You have roughly $8k worth of Sigs on your counter, and your wife won't let you talk about the price of the X5???? I'm kind of envious, that's a really nice collection of premium pistols. BTW the X5 goes for $2k+.
Just one guys opinion here, but I have had both and I really think it comes down to what you want to use it for. The xfive legion is noticeably heavier, longer and just fun to shoot. I think the balance is terrific. But for several hundred dollars less the 226 legion sao is just about as good and in some ways better. Great trigger, good handling gun that is versatile, could carry it, shoot it for fun, home defense, it’s good to go all around. Really like both, just one last gun type purchase I would lean 226 legion sao, unless you have lots of other guns and just want a super cool fun shooter and price tag is not a worry, than the xfive legion is hard to beat! Good luck!
Would you consider all the points of adjustability a liability when it comes to using the xfive legion for anything serious? Im considering getting one but when I saw the trigger is held on by 1 screw it made me unsure
You bring up an interesting point that I didn’t think about. Sort of the reason I still like some Glocks, less parts, less failure points. My P226 xfive legion has been 100% reliable, absolutely no failures of any kind so far. That being said and with no evidence to back this up, the 226 xfive legion just feels more like a fun gun to me. For more serious, robust usage I trust other p226 models more. Not sure if that is correct thinking or not, but if introduced to elements, sand , water, mud, snow or whatever, the trigger mechanism does seem like a possible weak point. Hope someone really puts one of these through its paces, would be interesting to see the outcome. Off topic, but the DA/SA pistol that I really like and fully trust to handle anything flawlessly is the HK USP Expert. Have had one for years and I can’t cause a malfunction in that one if I wanted to. Good luck, thanks for the comment!
