My my my! I’m so glad I came across this channel. Thank you for a gut level honest review filled not only with information but good info! Thank you for sharing things you were not aware of, like the sleep mode/ power source. Most won’t share that trying to polish their image! You care more about us and our experience than your image. Your family and friends I know are blessed to know you. Thanks brother! I’m subscribed- support coming. Thx again
@rbmcdonald1977 I really appreciate that, my friend. When I first started the channel, I never planned on doing so many reviews, but I always wanted to watch a video where someone was being more honest than "salesman." I hope you stick with the channel because I've got a lot more things coming. Thank you again for the subscription and watching.
@@H.A.B.Outdoors I was scrolling down and saw a post from you that said you now have a scope that you prefer over the Sightmark, but I no longer see it. Do have a link to that video? Thanks for the great videos, by the way!
I put the Sightmark Wraith 4K Max 3-24x50mm Digital Rifle Scope on my Sig Sauer MCX Spear and it works a wonder. It is rated to .308 and as long as you follow the warranty specifics, you have no worries. Carried zero at 1000 rounds which is tough to do. Better quality than I expected.
Thanks for the great videos. Just bought my Wraith 4K 4x32x50 this morning. They gave me a $75 military veteran discount. FedEx says it will be here in 4 work days.
Awesome my friend. I just did another video on a new night vision scope that’s superior to the sightmark However the sightmark is still one of my favorites and absolutely love them and their price
Hahaha using the multiple memories for range settings is absolutely brilliant! Been considering getting one of these for my brother's 50th. You've got the best in depth reviews on the sight marks. Subbed.
I have the 4X32X50 and love it. Goes through batteries quicker than I like but it’s dead on and holds zero very well. Very clear at all zoom levels and live the different customizable options.
The sight mark wraith is a 500$ unit, that is dirt cheap.I wanted to swap over to thermal imaging scope so I bought the Atn Thor 4 1.24-5x magn 384 sensor. 2000$ wasted.the sightmark wraith out performs this scope by 10 miles.don’t waste your money on Atn as the Thor 4 screen keeps freezing up
Hello over in the states I have also two models over here in the uk and as you stated fantastic scopes never let me down, great review no bull and love your channel.
Great video very informing just getting into night hunting using a 204 ruger do my own barrel floating and bedding plus do my own reloading so i will be staying with the bolt action for now to start with again great format hope you do more
Appreciate ya buddy. I'm gonna do some more videos on some different night hunting devices as well. I hesitated to do reviews when we first started because we do alot of fishing and other stuff too. I didn't want to be k own for reviews alone but you guys like them so I will do some more
Nice review. I actually love these sightmark scopes- I have an older photon and have killed more rats than I care to count on our property. Always dead on. Shoots dimes at 35-50 yards on my pellet gun. .22 ca Benjamin marauder. Looking to upgrade and I think this is my budget choice. Thanks!
I like my 4-32X50 scope, and if you need longer battery life, then get a backup battery and use a digital cable to connect it, and velcro it to your platform.
One thing that I really wanted to see since I have the 4x32 is the night view through the 2 power at night in the woods. 4 power is WAY too much magnification in the woods at night. The IR splash is AWFUL with the brush and all at that magnification. Zero magnification would be great . Also the screen brightness is punishing compared to the ATN which can be turned down to a comfortable level.
you are great at making videos. keep going brother. I'm subscribing before u get famous and every company starts sending you free stuff to promote for them
I like that this scope does NOT have the internal batteries that cannot be replaced. I would also like to find a decent scope that doesn't have any video recording or SIM card to cause glitches but these manufactures just cant help adding all the bells and whistles hunters (not streamers) don't really need.
Great review liked all the extra info and footage ! Just subscribed and liked appreciate all you do brother keep put ‘‘em out we will keep liking here in southern west by god Virginia !
It appears to me that the x magnifications are clearer on the 4x32. If you compare 8x on the 2x16 to the 8x on the 4x32, the 4x32 is better. Maybe it’s just me. I do like the wider field of view on the 2x as opposed to the 4x. Trade offs! Uugh!!! I expect to be using it under a 100 yards primarily to keep the coyotes off my farm. I have a 7.62 AR. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Came this close then the max 308 got me, lol. Although Browning A-Bolt 300 mag with BOSS is close to 308 recoil without brake. Decsions decisions, lol.
Nice video. I also have a Sightmark 4x32x50. By the way, I have a question. The tip of the scope has a screw for a sunshade, but I can't find a sunshade that fits this scope on amazon. Is it sold by Sightmark specifically for this scope? thank you.
be careful on the usb insert for extra power pack, they go inside and you cant repair them , as ive found out twice and im not heavy handed, very dissapointed with this model .
Outfrickin’standing review Brotha 😎🙏 I personally prefer to be on the more “ cost effective “ side of the night optics tools that are out there, and your description, and practicality of both scopes really made sense to me….well, at least for my particular applications to these scopes…..and for the price, it’s a no brainer. I just pulled the trigger on the 2x16 for pest control ( ratting control ) at my Father-in law’s Farm in the Philippines, It’ll be perfect. Thanks for posting your take, and best of luck on your upcoming night hunts 😎🙏👍
and I have a problem, I set everything during the day. after that I change to night I turn on the IR and see almost nothing. it's hard to tell what the scope will point to. The image is fuzzy and missing shades of gray. I see something, but I can't tell what I'm looking at. I don't say what I see at 100 meters, it's hard to see something at 15 meters
Oh definitely. Look for my video where I have a hog hanging in the the thumbnail and you can see the actual footage of my laying a pig down with the 2x16x28
Thank you. This has been driving me insane. I bought the 4×32x50 and I could not for the life of me figure out why it wouldn't go to 1x. I've seen lots of videos where they have the 4x32x50 and their videos show them at 1x. Anyone have an answer for this? Than you.
Man I hear ya. So you have 8x magnification. I've also seen this on some videos but there is no option to change that in the scope. But from the 4 to 32 is 8 times so I'm not sure if it's only on some scopes or not. But no matter what you will never fall below 4 power
So when I reached out and asked the same question the answer was "for best performance make sure all batteries are same type and same charge". I've had bad experiences with rechargeable batteries in the past and I prefer not to use them. Now this doesn't mean that they wouldn't work fine but with the external battery port that it offers I would suggest using external power when you can and have the INTERNAL batteries as a backup. But that's totally up to you
You need to do some research on picatinny 45 degree offset plates ...and an anker usb battery bank to mount on top of the wraith ,,,,battery and light still mounted to scope body ....I know youre limited due to bolt gun and no rails
@@H.A.B.Outdoors another question for you. I mounted this scope on my Remington 700 6mm but the eye piece is too far forward for me to get my eye up against it. So I ordered an extension mount from Sight Mark. It looks like you don't use an extension on your rifles. Is it not needed?
Just the fact that they are designed here in Texas has got me sold. So, I’m really leaning towards the 2x. Like you, I rarely if ever shoot much past a 100 yds. We are generally in our blinds not far from the feeder. One thing I’ve learned about on any of these web site. You will Never please the big money guys. If you don’t spend as much as they do and have everything they have, your stuff is shit. I don’t even try to compete with those fools. I do appreciate your honesty and your opinion. I will be messaging you later about your TC Compass 308 soon. I have the same gun, first gen and I absolutely love it. But, it’s bone stock. I want to visit with you on your upgrades. Love your channel. New subscriber here.
I’m gonna say that the 4x32 would be my best choice for .17 up to 30-06. I need to see good like from 100 yards to 350+ say so that’s what I’m going to purchase .
Hey ...!!! wanted to leave an update. No more monsters on the new farm. At least none yet. Thank God. Moving has to be the worst thing ever though. I wouldn't wish moving on anyone. If you ever get boing mad at someone instead of yelling "Go to Hades"", put the curse on them. Holler I hope you have to move soon. Movers took all the big stuff. Wife wanted to move the thousands of small items. Oh my lord. Never, ever, again. Took weeks to even find stuff, we still have like 15 more totes to go through. And it's been months. Just got burned out day after day. So those totes are like the devil. We avoid them at all costs. Peace.
Thank you for a great review. I am buying the 2-16-28. Was on the fence , then saw the difference. I'm wanting to get back in the mountains again. Had a nightmarish encounter with an animal that is not suppose to exist. A Bigfoot. It damn near killed me and my friend. And we were both armed. Hard to see a 100% black Giant monkey at night. Hard to see it without N.V. as well. I used to poke fun at other people claiming to have seen them . But when the shoe is on the other foot , it's different. I lived in Tx for about 10 years ,Hot ass place. Glad to be back in Va. The 2-16-28 will be the one best suited for me. Sold my old farm and moved to a new one. Baited for Bigfoot , nothing taken for a week now. So hopefully there are none here , the other farm had them hope the new owners like them better than we did. It's hard to believe they are so big and quiet, yet undiscovered. I think being nocturnal is why. We were both armed with 22 l.r. and 20 ga. they didn't even faze it. It was up on us like lighting. Hard to believe something so big is so fast. And quiet. I'll be attaching this to my Ar-10 308. I liked subbed and notified. Peace.
@@H.A.B.Outdoors I did...!!! As far as I know. I am the only person in history. To ever get one on a trail camera. Lot of work and trickery went into it. Even then I got junior, instead of big daddy . these ANIMALS ARE ""big . Like ohmygod big. Like 8-9 feet tall and straight up built. They have no fear of man. I wish I had never seen one. I know they are out there. And I know no human can beat them. As I said , you see one. It'll change everything in your life. You'll know they are out there. And that's what changes. It's the "knowing" they are out there. It's the view of a muscled up Great ape. And you realize , it will tear you from limb to limb. Peace.
@@ryantogo8359 Pictures. Lol I hear people say that a lot. Imagine you and a friend are going squirrel hunting. You're running to jump across a creek. As you make the leap , in midair you see it. As it grabs you. The first thought in your head is "oh-no" my camera. I had time to scream, but it didn't come out. Because a fist fight and trying to keep her from twisting my head were my only thoughts. After she bit me, pure rage. Nothing but red hot anger. Make no mistake it was..... a fight to the death. And "no" I was not afraid. Rage. She was going to kill me, and I wasn't going to let that happen. That's all there was to it. When my cousin finally came up on us, he shot her with his 410 and she threw me away and went on him. I knew if I took off and left him, she would kill him too. So back into it I went. We both survived it. Both lost our jobs ,to bowed up to work. Lost the guns from using them as clubs. And lost our freedom. David moved to the city. I became afraid of the dark. To this day I wonder if she lived or died. You wouldn't think I'd care. But I do. On my tiny site on YT. There is a film I made of one. Took some real woods savvy to get it too. People think you just hang up a trail cam and wa-la. They are some extremely smart animals. Tricking them is no easy task. Took me years to figure it out. And I'm a real woodsman. I know all about scent control and camo and the rut and food sources etc.etc. When you watch it, put it up on as big a screen as you can. You'll see a real live one. I'll also prove to you how it's a real one. thebigfellar Peace.
Excellent, review. Honest and straight to the point. I’ve been looking at these for about 6 months and thinking about buying one, been looking at a lot of reviews on RU-vid but your review seems to be the one that’s made me actually go and buy one. Gone for the 2-16 model as I’ll be using it for ratting on my air rifle 👍 thanks
@@H.A.B.Outdoors just a quick update on the scope. I can honestly say it’s the best thing I’ve bought for £350 in years. Fantastic bit of kit easy to set up and use, I use an external power pack similar to the one you use and just keep it on all the time when I’m shooting. I know as you say that there are numerous other types and manufacturers of scopes, but seriously for me as a ratting scope and for the picture quality the build quality you can’t go wrong 👍 a couple of friends of mine use them for fox control out to 200+ meters and have nothing but praise for the unit.
