You don't have to explain yourself, girl! It's YOUR hair! I actually love seeing you doing different things to your locs! My locs are living vicariously thru yours🥰 thanks for this video and for being so transparent, Keke❤❤❤
noooo :( sorry that happened. On the plus side, a professional could strip the black, purple, and blue from your hair without any damage and get you back to a pretty ginger again whenever you're brave enough to try that again down the line.
I absolutely love you!! I'm new to your channel, and as soon as you said, "subscribe and join the pride" I was sold! Thanks for your great content, and your personality shines
I love seeing you try color on your locs but I'm partial to the black on you. I just appreciate you enjoying and doing what you like on your loc journey!💜🔥
For future reference, color oops is mostly meant for hair colors that are mixed with peroxide/developer. And the colors didn’t come out the way you wanted because your hair had a lot of orange tones and blue and orange are opposites, so they cancel each other out. Hopefully this helps 💜
Girl don't worry about what people think that's your hair you look beautiful with any color you put in your hair brown purple and blue black it don't matter it's yours hair♥️💯
I use the color oops in the blue box. That one works best for me because it removes the color build up from my locs. The smell is strong but not as strong as the one you used. I’ve used that one two to remove black dye I had initially. You’re hair is beautiful either way. I love both the black and brown! Loving the highlights. Thank you for sharing! Very encouraging for us newly locked girls/guys. (I’m 8 months into my journey).
Dang! I’m sorry it didn’t work out! And I was one of the ones rooting for you too! I know how much you loved the brown, but the jet black looks SO good too! And I’m glad that you don’t have any damage. Thanks so much for sharing your color journey with us!
I change my color often so no explanation needed. You do what you want! When I went blue and purple over my blonde, it didn’t come out either. I read somewhere years ago that Color Oops doesn’t work as well on purple hues. It got out enough with the purple eventually and then I used a semi permanent pink to cancel the rest of the blue/green to get back to my blonde. Now my locs look dusty blonde/brown so I gotta find something else to do with it that fits my mood 🤗
I love the transformation of your hair over the years (I personally love the black), but anyone else is feeling the urge to dye your hair yourself, do a patch test first to see how it turns out
Baby!! Your locs are fire!! No matter the color to me! No apologies needed, it's your hair do you. We learning and enjoying from each other. I love the brown and the black🥰
"Let me explain" ha ha! I admit i was waiting for the bliue/purple hair picture but seriously, you don't owe any explanation, it is your hair, you actually motivate me to color mine! You're glowing whatever color your hair is! But thank you still for this video!
OMG! I was shocked to see your hair back to black. You are beautiful regardless of your hair color. Thank you for always sharing your experiences. I take in all information, especially with coloring locs because I lo e adding color to my locs. I'm so sorry it didn't turn out like you wanted.
Sorry for your (color) loss, sis 😭Curlsmith Hair Makeup in Copper is my go to for temporary hair color. Comes out in one wash. I like it because it’s a light gel and not a wax.
Don't get me wrong.. I loved the golden brown vibes on you but something about all black that just looks bomb girl 😍. Not me about to bleach my hair to a brown though and now thinking I should buy black dye too just in case
The 'let me explain' gave me the 'I combed out my locs again' video vibes. 😂 You look great, and hopefully it'll fade nicely and you'll get your brown back. Though you don't wanna use bleach, I've seen that will get colors out or at least remove some pigment. Otherwise, protect your hair!
I'm just coming from ig. Whatever you choose to do with your hair will fit you beautifully. I think i can see a shade of green. Your hair is beautiful whether colored or not😘
Your hair looks great! To get fashion colors like blue and purple you have to start with a lighter base. Like almost pale blond. I learned this the hard way. Blue will always turn green and purple will be like a muted brownish color like you achieved. But then if you bleach your locks that high of a lift, you risk damaging them. So I tried to stop bleaching above strawberry blond.
Color Oops was my savior when I used it. I was a red before getting rid of it. I was shocked when you said it didn’t work for you but, after you explained I see why. Color Oops does smell very bad.
Right! 😂 somebody take my credit card! but thank you so much! It definitely is strong considering things I’ve done to her with my locs and when I was a loose natural. She’s been able to hold up pretty well
I know how much you liked the brown, so I'm sure you're feeling sad. But the jet black really does suit you and pop. I find most black people's hair isn't jet black becuase of sun exposure, so when you do jet black, I always love the look
If this ain’t my color story!! Not exactly the same but I just gave up after trying to go lighter and went back to black lol. Recently lightened (again) and used Adore semi-permanent colors to create a ginger/brown color that I LOVE. I’m happy that our hair is so resilient but Chile coloring locs is WORK! 😂
Beautiful you should try Bigen it’s a stain it’s really a Henna for hair you use warm water to mix apply to hair and it last for 6months now color over it is a no go until it grows out. But it’s better than traditional die. On natural to loc hair and it’s $6-$8 only.
The exact same thing happened to me ! It's because your brown wasn't light enough for the colors to come out vibrant . I tried to go blue with mine and it was not what I was going for. It eventually faded to like a green even with color oops... and the only way I could correct it/ cancel it out was to dye it red, doing that got me a tinted Burgundy and it eventually faded back to brown (the brown you had).
I tried to use color oops to remove burgundy and it was a struggle. I had to use two boxes to get a decent lift and it stunk up my house like you said. I ended up using a baking soda method to try to get my hair back to the lifted color. Luckily I didn't damage my hair but it was stripped of all moisture.
Omg, I guess you didn't think to do a strand test first to see if the blue and purple would be what you were looking for. I loved the brown color on you but the black is nice too. TFS!
Keke, I really think it may be the off brand dyes that are very hit or miss! I used an off brand smi permanent green dye (I normally use Adore but couldn't find any) on my locs and it wouldn't come out. I tried color oops and a different color remover brand. I ultimately went to black😭
Keke, you are so pretty! Congratulations- please, can you send me the contact information for the person that locs your hair- also what state do they live in?
Quick question I’m debating on starting my own micro locs I know I can do it or I may pay someone if you had it to do again would you start your own or have them done by a professional also did you interloc as well when you twisted I have two choices for starting mine one being braids that speak (consultation done) and one more unless I decide to do it myself….. helppppp and I will be on y’all live tomorrow ❤️
Sis I did laugh when you went in the sun 😂😂 !! Aside from that your hair looks beautiful and everything happened for a reason. Everything will always work out for your greatest good 🥰🥰‼️
