If they're not hitting the swimbaits and topwater as well as I'd hope, my next go-to is slow-working shrimp imitations next to them. The "when it was sitting, he came and ate it" redfish you caught would've been a major clue.
Awesome video as always. I was in the pass last week and can’t believe how clear it’s been. Running the channel in 7-8’ and being able to see the bottom is definitely not normal, but very cool.
Love the videos man! Just curious, what makes you target those areas when you do? There’s similar landscape near me but I’ve been struggling recently. Thanks in advance
Honestly I love using google earth to scout out some areas. Then it’s just trial and error. When I explore new spots I typically use a lure I know will give me a great chance to catch fish. Gulp/NLBN. If there’s nice mangroves and bottom and you have some water movement (not stagnant) odds are you will find some fish. Morning or evening is typically my go to this time of year with the heat.
@@christian_masterson thanks! I’m limited to fishing from shore so Google Earth has been a godsend lol. Last question, how light are you going on jig heads in this shallow of water?
