@@redcrimson1028 it's actually completely in what they give you in the game. would suggest going through your "memories". On Xbox there's a shortcut of the select key to get there.
Being a die-hard horror fan especially during the PS1-PS2 era, I played Signalis on the hardest difficulty (Survival) and my goodness was it perfection. I can't recommend it enough!
I had not heard of this game until it came out; it’s strange that a game that was so well made received such little marketing. If you like old-school Silent Hill or Resident Evil then this is a must buy. There’s a very cool setting and story here as well which charts its own path in some ways while also very obviously having some very strong influences.
Love Signalis. Will play it again on hardest difficulty. One of the best games this year imo. I do agree with some critiques here though, you should be able to move the camera a bit faster in those first person sections and I personally think the flashlight should not take up an inventory slot. Other than that its class. Will buy the physical copy.
I was more annoyed at the subweapons still taking up an inventory slot when they're equipped. They're based on Resident Evil Remake, but in that game there was a separate inventory slot for your subweapon. Add that to your default inventory space being the same as the hardest option in RE and you often only have 1 slot open if you take your gun, ammo for it, a subweapon, a healing item, and one key card, which is really just the essentials. How could you take less than that. I suppose you could just rely on the ten bullets in your gun, and leave the subweapon behind, but then why even put them in the game at that point
@@rooty yup i frequently just went with my gun and no ammo, hoping to find ammo on the way, sometimes brought no healing either and if i was out of space i would often use a heal i picked up that I didnt need just to save me cominf back.
Off topic but I just checked the switch up store to buy a shirt or sweater and I’m disappointed in one thing. We need a “let’s find out” switch up shirt asap! Also nice review I was looking into this game as well. Awesome job as always
Good review! This is a must play for fans of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Dead Space and Alien Isolation. Genuinely unnerving, with excellent puzzle design and world-building. I couldn't believe it was primarily put together by two people!
When it comes to horror, which is my favorite genre, the #1 aspect is to have an engaging and tense environment. Most of the time, jump scares can be overused to the detriment of the game. I am looking forward to playing this one however since it's style is largely different than most that we normally see.
Would never have heard of this game without your review and I think this is up my street. Will have to be a wish list game tho. Although I may wait on physical.

Great review SwitchUP crew! I've recently subscribed and been enjoying your reviews since. Your reviews remind me of the great old days of G4 (not to be confused with the revival). Fair, modest and dives deep into the different aspects of a game that come together to make it enjoyable. Signalis is already in my wishlist although I opted for Dreamlight Valley which your review convinced me to give it try and oddly enough I'm enjoying it. But knowing that there's a physical I'll snatch that up when I can. Thanks again and looking forward to more.
The aiming reminds me of a combination of classic Resident Evil tank aiming controls as well as Resident Evil Gaiden for the original Gameboy. Resident Evil Gaiden had a unique shooting and aiming system on Gameboy where if a zombie touched you then you would enter a battle screen and have to click at the right time on a meter to make your shots land (almost like the active reload feature that I loved from the Gears of War series).
This is an awesome game. I thought I had finished it but when I went to start a new game everything was different and I had realized that the game was actually continuing. I’m about 17 hours in and still going.
Absolutely LOVE this game. Was able to decipher all puzzles with just a little bit of thinking and what they gave me. My new favorite classic RE just edging out REMake.
1:15 in and just want to make some corrections. Gestalts are humans, Replikas are, well, replicas of humans. Neither are really cyborgs. Replikas have different unit types based on their purpose. Gestalts do not only serve administrative roles. Other than that, decent review.
Good game but kick in the balls difficult at times, rule of six inventory rule is brutal. Backtracking for items you couldn’t pick up means you’ll be reviving already downed enemies along the way.
I'm not especially interested in this game (I watched because I hadn't even heard of it), but I do have to say they nailed a really nice looking visual mood and tone.
I feel like I want to like this game more than I'd actually like this game. Not disrespect to the developer seems like a solid game but I'm not sure it's my cup of tea.

Definitely waiting for a sale on this. It looks like a great game but for some reason I just can't justify full price on it. I think at 25% or more off I'll be interested and scoop it up.
Played it on PC. Loved it. Limited inventory is a bit annoying because it's like the first Resident Evil playing as Chris but you have to pick up so many more items that constant backtracking gets a bit tiresome. It's really my only criticism of it, though.
This looks like a pixel art anime. I really love the aesthetics of this game. I put it on my wish list about a week ago. My backlog is out of control. 😭 Thanks for another stellar review guys.👍🏿
Can anyone tell me what all the easy difficulty mode does? I can’t seem to find any definite answers. Not a survival horror fan, but this games aesthetics are amazing. If I could breeze through it and enjoy the atmosphere and story, I’m all in. Otherwise I’ll have to pass on it.
Beat it and though I thought this was a good game it definitely had a few issues that irked me like the aiming in the game seemed to just randomly switch between enemies at times or it wouldn’t focus on an enemy when I was aiming at it. Idk me personally It didn’t feel quirky it felt like it was being buggy. But maybe I’m wrong. I definitely enjoyed the anime inspired artwork and I enjoyed meeting the characters jn the game. I did think the radio was a cool feature too, though I forgot about it at times.
Looks quite promising. Although I have one little issue with te review: 'fiddly aiming comes with the chosen gameplay style'. I understand the retro/nostalgia perspective, but imo it can't be that half-broken mechanics are put into a game because of it kind of belongs to the type of gameplay. It evolves for a good reason, as I like to play games with give me an oldschool feeling, but I don't want the oldschool finnicky frustration from back then. If I want to play a good but kind of old school mario, I go for at least sunshine or even galaxy, because for me it has the old charm, but the mechanics are much more refined. They don't put clunky things in there because super mario 64 has them. You can make nostalgia games and put the mechanics and therefore the experience for the player on top priority, for me Halo Infite is a good example, feels like 1 right from the start, but isn't afraid to put some new flashy stuff in there. Anyways...this still looks like an interesting game for me on sale
i would play this if i had a switch its not really fun or worthwhile playing on a big 4k monitor you almost feel bad for using up the electricity for this game on my series x
I played this on Gamepass and I’d gladly pay for it on Switch too. Fantastic game. Only criticism is the hard 6 item carry limit. No need for that in 2022. The latter half of the game has some serious backtracking that could be alleviated by allowing you to carry more items.
