I've shot Glocks my whole life, explored the Sig world, loved the 320's and P365 XL's. The spectre comp variant is the flattest, best shooting small gun I've ever shot. You guys might think differently, but for me it is night and day. To each their own, but I trust my life to my mine just as much as my Glock 19. I respect your opinion but my experience with the pistol was jaw dropping.
Literally the only 2 people on the internet saying it has 0 affect. I have both and there is definitely a noticeable difference… I don’t know what the hell you guys are smoking 😂😂😂
Yall 2 are hard on my heart because I ADORE my old P320 and Sig gets little love from ya, but the honesty and thoroughness are so great. Please never change. The gun community needs this kind of content where its always rooted in honesty and experience. Plus no other channel pumps me up to go shoot like 1911 syndicate. Carry on my guys!
At 8:22, seeing both shot side by side, the comp has considerable less muzzle rise. I can’t measure it but I would say 40-50% less. Also, please keep in mind that for most people over age 30, whether you spend $600 or $1,200 it doesn’t keep them from going out to eat or filling up their gas tank. If it does, either you chose the wrong career or you are never listened to your parents about living within your means. Cheers! P.S. I don’t own the comp nor a Sig.
Have a OG P365 and a XL. Priced out comped slides. The spector comp slide was the best value so added one. I noticed a difference side by side. Got the bronze/tan one so I'm extra cool too. I agree the complete pistol is a money grab. The slide if you price out components isn't a bad deal.
These 2 ladies have a gun u-tube site.( help me out) They put the guns in a ransom rest or one of some sort and measure the degree of muzzle rise. Found it very interesting.
I appreciate the honesty. The loyalty over integrity boys act like this is the best gun that's ever been made, and shooting it and staring at the camera with their mouths open etc. Would trust y'all over them.
Great unbiased review. It drives me crazy to see all the other RU-vid channels saying this gun is the “GOAT” when they have only shot one mag through the gun. We’re spoiled in 2022 to have so many gun channels, but so few gun evaluators who will be honest about their evaluation on the gun. Good job guys!
You do have to be mindful of who the channel is affiliated with too. Like some of these sig 365 videos where they are partnered with PMM or Icarus precision.
Almost fell for a great marketing campaign (aka cash grab), thanks to my local gun store I opted for a regular 365xl. Thank you guys for your honesty, you just saved a bunch of people $600 plus.
I have, and love, my 365 XL, my wife has decided she must have it, I thought I might use this opportunity to get the spectre comp for myself! I came here to see if I should, THANK YOU for this review!! In all seriousness, this was EXACTLY what I was looking for from you! Keep up the GREAT work.
Love the honesty about this gun. Much respect. Love both of my sigs. Both of you are able to shoot really high end guns and know the difference if we are getting fleeced or not. Which is really helpful if you think about it.
Thanks for saving me some cash! I have the 365, 365X, 365XL and the 365X is my favorite. Have a Holosun 507K and I just like the shorter barrel, longer grip type guns. It's the best carry gun ever- TRUTH!!! 😀
I have never been a sig fan I don't know why I carry a CZ for my EDC but that's why i like this channel honesty growing up in the hood taught me the vaule of honesty that's why I fuck with yall I train hard with my firearm and love my 2A family yall boys stay up
Same! I have the hellcat rdp also, which is a great gun and a great carry but if you have the chance to put both in hand it’s no contest. The ergonomics of the Spectre comp the trigger and the less recoil make it on a different lvl than the rdp. You know it as soon as it hits your hand that’s it’s something special
@@DouglasRoys when I was trying out different carry tools the Glock 43x l, hellcat and the 365xl. I knew as soon as I held it and I shot it way better it was the last one I shot at the rang in my quest to find my carry tool. I own both the Spectre and Spector comp I originally bought the Spector. And then the Spectre comp came out and I gave it a try and after I shit it i out a order in for one. Not fan of the gold barrel it’s finish is not the best.
@@hurt1704 you do realize that I was comparing it to the also compensated out the box hellcat rdp which I also own and is kinda made to compare with the Spectre comp.
Hello - Sig Nutrider here.... I have to say, you guys have the best fucking reviews! Good on you for the real reviews! Love the honesty and calling out the BS! Keep up the videos!
Thanks for the reality check for a lot of viewers. I have literally quit watching a bunch of former special forces guys channels and other PewTubers channels because it was clear that Sig was paying them a lot of cash to push their guns. When guys go from carrying Glocks for 20 years and saying it's the gun they trust to saying they are crap and Sig is the one you know something's up. Sig makes a good gun but honesty and transparency should always be first and foremost for the viewers.. Thanks again for the truth..
The original one feeling flatter probably comes from increase in noise and concussion (although very very mild) from the comp. I’ve used brakes that technically made a rifle softer but the increase in concussion negating the benefits
It has been hard to know what to believe when it comes to this gun. So many mixed reviews. Especially the one review you mentioned made me wonder if it really was that good. Thanks for the honesty. I’ll stick with my regular XL.
I appreciate your no bullshit attitude guy's. I just recently traded my 365 for an 365xl. I can feel the difference between those two. XL is flatter shooting and has a better grip module, I think. Sig tells me they're coming out with the xmacro grip module separately, by the way. Let's say the 365 specter comp does reduce recoil by 30%. For me, it still would not be worth $1200.00 is it a money grab by sig ? Yes, seems so. On the other hand I own a p320xc and it costs around $600.00 . In my opinion this is one of the best values on the market. You get great night sights, optics ready slide, very ergonomic and well stippled grip, and good flat trigger, stainless steel slide , and a great warranty and customer service. Oh and it's totally modular. So I think sig has offered outstanding value and performance. So they also have some Gucci offerings for people who enjoy that, great ! it's never too late for a happy childhood.
The most honest review I have seen on Sig guns in a long time. I feel like everyone is on Sigs pay at the moment, even the people I really respect in the field. I mean they can get their money, but being disingenuous about a life preserving tool is really sad to me.
Agreed, for those who want the no-frills Sig Sauer's, it's affordable. Personally, I am an older Sig customer who likes all the bells and whistles & willing to splurge $1,200.
It absolutely does reduce muzzle flip. But what you don't realize and clearly these guys don't realize is the follow-up speed it produces. Shooting one shot, pausing, and waiting to fire again, you won't notice it. But shooting with speed, yes, it absolutely will reduce muzzle flip.
I heard Sig is coming out with TIN coated butt plug in an assortment of different sizes. Standard for the shy guys, X for those on the fence(post), and XL for the experienced machismo metro. Better yet they are approved by GBRS🤘
This is why I watch you guys and do what I do, for honesty. You can tell the videos that have a giant SIG logo in the beginning that are bought and paid for by them. Hey, they got their 💰. I’m just not about lying to people to get them to buy shit. Thanks for always being real.
@@1911syndicate 100% I agree. There are a lot of people that will take everyone at their word and not realize the transitions happening in the background. Sig puts out some amazing stuff. And like every other company, some subpar stuff as well. Everyone should research as much as they can before purchasing a firearm. Watch reviews, read about it, and rent the firearm at your local gun range. Then make a logical decision based upon those informed conclusions. Thanks again and keep the good content coming. You give us little RU-vid channels goals to strive for. Also, I’m looking for a free Glock if you know where I can collect 😆
I’ve got a spectre without the comp. I literally just swapped out the grip because the one that comes with it tears up all my shirts even after sanding it down some. I essentially just paid for the milling, which is fine. Also, personally I prefer the hooked trigger. Finally a complaint on both my 365’s and the 320 that I sold, they can’t shoot steel ammo without ruining the extractor in less than 1000 rounds. I’ve replaced the extractor on all three and don’t shoot it anymore out of these specific guns. My 226 has no issues with any type of ammo at all.
Well done! I won't claim that Sig is a one hit wonder, but I only listen to my P229, and it is very good. Oh, I really did think I won that Glock, but I didn't call you because it's a Glock...
Yep, saw some former Green Berets and SEALs gushing. Some money has been changing hands. They gush over all things Sig. Even saw the one guy going out of his way to bash Beretta locking blocks for good measure.
When the whole community is being paid the big bucks to praise this gun you know something’s wrong. Which is why I always watch you guys. Y’all aren’t shills. Much love.
Everybody in the comments it’s saying the recoil is no different from a normal p365 Xl but their not keeping in mind the original p365 Xl has a 3.8” inch barrel where this Sig P365 spectre comp Xl only has a barrel of 3.1” inches so in actuality the compensator slide does help with a shorter barrel I also own a hellcat pro with a 3.8” inch barrel and I can say the sig P365 rose XL(same as the spectre comp 365) shoots flatter or just as flat with more than a half inch shorter barrel
😂😂 We all know who they're talking shit about. Special Ops that are on Sig Payroll? Mike Glover & GBRS comes to mind. Having said all that, I have both the Spectre Comp & the P365xl and on SOME Ammo, you can definitely feel the differences in recoil. So much so that I sold my P365xl and is shopping for another Spectre Comp.
Shot both guns... definitely a different feel. The comp is a flatter shooting gun. It also feels different. The grip texture is better. My issue with both these guns is the size. They are tiny for my hands. I have huge hands. Long slim hands. I own a p320 xcarry spectre. This is my edc. Wouldn't switch to either of these. But both are nice guns. Side note i also carried a hkvp9sk with the largest back and side grip panels. So size matters.
Sig won't stop until they have sponsored every former SOF dude much like black rifle coffee. After reading through Jack Carr's Terminal List series I am a sig expert because it is product placement like every other page lol
Yeah let's cash in on our audience during a recession and convince them to pay double for a gun that's slightly improved but mostly the same. Thanks for your guys honesty. You've earned a sub.
You fellas are hilarious. Great review. I appreciate your frank, straightforward presentation with a sprinkling of dark humor. I bought a 365 Spectre (however they spell it) before the comp came out. Gold barrel and trigger. Those looked like cheap Chinese 'gold' necklaces after 30 days. Swapped them to a regular 365XL because I do like the frame a lot, and the X cut slide is pretty cool. I've swapped the factory barrel for a Griffin with a mini comp that came with the barrel (
Honestly guys, I only started carrying last year, and I hadn't touched a gun in about 15 years before that. I watched a TON of reviews, and after a while I began to see who was being paid to say absolute BS and who wasn't, mostly because of what you mentioned. One mag shot and they're like "WOW, THIS GUN IS SO GREAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT, *Insert Rick Flair Whoo*.' It was ridiculous. That being said, I have found that you, and Honest Outlaw are the most unbiased reviewers out there, and I trust you implicitly. I went and shot the Walther PDP, which you guys liked, and I liked for the same reasons you did. I shot a friend's Mark 23, again, what you guys liked and disliked, I was right there with you. You're honest about how you feel and while that might hurt my fanboy tendencies sometimes, it's fair. I appreciate you calling out marketing BS, because as a consumer, I don't want to be taken for a ride. I want quality, and attempts to cover up imperfections and twist them to 'new features' pisses me off, because it's insulting. So keep doing what you're doing, and I appreciate what you're putting out there.
PAN-O-RAMIC Intro! And would you just go ahead and list your cell Jake!!? I’ve won THREE TIMES and never received squat I love the P365 for carry with Summer/light clothing. I have 2 P365X’s that I’ve installed optics & PMM barrels/comps. The true expansion chamber comps DO function at reducing “muzzle hop” and helps with quicker shot to shot with +P defense ammo. I’ve shot a buddies Spectre Comp and it was not as controllable, compared to the true, compensated barrel pistols. You are absolutely correct; the “Spectre Comp” is smoke and mirrors in my experience. Fun vid as always!
It clearly is debatable because most reviewers, including myself, think the comp version offers a noticeable difference. And I don't even own the comp model (I'm a glock guy). It definitely shines on rapid fire.
I agree. I own/carry Sigs and follow some of the channels I’m sure you’re referring too. I laughed when Mike Glover was handed one by GBRS and got loony toons hearts in his eyes after 3 shots. But a lot of their fan boys have a meltdown if you dare criticize anyone from special forces. You know cause they are the only ones that could possibly know anything about guns.
Keep in mind, yes Sig is cashing in, but there is a valid legit market for gun customization and one will spend as much or more customizing there 365XL to look and shoot the way the Spectre Comp looks and shoots straight out of the box. That is why I got my 365 SC and I still love my regular XL too. I did not want to modify my EDC but Sig did it for me and I love the way it looks and shoots. Is it flatter?? A tiny bit, is it $1200 flatter?? NO but that's not why I got mine. BTW I hate my gold trigger and barrel, would love to have it in all black....
Hey Josh, I was looking at getting the Macro but the gas looked like it would be right in my view from the videos I saw. It also looks much louder so I just wanted to see if the spectre comp is a lot louder too.
@@awesomedave8484 The gasses just don't light up things they way you'd think. I don't even see any gasses when I'm shooting my XL CS cause it happens so fast. Also far as it being louder I cannot tell a difference but I'm sure with a decibel reader it might register a bit louder, but unless your ears are highly trained you just can't tell the difference. that's just my 0.02 though.
Good old distinction between 1st and 2nd cool. Rock on, dudes. Personally, I never liked the size of the grip for the 365; it's so small. Yes, I'm sure I could get used to it, but whatever. I like my grips a bit thiccer. That's right, that was with two C's.
I have a 365 and a 365xl also. I started to pick one up but aside from looks it didn’t seem worth $1200. I think going the PMM route would give much better performance. I was on the fence but when I handled it and realized the trigger wasn’t a significant improvement if any at all that turned me off from purchasing one.
Fuuuuuuuck. If you have an intense schedule for filming that means you absolutely can’t take time off for some reason, PLEASE rely on the other guy who ISN’T constantly coughing and sniffing to talk more. It was unbelievably hard to sit through. But Thank you for the honest feedback on the Spectre Comp. There are too many shills out there these days.
I’ve been carrying a 43 since they were first released, so much that my crossbreed holster hardware has rusted and finally fallen apart. I’ve been considering replacing it with this sig or the shadow systems micro. I know my next carry will be optics ready. I’ve got a 365 bit still lean to the 43 every day. Every bit of info helps, thanks for the honest review fellas! “Because your honor, I’ve got a yorkie”
Yep, I’m a nut rider on this one. Pick one up about a month ago. The main reason I like the way it looked. But I totally agree, I don’t really see that much of a difference between my other P365 and the comp versions. Keep up the great videos!
