He probably has two personality’s now, an evil one and his normal state, before the experiment. So now he’s basically insane but only half of him is so his normal side is constantly in distress trying to regain control and put an end to his wrongdoings.
@@unOrdinaryBlue i wouldnt go that far. theres multiple drastic states we see, but i dont think its like multiple personalities (or, at least, it wouldnt be the proper image) i suppose the way im taking it, is that with the experiment he ended up shifting from our current plane. whether you want to consider it as time or space, i dont think it matters. hes probably envisioning his whole life, or things beyond our normal capabilities which leaves him very confused and open to manipulation. id say the most likely scenario is that after the accident talon takes him and is able to change his perspective, and given his extra-temporal/spatial abiltiies it affects his past too. so its like after the accident his future self is grooming the past self (with say music/knowledge/aggression) to join talon, which helps talon groom him and helps groom himself in turn. if what he says is true, that freedom and imprisonment are all illusions, hes probably gained some awareness that any choice he makes has already been done, and is effectively destined (but its just outside of his awareness to fully comprehend everything). i cant wait to see more interactions, my guess is that he will be more distant from the others, focusing more on himself or making more comments about things that others cant quite understand, though thats just a guess
@@unOrdinaryBlue yeah, as much as id love to see the devs go into experimental/theoretical concepts for characters, just the ability to control black holes would make him the most overpowered being not only in the game, or their universe, but any actual universe. i dont think its something we could ever actually handle let alone display accurately

@@lordholzi he might be referring to the personality or possibly when he was split by the black hole something that allows him to control gravity is inside him which also would explain why he refers to the universe and it's melody singing to him
When the audio is played backwards, he says "Release me!" pretty clearly at the beginning. He whispers "Hold it together" a few times and that's all I can decipher. Anything else?
Maybe the backwards and normal version correspond to his two different egos. Like in the beginning of the backwards one it begins with “Release me” in a evil voice
Then maybe the good version is insane and sort of crippled while the evil version is dangerous and powerful. Maybe one of his abilities would be able to switch between the two, but I don’t know what the good version’s abilities would be.
he has 3 versions of him, good, bad and neutral, each fighting over for dominance, when he ults we can hear multiple laughs at once so maybe there are even more personalities
0:52 Melody's a harness is perhaps the most interesting: it could imply that the melody he keeps hearing and his ability to control gravity are somehow connected Man I love this backstory.
To me it sounds like the version of Sigma before the accident is trying to get out but is being taken over. I also feel like he has three different personas, His sane and scientific one, his insane one, and his evil one.
I think all three are scientific ones. The good (innocent, checked curiosity), the chaotic (disjointed, insane), and the evil (violent, destructive) are all connected through his scientific passion, and all have analytical skills, which is what makes him so dangerous.
Queenlafry I Agree, in my comment I called him insane and evil, but I never called him stupid. I think his insane persona is probably way smarter than me.
I love when stories play around with the concept of humans being given even a portion of true godlike power. The unanimous theme through the majority of them is that human minds are not built to withstand the sheer magnitude of the underpinning forces that hold their world together, and exposure to the truth of those forces almost always shatters the human psyche to some degree.
Black holes don't work that way, they mess with space and time perception. He manifested into his own black hole and was sucked into it, his personalities aren't fighting for control, they all exist in his mind at the same time. To him, this is all happening at once, the lab, the experiment, the prison and the gravity wielding scene where there is no linear timeline. The biggest piece of evidence to me is that he doesn't recognise the melody despite the fact that we know he enjoys it (see the PTR animation) so his 3 mind states all co-exist, this cinematic isn't in order for him but they've all happened at once.
Tyla Riley As support for this, when you play it forward, he asks why he is being imprisoned. He doesn’t know he is working with Talon. Doesn’t know what he has or hasn’t done. It’s all just flashes.
The most impressive thing about this is the fact that even backwards, this origin still has the same chilling and ordinary feel. Blizzard really kicks the bucket sometimes
"Release me" is somewhat fitting. Gravity can be considered as a prison, keeping you on Earth. So perhaps The harness Sigma harnessed is instead imprisoning him in some way?....
@@whuspr nott exactly, I believe the device on his head is all that is controlling him, the melody he constantly mentions is the black hole itself since it's a theory that black holes "sing" so the melody is a reference to the black hole making him mad, or insane, I have a theory that when he tried to harness the black hole he saw the horizon, the unknown of the black hole, maybe a piece of him was left inside the black hole, a sort of harness one might say, imagine that, having a melody constantly play inside your head without stopping or quieting down. That's madness
When the subtitle 'origin story' appears you can briefly see some yellow letters spelling: EM DJIRVEB. If you mirror that you get BEVRIJD ME, which is Dutch for RELEASE ME.
I think he's saying my leg is still on. Almost as if he had a nightmare where his leg came off. This is the greatest origin story by a long stretch, really hope Sigma is a good hero.
It's not only audio I believe, mute the video and watch his hands between 0:00 and 0:14. You see his polygons become a 'blue' black hole, then in his other hand an 'orange' black hole. I feel like they're showing what those polygons do when you watch it backwards. Maybe those 2 polygons are wormholes? Like, hook through the blue one and it comes out of the orange one?

something really tells me that by that hidden message, the doctor is still trapped in his mind and "Sigma" is what Talon has been dubbing his body being controlled by something else and is merely mimicking his pre-insanity personality from his memories to pretend being a "person"
I think his mind can't contain all the info a black hole holds leading to insanity and unpredictably. I think talon try to groom him saying they can 'help'. Also I think the suit helps him to contain the info.
A black hole itself doesn't really hold information. The experience of messing with one though could probably completely break someones concept of reality. Black holes mess with time and somehow gaining control over them has a lot of implications. I think its possible that parts of him can't comprehend the manipulation of time he may have or the actual mess up with the experiment completely broke him.
@@scaltra6709Considering that within a black hole, space and time cease to have any meaning or hold on reality, gaining control over one would mean you’d be granted the "privilege" of looking at the concepts of space and time through what amounts to a window. Pretty sure seeing something like that would shatter the mind of any sane person.

Ok this may be just me, but right after he says "Release me!" at 0:06, it sounds like he says in response to himself, "I'd like to." If so, that's hella creepy.
Somehow its even scarier knowing that the few scattered reverse messages are just him whispering "hold it together". Whatever happened truly fractured his mind
I think melody’s a harness is the way to fix him and keep sigma connected to the real world. Also he probably has three identities of himself which are basically, good, evil, and the reverse one sending the backwards messages who would be more neutral.
The last couple of seconds of the vid where you see the blue letters turning orange, it spells "Bevrijd me" backwards. That means free me in Dutch. Maybe first dutch hero? Voice actor is also dutch.
1:26 sounds like he’s saying “yes, perfect!” Like after he was struggling to hold himself and gravity’s harness together, and finally did the impossible, but at the cost of his sanity.

I believe I sigma wasn’t saying release me to the asylum I think he was saying it to whatever is in him at 1:09 he says it’s in me simultaneously to when he says release me in the unreversed version so could it be that he was saying to release him to whatever is in him and also 1:23 he says get it out also referring to whatever is inside of him
My theory after watchin this is that Talon kidnapped him. They told him they will help him in research to harness the power of blackhole by giving him the equipments. The experiment failed and the blackhole is inside him. We can often hear him say "release me", "together" , "its in me" and " universe sings to me". It means that something is inside him, controlling him. Probably the experiment went wrong and the power of the blackhole went inside him, controlling him.
GUYS !!! Put on subtitles and watch the entire video and you’ll realise that towards the end ( beginning ) he mentions his sister, his boyfriend and other creepy stuff.
