My EDC is the Legion 226. I hated the flush slide release. Easy fix. I ordered the standard, extended release for like 30 bucks. It fits the 226 and 229. I also the ordered the 18 round mag for it. In my 226, it fits flush (but on the 229 it will stick out just a tiny bit). I had both 226 and 229 Legions. Sold the 229 and stayed with the 226. I just prefer the bigger gun.
Good video, would’ve like to see trigger comparison more in depth though. Only comparison was double action pull. The legion in single action and it’s reset is where it really shines.
New viewer here....I enjoy your take on subjects. Yes...green is the color. I have played with different colors 30 plus years ago. Mixed up different shades, the green we see most seems to work great and when in a tritium and or fiber optics is great. Do keep up the great work, it is refreshing to see honest personal opinions.
My stock p229 cost me 750 after tax and I'm going do the same sight and trigger job. Dont prefer legion slides or beaver frames so this video is just what I needed lol
I recently picked up a Springfield XDM .45 and I gotta say I love it! I will hopefully soon make some changes and add-ons. Sights, laser point, change grip and maybe some more. Carries a 10 round mag! I’d like to try this SIG 229 he has. Great video sir!
New viewer here. I'm a P229 Legion owner and I have to say the double action trigger is nothing really special but the single action and reset is butter. I noticed you didn't mention the SA trigger pull and was curious what you think? I can say from experience with the Legion that it is a tac driver in SA at 25 yards.
The slide release being flush is not a detractor as it is taught in tactical or defensive shooting that you should not use slide release. Better to rack slide to get positive chambering of round. But I really like your reviews and comments as I do not own any sig pistols yet and looking for one.
Been caring p938 past year. Swich it up from my shield I've been caring sent it came out. But had bike accented in summer and got broken leg. But I had that Sig on me and it when flying off me when I when rolling down the street. The guns got a couple dings and scratches on slide and frame. And I had to replace the wood grips that where shared off. but still works lol. Thought about calling Sig just to see about upgrades like a tighter lock on barrel myself to see if it'll make a different. And get it refinish with new coat over it.
Hey, I got to your channel through some heavy late night browsing :-) been some time and it's good to see you good and back on. Do you handle any Taurus 24/7 pro? They made some trigger lock like Glock, can you tell me if it's any good?
@Personal Defense and Firearm Education, I almost bought that S&W PC 1911 as my first .45 pistol. Would you consider selling it? I would offer trade but I plan to keep the guns that I own until the end of my days. I'm picky about the guns that I purchase. And, how is the barrel finish holding up?
Would like to ask you something about my glock 19 gen 4. With the sights and aiming down. I can’t seem to line up the front sight correctly level with rear sight. When I do the front sight dot is cut away alittle bit at the bottom. Is that how it’s suppose to be or should I be able to see the whole dot when front sight top is level with rear sights?
