe they did beat it already or not. Does not change the fact the game is almost literally Ninja Gaiden 2 hard
@@CaliConnelly314 They definitely didn’t beat it by then. The average person won’t beat it in 2 days so I agree with you! If they don’t know the mechanics then there’s no way
this game is amazing, the smooth combat, the amazing boss fights, the music and the gorgeous environments also, wondering if you can make a video showcasing Sifu's homebase after everythings been unlocked.
22:23 37:09 these two totally stuck with me the most, first one because even though club levels are so overplayed, ill love em every time, and every single time i replayed that level that song kicking in right as it gets good never got old. Second because the transition into phase 2 is so sick
I can't stop playing this game from the beginning just because I love the music so much. The rest of it is great, but it's why I keep coming back. But I finally got through the first level at 20, so that's something. GOTY so far for me.
8:03 does this track and the first boss theme make anyone else get extremely aggressive and crave beating the living hell out of everything in eyesight? Or is that me being an actual nut job?...
I had the honour of DJing next to the composer Howie Lee the back in the early 2010s in a dingy underground Beijing nightclub. I have to say the creators of this game NAILED the vibe on level 2
Digital soundtrack purchase means the dude who made the music gets paid, instead of the person who re-uploaded it here. You did the right thing in the end
Beaten the game at age 41, now I'm just messing sround with mods such as the 'randomizer' and the set up literally gives me the hardest types of opponents in the game in each area, I love it...
Fun fact: The style of the protagonist is Pak Mei and is a south style martial art (South focuses more on hands like Wing Chun while north focuses more on leg work and kicks).
finally a good game in 2-3 years. what a disaster gaming industry has become. good game, wish it was longer and had more to it than fighting and detective work. overall was really good, refreshing. felt as if i was sick with disease for years, and this game made me feel a little better.
@@tk7806 agreed, and open world too. Something along the lines of Yakuza + GTA + Max Payne + Shenmue + Sifu + Sleeping Dogs. Maybe I'm asking too much xD
I had the pleasure of DJing alongside Howie Lee back in an old Beijing club called Lantern around 10 years ago. The club level in Sifu nails the feel of an underground Beijing club so well (much friendlier crowd in the real Beijing club though!) Here's an old video of the club night ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6Piwl8E5kRE.html
I have the deluxe edition of Sifu to receive early access of the game, soundtrack, and artbook. Unfortunately, the soundtrack isn't working on my PS5 and can't find it on Spotify. Any suggestions I can do next?
