Man the minimum focus distance is taken from the sensor. Not the front end lens... Thanks for this video. I have the 50mm 1.4 lumix S pro and this no noise aperture ring is of a great interest for videos. The missed focused in continuous shooting is due to the S1 I think. The contrast only AF of this body has some issues. I have the same problemes
We did not use continuous AF for the video. The touch focus worked well when we had to shift focus provided there was enough contrast. I am trying continuous focus in video with the 45mm 2.8 L mount now and works well, again, provided there is enough contrast.
KitKarma thanks so much for taking the time to respond. I’d love to see a tutorial on how you light your wedding video scenes and how you colour grade them. You’re doing great work!
I understand entirely why you did face detect CAF, but is there any chance you've played around with single point CAF? That is, personally, what I'm really interested in. If you have any idea, that'd be great. Thanks regardless.
HI mate ! nice review , Got that lens since 2 months , on S1 ,no complain at all about quality IQ and bokeh but I got two disappointment ? 1) Manual LINEAR focus doesn't work on S1 , so MF very bad and slow 2) I don't like aperture ring rotation start to f16 instead to f1.2 , plus if u turn from manual aperture to A , aperture back at F4 and not at full aperture dunno why Any helps THX
