My Favorite Magnesium Supplement - bit.ly/2LjE14J
The signs and symptoms of magnesium deficiency are far reaching. Many people are unaware that a number of medications can actually cause magnesium deficiency. Common causes of magnesium loss include:
1. Blood pressure meds
2. Excessive caffeine
3. Excessive sugar
4. Excessive stress
5. Alcohol

Reason many doctors do not know about vitamins & supplements is because the are given 1-2 weeks training on nutrition & vitamins. Pharmacy Industry control what can be taught in medical schools. I'd been suffering for years with unexplained muscle spasms, feeling fatigued during the day for seemingly no reason, lacked concentration when I needed it...the list goes on. I thought I was eating healthy but probably just not getting enough Mg. I tried high strength Magnesium supplements the other day and felt like I had the energy and positivity of a young child again. This doc taught me more in 10 minutes and 41 seconds than any doctor taught me in 41 freaking years. I've suffered from anxiety so long, got better, and then it came back. Did any doc suggest magnesium might be the problem? No. They want to make a Mercedes payment off my bs anxiety, so they want to throw meds at me and get kickbacks. Every single time I said "NO MEDS. NO." And they look at me with DISGUST. As if I'm a lunatic because I don't want to be drugged. All this time I've been punishing myself because I don't want to go on meds for this horse crap. And all along all they wanted was the kickbacks! Do yourselves a favor and research your area and see if there are disclosures for local doctors getting kickbacks from prescription medications and handing them out like candy! Look up Physicians Kickbacks Pharmaceuticals and Propublica has a website you can put your doctors name in and see what meds he gets extra money to push. I believe this is for USA, but look up your own areas.

Dr. Osborne, great video, good information. You may want to mention hypertension (high blood pressure) and magnesium deficiency, in fact Mg. is quite possibly the most important mineral when it comes to heart health. What about how fantastic it is for fatigue, for kidney stone prevention, to stone calcium precipitation (angina, hardening of the aryeries, etc), and a host of other actions such as insomnia, for fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, etc, etc. Magnesium gives more "bang for your buck" than all those fancy new dietary supplements that companies promote every day. Most ALL persons reading this who have elevated blood pressure - take 400 - 600 milligrams of Magnesium Taurate and watch what happens. You'll be glad you did.

ComidaRapida12 Hi there, there is no 'better form' of Magnesium essentially. There are more than 30 kinds on Mg available, some work better than others for certain conditions. Mg is poorly absorbed at the best of times, even in those with great GI tracts. the citrate form I use for constipation especially, but the taurate I would use for CV conditions, the glycinate form for blood sugar issues, I also use supplements with multiple forms at times. The Magnisium malate is especially good for fibronyalgia, and the Magnesium creatine magnapower (Albion Minerals) is superb as a 'performance' Magnesium. As I mentioned, there is no 'one superior form' of Mg.

Just wanted to say thank you. Although not a medical professional it seems to me that it's obvious you are very well informed and this video illustrates perfectly something I've been trying to explain to my mother ... A former RN, now suffering from several conditions. That being specifically that so many Doctors now fail to bother correctly diagnosing a patient and simply write prescription after prescription (often with serious side effects) and allow patients to continue to decline. Rather than getting to the core of the problem and curing it. Sidenote: Not that there aren't tons of great, knowledgeable and ethical healthcare professionals sharing their insights, like yourself imo. Thanks again.

Thank You very much Dr. Osborne for sharing all of this with us. A good percentage of your colleagues just prescribe medicines while we can solve some of our problems with just a simple mineral supplement. I take Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salt) from six months, I dissolve 15 grams in one liter of water and I drink a glass a day, an intake of around 1,5 grams daily. I got rid of Zoloft since its side effects were causing me alteration in blood sugar level, high triglycerides, sudden attack of hunger, craving for sugar, cramps, and other. Drinking every day water with Epsom Salt my anxiety is disappeared, so my panic attacks, my blood sugar is back to normal, I feel better, I feel new. He is 100% Correct, research it. I have a small retirement community behind me at home & I watch the same old retired lady walk daily in the evening & night early dusk-dark, in her 70's-80's I presume who looks quite a bit younger than most all that live there. more fit & healthy than most of Any retirees any a lot of younger people too I have seen. She will literally walk at least 10 laps around the whole building premises like clockwork 30 -60mins, and she is quite peppy & still drives hew own car etc. She has a vitality in her step. She was talking to her friends one day overheard them talking about drinking water everyday with a small teaspoon of apple cider vinegar daily, eating fruits, vegetables from small organic gardening etc. & how she is an advocate of her daily vitamins etc. She is a true testament to a lesson in health believe me. Also watch & cutback your sugar intake, a huge problem as well, check into videos youtube search ihealthtube and other videos as well.

It's my understanding that the liver filters out 80% of magnesium taken orally. The best way to get high doses of magnesium is to make your own magnesium oil and use it transdermally, on the skin. 80% will go straight to the blood stream without stressing the liver. It is an incredible muscle relaxer and good for depression and anxiety. It relieved the muscle splinting I've had for 30 years that no medication or physical therapy could touch. I couldn't move my head at all, now I'm gaining range of motion I haven't had since I was a child. It also decalcifies the blood brain barrier allowing nutrition to reach the brain cells again. I'm sharper than ever, also with the help of coconut oil which has the same 3 fatty acids that are in mothers milk and is being shown to reverse Alziemers, Dimentia and to treat PTSD and ADHD. It's also being used with autistic children. See Dr Sircus' videos on you tube.

I measure 1 1/2 ounces of pure water into a clean glass, then add 5 heaping teaspoons of the flakes to the water, stir until dissolved, then pour into a 2oz. liquid spray bottle. Rub it in, let it soak in, repeat daily, for as many days needed, for persistent conditions, and eventually the muscle will have no choice but to relax. You can't use it once and expect to be healed, it takes persistence. Better than any drug though. Check out what Dr.Sircus has to say about magnesium on you tube. Good luck Miriam

Awesome vid, Dr. Osborne. I hope this video reaches so many people as supplementing magnesium has been a life-saver for me. I was having a host of health issues including borderline depression and it wasn't until I started supplementing with magnesium that all those issues disappeared. I'm not a big fan of doctors (no offense); because in my personal esperience, the first thing they all seem to want to do is put me on perscription meds. However, fortunately I was able to diagnose myself via mutliple websites, based on my symptoms. Based on my research, it was extremely likely that I was deficient in magnesium, so I thought what do I have to lose and started supplementing magnesium into my diet. One thing I will mention is that the form of magnesium you use is key, as the first type of magnesium just gave me diarrhea and didn't really alleviate my problems. The form I eventually found that works the best is magnesium malate, which is a form with malic acid (which is the acid found in fruits such as apples - which I now wonder is a reason for the old saying "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"). Anyhow, the brand I use is Jigsaw Magnesium w/SRT, which you can find on Amazon. The stuff is awesome, it's a 'slow-release' formula and has helped me to feel like a new man or better yet, my old self again! I hope this helps someone else in their struggle to find improved health! Take care.

I thought perhaps he was a doctor in English Literature at the start of the video and was going to shut if off if it was an English lesson. I don't think he is a medical doctor otherwise he would have said MD in the title part of the video. He probably is an ND or natoropathic doctor. I think the more subtle magnesium deficiency symptoms sometimes are the ones really resonate with people suffering the odd symptoms. Anxiety is the one major symptom I suffered. With magnesium at a minimum I had nothing to buffer adrenalin so my heart would beat out of my chest when I did things simple things like bid last minute on an Ebay item. My social anxiety was getting worse and worse to the point I avoided interaction. While my anxiety was the most psychologically torturous... the magnesium deficiency MIGRAINE was physically the worst pain it caused. After years of suffering them they disappeared when I began supplementing magnesium. Also, I thought for years that just sitting at the computer was what caused the pain along the base of my neck and along my shoulders and down under my shoulder blades but once I reversed the magnesium deficiency I don't get that pain anymore. Magnesium deficiency causes sensitive hearing and exaggerated startle response. Muscle twitching and the need to go to the chiropractor often with me was a result of muscle spasms pulling my spine out of alignment. Ironically it was my Chiropractor...Dr. Bedice, that spotted my magnesium deficiency and handed me a bottle of Magnesium Glycinate. It was life changing! I no longer have to see him once or twice a month but I'm indebted to him for thinking outside the box and being generous with his advice and his help. Google "magnesium deficiency symptoms" and read up! You'd be amazed at the far reaching symptoms... the vasoconstriction it causes can lead to premature ejaculation... according the the University of Maryland!

@@Bait1official looks like you work out. Magnesium is natures muscle relaxer after a work-out. If you’re already borderline deficient, that’s when you start running into problems with cramps, heart rhythm, social anxiety, etc. I used to sit in a sauna, thinking it was good for after a work out, but I was sweating out all my already low water-soluble vitamins and minerals like magnesium and B-vitamins. I was just making my racing heart issue worse. Now, if you are Native American, there could be food allergies involved. We are just really prone to them. Any type of gut inflammation can cause low magnesium whether you are supplementing it or not.

Great information, and very helpful with the chart showing the links. As the doctor stated - "chasing your tail" with taking medications as a "fix" will not resolve the issue of what caused the problem. None of the professors from my medicine university explained their students something like this. You are a really MASTER - thank you so much! It is unbelivable how the medical system intentionally simply forget that the natural elements of the body have to be given before prescribing medical pills. I know and they know for sure - in lots of cases it won't even be necessary to prescribe medical pills. THE SAD TRUTH! FIRST, GIVE THE BODY WHAT HE NEEDS!

Thank YOU for that awesome eye-opener. One that leaves me with very mixed feelings about my trusted doctor. Why doesn't it occur to our own GP's to run the Spectro-cell test? ...without us having to 'find you', hear about this and only then need to request it. We are sadly being prescribed into a hellish circle of supposed maintenance. It really is a world of us funding the big pharmaceutical companies, with little thought to addressing our underlying issues and plans towards our actual betterment.

Pat Anderson Neither. Glycinate is a great from of magnesium. L-Threonate is even more superior but very very expensive. Glycinate is easily absorbed and doesn't cause laxative effects.
@madmanatsea
@madmanatsea 9 лет назад
Pat Anderson That one should be since it ends in ate meaning a salt type.......They have some where magnesium is bonded with an amino acid like glycine, and these seem to be good too for getting magnesium into the your blood. Magnesium citrate is used to induce EXplosive bowel movements the day before a colonoscopy so I would use this one cautiously. Magnesium oxide is supposed to be the worse at getting into the blood, but I take a triple magnesium complex that has the oxide and love it SINCE IT REALY KEEPS MY STOOL SOFT so that I am Never constipated which can damage the colon.

What's the best type of magnesium for hypertension, food sensitivities, leaky gut, gastritis?
@healtheveryday6962
@healtheveryday6962 7 лет назад
I have a similar problem with food sensitivities aswell as gut problems. A good form a magnesium would be Magnesium chloride usually called Magnesium Oil/Gel. The benefits of this is that it can be applied right to the skin without the need for you to take an oral capsule which isn't well absorbed and can cause digestive distress. Since the Magnesium is absorbed Transdermally (into your skin) there is a significantly reduced chance of having an adverse reaction because the magnesium bypasses your intestines and enters right into your blood stream. Hope this helps!

If you speak up then your joke of healthcare here in the USA would also have NDs that would treat people. Instead of just the dope pushers we now have as MDs. Demand that they change the healthcare system! The MDs and nurses should be given real nutritional education and be taught how to identify nutritional deficiencies in all patients and provide nutritional solutions from food sources and supplementation. Hand each patient a DVD that covers their defficiencies. Demand it by contacting your Congress and Senate and the Trump White House. Thank God Trump is President elect. Let's hope the Trump Administration makes America great and gets Americans healthy.

Very good information but I have a problem. How do you get a Dr to do the RIGHT test? I've asked several of my Drs, begged actually, for the magnesium test [not serum blood test] . You called it something else but I have heard it is the RBC test. You said it at the end but I think it is very important to stress that more. I can't find one Dr who knows what I am talking about ! I tell them that 1% of your magnesium is in the blood so a blood test is not accurate .I've copy info from internet even.Dr told me to stop looking on the internet and trust my Dr. Yea I almost died from doing that! One Dr laughed at me and said there is no difference between the tests. What can I do to get a Dr to listen. I have burning feet, numb hands, depression, burning tongue, sore muscles , tired alot, high calcium levels.

If you think you are deficient, try taking some magnesium and see if you feel better, if not, stop. Dr Mark Sircus and i think Dr Caroline Dean are the best 2 to search for about magnesium. Ancient Minerals is the best mag to take, and get the oil and spray it on to your skin and rub it in, this is the best way, otherwise get mag citrate to take orally.

Sometimes a parathyroid issue is misdiagnosed for fibromyalgia bcuz a lot of doctors don't realize that calcium levels are different for diff ages. So they see a blood calcium level that's not above a certain point and assume you are ok but you may not be for your age. Don't rely on a primary care doctor. See an endocrinologist and CHECK YOUR LABS YOURSELF! It's worth it, believe me...
