I've bought 30mm for sony a6400 and I'm more than happy with the lens ..... Images are sharp and the bokeh you get out of this lens is just amazing with that 1.4 aperature

Great video. I have a cannon m50 with the stock lenses and also a “nifty 50” lens”. I am looking to get another lens that does not crop too much. My shooting space is not too large so I have to move as far back as I can with my “nifty 50” so the video Is not 60 percent my face. Is the 30mm about the same as the nifty 50? I am looking to get a lens that allows more of my body to show when filming but still provide the blurry effect behind me. Thanks.

Great video Brother. I think yours is the only one i found in RU-vid that explains who should get which lens so kudos to that. I am new relatively new to the world of photography. 1 month old to be precise and for my use which is mostly travel photography and general day to day use which lens would you recommend out of the 2. I own a A6600 with 18-135 kit lens FYI.I would not be using the camera for any professional work .Its mostly to satisfy my hobby as a photographer. Taking some photos here an there while traveling,Photos of family friends and few get together and that's all. Would appreciate your response.

I really like Sigma lenses and appreciate their quality. I don't have one. I bought a 23mm Viltrox instead of the 30mm Sigma and have ordered a 12mm Samyang AF instead of the 16mm Sigma. The Sigma 16 is next on my list even though I have that focal length covered with the kit lens. I like the f1.4. I am now thinking of the Tamron 17-70 for one of my camera bodies that now carries the 16-50 kit lens. I certainly think the 30mm Sigma is a good choice for many people. Near a "normal" lens, but a tad wider ... I think this is great. Good show! Thanks.

My first camera set up was a Sony a6600 with a sigma 30mm, and I wasn’t to happy with it.. then I got the sigma 16mm and made a big difference on the video

Yea 16mm is my favorite between the 2. You were not happy with the 30mm when it came to video? How was photo?

I own lumix g85 with kit lens 12-60 mm and currently I did not like that setup so much because very bad in low light and very less Bokeh and mainly I make RU-vid video plus wedding photography and videography etc and now I considered sigma 16 mm 1.4 and on this system it's act like 32mm so what's ur opinion, m I on right path🔥

I'm thinking about 16mm vs 56mm, but I think the 56 is more "special" - giving great results even when the background is not great, in the city. I'd be curious about this comparison. Also - the music is loud compared to the voice...

I wouldn’t say it’s a need. You can create amazing work with the equipment you already have. But having the variety of wide and tight lenses is always a plus.

Are you sure about the AF on the 30mm? My copy had issues with manual focus and the AF?? It seems to miss - focus even though the green box is on the face of a person? I returned it and went back to my Sigma 30 f2.8 as it is a more sound lens overall. Slower but reliable.

I haven’t had any problems with the AF! I also use face detect so I can tell you that I don’t have any issues when shooting both photo and video. Hope this helps 👍🏼

@@kaushaltiwari9773 hey man it’s not because of your camera. you have to “update” your lens. By “update” I mean you have to hook up your camera with the sigma 30mm lens to your laptop and go to the sigma page, search up the sigma 30mm 1.4 f and you have to update the software on it for the AF to work better

I had the Sigma 16mm and ended up selling it mainly because I wasn't really doing many videos. Great lens, but day to day the 30mm is my go-to and for when I am unsure what I'll find to shoot I'll take my Sony 18-135mm OSS along.

The sigma 30mm is nkt sharp i own it and i want to sell it its really a trash lens

@@wendellglo5076 unless you're using a model with IBIS like the a6500 or a tripod you're going to encounter some image quality issues. Having a high shutter speed and something to stabilize the camera on/against helps either way, but there could also be an issue with the lens itself. Proper cleaning of the glass too using camera specific items helps as oppose to just a soft cloth.

@@wendellglo5076 did you buy it new or used? Also are you using it wide open (at 1.4)? I admit it's not as sharp wide open but unless you're shooting in dim environments, lower the f-stop a little and you'll see a big difference.
