WHY do reviewers take the pistol straight from the box and then wonder about failures? Some guns leave the factory dripping oil while others are bone dry. Unless you intend to carry the pistol straight from the box, it proves nothing. Clean and lubricate the gun as you normally would and then evaluate it's performance.
The gun was taken apart - it was lubed from the factory. The oil on the optic should be an indicator that it wasn’t dry. There honestly isn’t a single excuse for why the gun wouldn’t return to battery.
@@averagemarksman At 1:10 you say that you didn't clean it and took it straight from the box. Fiocchi cartridges are known to be weaker than other brands. How did other brands perform? Also, is the Fuse rated for NATO cartridges? If so, some 115 grain factory loads are too light. Try a different brand of 124 grain cartridges.
Some of the Macro mags may need to be downloaded 1 round for a dozen cycles or so. Macro mags have magical capacity, but can be pretty tight on that top round. 124gr. with some spunk might help.
Thanks for the honest review brother. I picked up a Fuse today, picking up Friday. Colorado law doesn’t allow for any magazines over 15 rounds. Hoping the failure to feed issue is down to the spring tension in 21 rnd mags. Will probably only have 10-12 rnd mags here.
Checked into the 21rd mags with SIG, from three Sig employees and one manager - the mags are on 6 month delay and they only have enough for the guns released. Just a heads up before you buy or try hunting down the mags.
Awesome! Loved this video. I have seen from a few different people a FTF with the new 21 rounds mags. Seems to break in though after the spring loosens
Max, thanks for watching. I never purchased the P365 Legion. Although it has a metal grip it’s the same slide as the X Macro Comp and I just couldn’t see a reason to make the purchase. I think the longer barrel and slide make this gun shoot a bit flatter than the X Macro Comp did. The Legion is only four more ounces than the X Macro Comp and three ounces heavier than the Fuse. I’d say they all pretty much recoil the same way - the extra barrel length (3.1 - 4.3”) did make a difference in how well dot tracked though.
@@averagemarksman thanks man :) and I know it’s not all about recoil but I do want it manageable where I can shoot all day and not ate it lol I have the xmacro and 365 legion right now. And the legion definitely shoots flatter because the lower is heavier. So my dream would be to slap the bottom frame on the 4.3 inch barrel and have a longer barrel ‘kinda’ full size type gun I can carry sometimes
I just picked this gun up, had 8 failures to feed. I called Sig and they suggested 2 break in period of about 150-200 rounds and make sure the gun is lubed. We'll see...
More than likely the mags are causing the issue but a little lube wouldn't hurt. I don't load the mags to full capacity until i break them in. My XMacro tacops mags were the same way. Actually i couldn't get the 17th round in until i broke them in.
I had the same issue with the X Macro Comp on the 17 round mags but it never caused failures to return to battery - just was hard to rack on a full magazine. These mags load easier than those did though. It’s cleaned and lubed up now.
I've taken guns straight out of the box and shot them and never had that many problems... maybe one failure to feed with a brand new gun but my friend just picked one up and it's probably the worst out of the box pistol I've come across. Took a bunch of mags before it started to run "right" and even then with the trigger and everything it's horrible. SIG needed some more R&D with this and QC but it could just be this first batch. Like you said when it shoots, it shoots good, but it's definitely WHEN it shoots sadly. I wanted to love this pistol and maybe even get one but not a chance
@@averagemarksman good, I’m gonna put out one next week on the HC Pro comp next week! I hope it goes smooth as the last 4 mags you went through. I was gonna get that unit but I already have the Xmacro and the 320 AXG. So I’m probably gonna go ahead and grab the P229 to complete my 3 from Sig.
I just had the same issue with my new 365 fuse. I didn’t get to put too many rounds down range but I do hope that it’s just a break in issue. I don’t believe it’s the mags, I say this because I used the same mags in my macro and it ran with no issues.
I don’t think it was magazine related either at this point. I haven’t had a failure to feed issue following the first 100 rounds. My optic did come loose yesterday at 300 rounds though.
@@averagemarksman I did just over 100 rounds with the same issue, last night I cleaned and lubed it. Went out to the range today and ran 224 rounds both fmj and defense with no issues. Mine did not come with the red dot.
Every reputable gun manufacturer recommends a 200 round or so break-in period. Even GLOCK. A brand new car motor requires a break in. Hell you damn shoes need to be broken in. Or in the case of machinery worn in.
@@averagemarksman I'm not saying you. but I see a lot of reviews talking down on Caniks,Cz& Taurus.. is Sig has a issue everyone ignores it. And they are way more expensive those brands
