LRF binoculars tend to be optically less efficient in the dusk because of the integrated laser system. Sig Sauer tries to solve this problem with SpectraCoat™ anti-reflection which improves the light transmission rate and optical clarity.

Hi, how do these compare glass quality wise to the Kahles Helia RF? I'm torn between the two for glassing and hunting purposes.

Have you made a review on the SIG SAUER BDX rifle scopes? For example the sierra3bdx 2.5-8 ?

So would you compare them to the Meopta LRF that is about $1,500? The most important thing in my mind is the clarity of the glass. If you're out in the field glassing all day, looking for deer or other, do your eyes get tired? That's the bottom line.

How does this compare with Vortex Fury HD 5000?

The ranging capability is the same and so is the swiftness of the Scan mode. KILO3000BDX, however, can be paired with a smartphone app, has a ballistic calculator (it will provide the amount of MOA/MIL needed for Point of impact adjustment based on the caliber data) and operates on the BDX system (you can pair it with a BDX riflescope). Vortex Fury HD 5000 lacks all these features but comes at a little bit lower price.

Optics Trade how’s the glass quality compared between the fury 2 and kilo3000? I love how the kilo has the bdx and ability to connect to kestrel. That’s a big deal breaker for me.

@@hmoobshow2482 @Optics Trade This is my question as well. How's the image and low-light capability compare between these and the Fury HD 5000?

Externally KIlo 3000 looks better than the Fury 5000, but the Vortex is more comfortable for hand in practical conditions. Fury rangefinder is a little faster than a Kilo. SIG has the BDX function but version Fury 5000 AB is better in this respect ... and more expensive. Fury glasse work better in low light. Disadvantage of the Kilo 3000, compared to the Fury 5000, is the lack of protective covers in the kit and not very convenient storage bag.

Other than cost why would anyone choose these over a leica geovid? If you can range 2000 meters that's further than anyone can seriously shoot by a lot anyways. Not calling in air strikes guys lol. Leica and the zeiss have way better glass. Just look for a used one on ebay. They will still likely be $500 more even used but seriously you'll have a much more reliable rangefinder and premium binos too.

When Leica's LRF binoculars have Bluetooth communication to a SiG BDX binocular I'll get them instead. I hunt with a 6.5 PRC Browning X-Bolt Pro in Nevada where distances can be long, say out to 1,000 meters for antelope, 800 metes for deer and 500 meters for bull elk, staying within the cartridges' energy for a clean kill on those animals at the distances mentioned. I want a firing solution that considers angle, temperature, air pressure/altitude, bullet BC and CD and muzzle velocity of the rifle I'm using for an accurate trajectory. I have a Magnetospeed V3 chronometer so I'll know my average muzzle velocity for a given ammunition.

You realize the BDX system does just that? Just need a BDX scope.
