Append to my Comment November 2012: The specific Sonor®/Hohner® kick pedals that I pictured this piece are the Giant Step™ Twin Effects model developed for Thomas Lang - too bad that, at ~$1000 a pop, it didn't sell and Hohner discontinued it after only two years.
Op. 101 Thirty-three Portraits No. 5 Ein Siegesgesang Israels (A Victory-song of Israel) (Lobet den Herren mit Pauken und Zimbeln schön (Praise the Lord with Drums and Cymbals beautifully))
I can already picture the sort of percussion that would complete this piece as orchestrated. Ideally, I'd use two Yamaha® BD926YJ kicks (with Sonor®/Hohner® Giant Step pedals), one MSS9214 snare, and hi-hat stand with a 13" Avedis Zildjian® cymbal pair; the balance of the gear would consist of tympani plus a 20" K. Zildjian® Vintage Orchestral pair (AZC P/N K1144).
amazing however because im a musical idiot/genius i would have played that echo on one of the Reeds. Preferably any powerful solo stop, reed chorus, or chamade ;-) plus, because of the beauty of this awe-inspiring piece, play it a second time!!
