I'm from Australia and I've been listening to this song everyday for the last few months. I've been terribly depressed and this song makes me feel like there is an undeniable light in each day. It makes me smile amoung the frowns. It's so beautiful, it reminds me life is beautiful too and not to give up. Thankyou.
I went through a similar spell. What helped me was to pick up an instrument and learn to play it. As I had never done that before, it was baby steps all the way. But learning, playing, and singing help keep the depression in check. For me at least.
The scene :Many years ago on my way by foot to a little corner paper shop, 6am ,dark as midnight and the wind was blowing a real hooley…, it was tipping it down on a morning not fit for neither man nor beast..As I neared my destination I spied a solitary figure coming toward me, an old man, certainly in his 80’s ,bowed over with a tight grasp of his coat lapels in the hope of keeping warm on such a morning. I was virtually soaked to the pelt and regretting going on the errand I had foolishly set myself.. AS we met I exclaimed to the old man ‘ That’s a really badddd day’ in reference to the weather.. Suddenly I felt a hand on my collar as I edged past ,stopping me in my tracks.. The old man lifted his head, looked clearly into my eyes and said ‘ SON, you haven’t seen a bad day yet !…. I never forgot that old man’s timely few words…There is no such thing as darkness, it simply doesn’t exist, it is a non entity,it is only the absence of light…. Look for the light in life, it effortlessly washes the darkness away…..😊
Every now and then a piece comes into your life that stops you in your tracks. Driven with a passion to experience playing something so inspiring, having barely touched my Octave mandolin for many months, I've barely put it down for the past four days. Lacking a lot of embellishment and finesse, but I've almost worked it out. I can't wait to see you guys in the UK some day. Keep up the good work.
This song was so beautiful that I had to learn it on my fiddle. Very well done, gentlemen. I am glad I discovered you in my RU-vid travels. Keep up the great work.
Just saw you in Nürtingen together with Akleja and I was amazed. Maybe you find some other pieces that go well together, because as a quartet, it went together really well and the musical power of you as a quartet was absolutely overwhelming.
Incredible, is that an octave mandolin or a bouzouki? (or a mandola??) And what's its tuning? Anyway, it sounds so amazing, warm and full. What an instrument
@@sigerband sweet, thank you! I had just bought an octave mandolin myself and was looking for music to learn, so stumbled upon this. Your instrument is on another league though haha. Btw love your music and the Trio Dhoore too!
