I'll give a very simple explanation, there are 3 levels of learning the Qur'an. 1- Reciting( Elegantly ) 2- Understanding( In-depth ) 3- Memorising( Precisely ) The book contains every example that a human being would ever come across. Every word weighs heavier than we expect it to, hence the absolute understanding is impossible due to its deliberate ambiguity, yet the foundation of the book is clear and easy to interpret.
