I feel like the keys and the plates combine in the way they do to reconnect reality again. Adler states at Faulke something about the universe coming apart and being put back together by someone who doesnt know how it works. We remake the dreamscape reality using the keys and the plates at critical iunctures to fulfil our promise to Ariane with Elster literally not caring about the consequences because her promise is all that matters.
My suggestion: for relatively long lore/theory video like this, it's better to have footage that illuminate your points rather than random gameplay in the background. Does the astrolabe suggest that Adler himself came into contact with the book?
100% it’s something I wanted to do but ultimately time constraints caught me, will certainly fix that for the next vid of this size Likely, though seeing as that version of the king was hallowed out I doubt it held any power This is backed by it not doing anything of note when Elster got it
@@Cristiferbeast The book seems to have no power either when Iris and the Itou were having it. Its influence can be very subtle, different for different people or merely a herald of what to come. Adler was somehow drawn to the box for no apparentl reason and later hid the astrolabe in the book.
@@garorobe oh i was saying that the book's power isnt always an instant sort of deal like when elster picked it up. Ariane and isa seem to be manipulated/heralded long ago by the book, even when it seemed to do nothing to their childhood
I am addicted to the lore of this game that have almost every thing that I like, and the way you explain things make it really easy to follow along. I can't wait to see what comes next.
That's interesting and everything, but why did someone shit half the key to the butterfly box into the squat toilets on one side of the facility and then take the other half to the shower on the other side? Asking the real question over here.
Great video as usual, the more I learn, the more I realize I don't know haha. I'm tempted to read the actual King in Yellow now to see what they see in the book.
Ooh, a long video. I really like this. I only read as far court of dragon. Do you see any connection of other chapter beside the first two chapter? Reading the book been slow as i need to reread the chapter to visualize the word in story. Regarding theory, assuming the lily ending is elster doing a ritual to resurrect Arianne. Perhaps the KIY book function is to distort Elster to perform the resurrection. I theorize that Arianne is not sent on blind exploring mission. The Aeon nation sent Arianne as sacrifice to resurrect the Empress. Arianne is a natural bioresonance suitable for the Empress medium for resurrection. That would explain why the book start showing the queen, to distort Elster thinking she doing resurrection for Arianne. The Aeon nation send Arianne to the old Flesh abandon test because it require a lot of the flesh to perform resurrection ritual. Perhaps Aeon nation separate from Empire because they are made up of Empress fanatic/loyalist who want the Empress to rule forever. I theorize Falke is sent to Sierpinski to take over ritual since Elster did not want to perform the resurrection. It only after Elster fully corrupted by the book that she perform the ritual, as the secret ending required full understanding of the book.
Thank you for your lore videos, i loved the game but my brain is a bit weird, and it's super hard for me to understand signalis and similar subtle storytelling 😅. I guess thats why i find it so interesting haha
Almost fell asleep trying to comprehend this, i can feel my new obsession growing stronger inside me, and so will come the doubt with it, until i accept the undone and live with it, only to be left with the things i can do, and with the questions i couldnt answer... This disturbing feeling, is what makes us gamers play this games, and i'm not sure how that makes me feel, maybe after a night of rest i will be able to decide between following this path or uninstalling the game forever.
@@throckmortonthebrave6634 The computer is used to send out the transmission, and was probably Ariane's personal PC as we learn at the end of the game. But in regards to its connections to the King, it could be showcasing the active transmission of his influence.
Good on everything but ehhh I don't know about your Adler analysis. Just dismissing his most important character moments as "serving the King in Yellow" is kind of bad. His attempts to stop Elster feel more like just a simple desperate man going *against* the wishes of a cosmic/demonic/incomprehensible entity that he has no real chance of stopping.
I personally feel as though Adler's connections to the Pallad Mask ("i wear no mask") puts him closer to being an underling of the king particularly considering his statements in his diary where he claims to go down to the Flesh to get answers. Also considering that he has greater knowledge of the situation then arguably anyone else based off his diaries (even if this knowledge is incomplete), it does feel as though at least to me that the devs wanted to paint him as a man who knows full well what he is doing, but is still willing to do it because of his goals (this would put him in a very similar dynamic to what Elster does, painting a strong foil in the two), But i do get your interpretation and that could be perhaps seen if the connection was meant to tie him to Alec instead of the Pallad Mask, and how Alec really had no control over the events of his story instead only being passive to their occurance.
Now that's interesting! Truth be told, "it's just all just a dream" is so lazy when it comes to plot explanation. Deus ex Machina scale of lazy. By introducing The Book as an actor (or even an agent) of a story everything, suddenly, makes much more sense.
While the game is definitely not a dream i dont think the "it's just a dream" plot device is bad by itself. Dream is where the mind pull what is conscious and what is unconscious, it's the person, the character, the stage and/or the director. It's you and even more. Denying dream is denying personhood. Like inception take place in dreams within dream, of which real life consequence is really limited and not even definitely explained (the billionaire MIGHT have changed his mind, main protag POSSIBLY reunited with his kids) yet it was one of the most thoughtful, moving blockbuster movie even if you remove its "real world" context.
First ... every Replikas in the game code name all start with S23 that is mean it is belong to S-23 Sierpinski, AEON facility located on Leng planet Only you remember yourself as LSTR-512 that mean you belong to Penrose-512 space ship. not S-23 Sierpinski. FKLR Units is not base on Nation's Leaders daugther. she base on Ariane Yeong. Penrose-512 is a impossible success mission. long long time ago. Some body found her memory unit in the hole under the ground and FKLR infect the false memory first and then ADLR bad news is ... FKLR, ALDR, LSTR Replikas from someone Ariane Yeong knew in the real life. back then in the past. so,... the fun is begun Itou in the false memory try to tall us ... my sister already dead, i'm actually dead, who is me, what am i looking for ? and... you still thing you are LSTR-512 until this day. did you ? that is my signalist for me ... what about you ?
