@@makevelicustoms This can't be understated. RU-vid is a sales and marketing platform. People with lots of subs have either built their brand on entertainment or selling something. Many times those go hand-in-hand. I know there are exceptions to this, but if your brand is spitting facts, the huddled masses are less likely to subscribe in huge numbers.
A lot of reviewers are bitching about ammo and aren't shooting hardly any. Not Aaron. He just says fuckit and dumps 500 rounds because that's who he is and that's what he does. And then he drops this thing four fuckin times. This dude is a fuckin LEGEND!
It's nice to see Sig optics finally coming up into the market, I was not a fan of early offerings. Side note, a video on UTM products would be nice to see, I'd like to start practicing in my garage with them but I have no idea (aside from something nonmarking) which would fit best.
Totally dig your style, you tear it up weekly. Thank you for sharing and demonstrating all the different parts and systems and not being bought. Stay safe sir, again thanks for all the knowledge and sharing your reviews. Helps us less fortunate to make a better informed decision.
I love the fact that you don't edit out your slight hiccups when talking....shows your just a regular dude who makes videos on RU-vid giving great useful info
I picked up a Tango6T with the horseshoe reticle about two years ago to replace my EoTech VUDU that I was using for 3-gun. I ended up loving it so much I went out and bought anothet one for my "fighting rifle". Reticle is plenty bright in 1 power, i can make consistent hits at 400 under match conditions, eye relief is forgiving, and its been durable enough I have no worries about chucking my rifle in a dump box. 100% agree with you on this review
Agree with the OD Green option. I'm baffled most companies don't offer ODG Anodized or cerakoted versions. The new Eotech ODG line is a good start though. The Sig Tango 6T seems legit. Great overview as always AC. 👍
Mil-spec is weird. You can sneeze in its general direction and it breaks, or you can yeet it off the side of a mountain and not even scratch the paint. Not a whole lot of in between.
The Mil-Std technical data and requirements are very misunderstood. The arctic conditions and sand/dust/humidity/heat tests are extremely difficult to meet. Most manufacturers are unaware of them and don’t care, as long as they continue to sell look-alike imitations to the public and LE with the best margins to be able to stay in business. All of it is easier said than done, including the low end business model.
My ass puckered on the drop test even though I have never liked or been impressed by SIG optics. This may well change my mind. Good job SIG. Finally something that deserves serious consideration. I would like to see 1-8 as an option.
I looked through one of the Tango 6 scopes a week or so ago. And damn it was crispy. The store had a Razor 1-6 as well so I was able to do a direct comparison. The clarity on the two was equal as far as I could tell. The only real difference is 1st focal plane vs 2nd and the Razor body just melts away. The sig wasn’t bad though.
I want to thank you for your videos. You took my Pistol Red Dot shooting to the next level and extremely fast and natural. And am also doing my first suppressor build on my 11.5 , 5.56 and appreciate your video on the BootLeg Adjusting BCG...put it that in it along with a Radian Raptor SD. Just waiting for my tax stamp to clear
I lucked out and bought the 2 Gen Tango 6T, German reticle and grayish/blue color, in May of 2019...around the same time the Army named the Tango 6T as their contract winner. Lucky because it was +/- $750.00 and at the time I felt (and still do) that it was comparable to the Vortex 1-6 Razor E. Build quality, glass, turrets, throw lever, same as Army version. Just different color and reticle. Glad you drop tested it so I don't have to.
Not to nitpick but generally “assembled in the USA” means that the parts are made overseas. I know the Japanese make great components some other countries don’t have great quality control though. Looks like a good LPVO though. Keep up the awesome work! Love the videos!
Many of them indeed used to come from China. These new ones may not tho. I had a Romeo 5 with Chinese written underneath the body where it meets the mount, which appears to be QC mark. I doubt they do that in US factory
@@KJV1611AV it’s impossible to compete with the low labor cost in China. The international bankers ensured that with the trade agreements they made their puppet politicians sign
Thumbs up simply for the Iroh T Shirt I'll bet you miss those PWS uppers when suppressing! I have tons of experience with all types of rifles and the PWS is an impressive beast. Along with LWRC and POF they are incredible external piston rifles esp for suppressed shooting. Certain DI guns built specifically for suppressing (correctly ported barrels and buffer system) work well but again, it seems that the external piston is better to suppress with standard baffle style cans. With newer tech cans there is mo reason to go piston over DI (OSS, Acadian pantera, larue etc)
By far the best review of this optic I've seen. I was debating between the SFP or FFP versions of this optic. My concern was the 1x performance of the FFP version, but your review may have steered me towards the FFP DWLR6. Thanks for your hard work.
Late, but the dvo reticle is in fact different than the reticle you have in that optic. Same lwr6 concept just pulled in a bit for 5.56. The dwlr6 is made for the m118lr 7.62. With heavier grain 5.56 rounds out of a 14.5 or longer it matches up pretty well so it will work. 7.62 and 5.56 are one in the same damned near when it comes to ballistics out to 550-600 yards.
Don't apologize for the 'pigeon hole' Its what we all needed and didn't know we wanted. Its the epitome of optics testing and nobody will deny it. If it survives Aaron, its a worthy device.
"We live in an era of tremendous facts. And the facts are facts. They are also unpleasant facts, which does not decrease their factual percentage one bit. Our job is to understand them, to recognize their presence, to learn if we can what they signify and not to fall into the error of minimizing facts because they have a bitter flavor."
Mil-Spec usually means that something should work - but it also means it was probably supplied by the lowest bidder so it could've been a lot better for more money.
I hope you liked Oregon! This state gets a bad rap because of it's three biggest cities, but travel outside of them and it is a pretty damn remarkable place.
I haven't considered Sig for anything save weapons, and my last was a 226 Navy Seal in 1988 and recent P365's. But, now they have my interest. When I drop any weapon, my primary concern is damage affecting safe usage and accidental discharges, not cosmetic device damage. I can always replace anything that is cosmetically unappealing, but a device that no longer works due to gravity will never be replaced with like-kind in my collection. Durability and reliability are my priority.
I'm glad you said it because you always hear people throw out the term Mil-Spec or the phrase the military uses it like that's what makes a product the holy grail or best of the best. In my experience a lot of the time it just means you're about to spend a $h!t load of money for a specialized piece of gear that in the civilian market you can find better or more useful gear for a lot less money. That said I have one of the Tango6 3-18×44 (which I spent a $h!t load of money for) and a couple of the Tango4 4-16×44 optics that I use on my precision rifles and I also run the the Romeo 5 XBR dots on 5 different rifles so far I've had pretty good luck with Sig optics.
First of all, love your channel and respectable content. Wonderful news that Sig is getting government contracts and going to start making their optics on the USA. My Romeo 1 Pro was assembled in the Philippines. I’m going to be a Sig Fan boy and plan to get the Romeo 2, as long as it survives your torture test.
I used this optic for my first Run & Gun. Was super impressed with all the pain it endured and had no issues with it whatsoever. Also took it to a TSS match and it did exactly what I expected out of it. I don't knownif it will replace the RDS that I have, but it's definitely worth a look in its category.
@@kevf500 the tension line width is the only way this one provides a way to estimate distance. I'm not exactly sure of it is the same as the ACOG, and I don't have the same reticle as the one that won the contract.
@@southern842 I was using m855 and a 14.5 SOLGw barrel. I got plenty of dope before the match... there are more factors to consider than bullet weight and barrel length.
I'd like to see flip to side magnifier mount tests/comparisons one of these days. I think the citizenry would get more mileage out of open reflex/red dot + magnifier than LPVOs and their ever present scope shadow and narrower eye relief unless they run offset red dots.
It’s a lesser knock-off of the GRSC reticle. I would love any durable optic with the GRSC reticle in it. The GRSC is so much more intuitive since it has the rule of 10s. All the circles are 10” and automatically steer you into the correct range on man targets, while also providing an easy windage hold system for DMRs and carbines.
bought this optic without doing my research because im impulsive. After watching this i feel i made the right decision. And i am super accurate with it.
I LOVE my tango 6t. I bought it trusting that the military didn’t make a bad decision. No one had reviewed it yet and no one was talking about it but I bought it anyways instead of the eotech vudu or the vortex razor. I could not be happier.
@Jugg Jugg my next optic is the vortex 1-10. Vudu was terrible with brightness. But the tango 6t is incredible. Bought the 7.62 BDC reticle and put it on my scar for hog hunts. LOVE IT and it’s held up to the abuse after about 2500 rounds.
@@ericmckinley7985 I don’t think it’s necessarily bad but man this tango 6t is badass. I look like such a sig fan boy with all the sig guns and optics I now own but they are doing it right. I have ABUSED this thing in the swamps of south Florida hog hunting and it’s held up better than anything else I own. I don’t know what it is about this optic and others from Sig but I don’t want to baby it. Even their red dots. My T2’s and T1’s I baby and I think it’s because of price. My Sig red dots and scopes I treat like crap and have ALL held up. Best value hands down. Between the Romeo 4t and the tango 6t I don’t know why I would buy anything else. If you are in the market seriously consider these you won’t be disappointed.
@@floridaman727 what mount do you have for it? You have more fun with your gear than I ever will just physically demanding 2 gun. Pass on the 4T its us made but I've seen unfavorable stuff about it. This lpvo is another story
Some of their cheaper optics are made and assembled in China. It’s the government contract ones that are manufactured in China and then assembled in America. That’s just what I heard.
I just got sig’s new micro magnifier. Has a made in China sticker on it, disappointed me a bit but I have liked the quality after zeroing it in so far.
And yet again I saw why don't you have more subs. If there's anything I want to buy that you have review, I always watch your videos first. Great content
At this point, if you aren't subbed, you probably dont see his videos. Thats how they remove parts of the user base they don't want. And also how they attempt to control the public narrative. Whatever that may be this week. So you can be subbed to someone with 10k subs, that in a fair ecosystem would be as big pewd. Imo you should be judged based on your total channels subbed to # vs their total sub #s. Hahaha
Ohhhhhhh you got a fancy trip to the west coast huh?!?!?!?! From Sig. And a free optic?! Weeeeeelllllll...SOOOOO super suprised you gave it a good review after your nice vacation to the "manufacturing" facility and free gear. (Hahahaha...great review. Just ordered mine. Thanks brother).
I disagree with you on one point: SIG did not take the Henry Ford approach with this optic. Had they done so, it would come in any color you want, so long as it is black.
good video. on side note i watched video of cz bren 2 in 7.62 x 39. you are right on the mags. with everything going on i bought mags in past 3 days and paid from $75 then 2 days later-$40 a piece . ughh but i got them while i could. thanks again
I have one and my friend has the Vortex Razor 1-10, i prefer my sig tango 6t its an awesome optic and very aesthetically pleasing. Buy a badger ordnance mount to go with it.
i wish i knew someone who had one to try out, i really want this scope but cant throw away 1300 bucks if it doesnt work for me. great video as always man.
Good test, as always. This would probably be worth the $, but as a poor that never really learned to shoot I’ve already got PA and Vortex optics with great reticles and more magnification for less money. If they break, I can afford to replace them. I also don’t think 5.56 terminal ballistics or my shooting ability require holds to 1000m.
Still hard to beat is the generous and unlimited eye relief of a red dot. Awesome and informative video as always. I’m assuming the Tango 6T is made in the USA?
Got my first lpvo and shot it today. I treated it like an acog on 1x just get the dot on target and shoot for cqb. My speed was a tad slower than on my t1 style sight but it seemed like it was my confidence slowing me down. I say slowing me down but it was negligible and I feel like practice will iron that out.
I prefer Acogs or Eotech/MRO with magnifier over lpvo, maybe when they get the weight down some more. Get a 1-10x crystal clear, as durable as an acog with low weight and I will consider it
I had a VTX 1-6, the model you asked about, and sold it to upgrade to an ATACR. Got the Tango6T to go with my shorter build. Honestly, the color and clarity is a smidge better in the Tango and there is less distortion around the edges. Both are great though. Buy whatever is in stock and you like. If I were to grade them I’d give the sig a A and the vortex a A-
I love your videos! Can you do one about a suppressed 6.8 spc 2 SBR? I have been doing a lot of research, it seems that the 6.8 spc 2 is the jack of all roles but the master of none.
I have never noticed the light shining back in low light lol that’s a GREAT Idea!!! I’m absolutely gonna steal that haha I’ll pass on the optic tho, I’m shooting 300 or less and my eyes or a magnifier still solve the problem 👍🏼 yeah those drops hurt tho!! 😢 Lol
Can you tell me what the army is getting for which system? Can’t find anything out there on what system is getting what reticle. You say its the DWLS-6 but I’m finding more online that its the DWLS-556
