Yes I lost my self-confidence completely. Yes I was constantly irritated, angry, doubtful, miserable. whenever I would try to talk about it he would ignore or laugh.Yes he would bring nice presents for me I would feel high for sometime but after few days the same cycle continues. Yes. I had extremely low self esteem. I was very afraid of him for every little thing. He would hold grudges for every little thing. He wouldn't talk to me for 1-3 weeks sometimes even 6 weeks!. My opinion never mattered. My 2 birthdays were also miserable. I was blamed for every little thing. I always believed it to be my fault.His family was expecting me to make him straight. He would do whatever he wanted and even I had to do whatever he wanted. He would decide what clothes I should buy. He wouldn't take me anywhere and he wouldn't let me go out with my friends. He would never talk to me. He would never answer my calls. He would just chat with me that too he would reply after 15-20 min. I was yearning for his love and attention. On his fb married women and many other women would openly flirt with him. Many of them seemed bar dancer or prostitutes. I confronted him . I said this is not good. He then blocked me from his social media account. His family would hold me responsible. It was my responsibility that he acts right. After 3 years my eyes opened(yeah thank God!) I understood what I was doing to myself. I ended it. When I ended my relationship he was just blaming me. He was playing the victim card. he blocked me immediately and never unblocked me. Its been 3 months now. I realised the damage is severe, the wound is deep. I am only concentrating on my self esteem and my mental health now. I am really glad that you are doing this Prachi. OMG this seems just like my story but in my case I've left him and it's been a month I've cut ties with him. Don't worry girl you'll get through this. Keep praying and readinh ur bible trust me it helps alot

I went through something very similar. I was about to get married to the guy. My friends and family kept on telling me this is not right, you are not getting the respect you deserve. This can become physically abusive. He had thrown things in anger, intimidated me by yelling, and pressed my hand in anger. His parents used to tell that he's impulsive and has anger issues but he loves you dearly. So you need to know how to handle him so you don't trigger his anger and keep him calm. When you stop provoking him he will not use abusive words. I had started doubting myself. I thought me and my parents are too demanding. Just because I earn well we are not able to compromise and act as per the expectations of the ladkewalas. They wanted to dominate everything in the wedding preparation as they were paying for half of the wedding and were not ready to accommodate any needs of my parents. The guy told me that my father is an arrogant man and he will take revenge from my father when time comes. I was so scared and i had no idea what's my responsibility and what's not. What's my fault and what's not. Finally the guy was not allowing me to choose my wedding dress. He said i was too stubborn to think of choosing ny dress on my own (that too after his mom had already given approval to me but she might have denied that to her son). I felt I have had enough. I'm sacrificing a lot by getting married and moving city, job everything for a guy who can't understand me or stand up for me. He was financially dependent on his parent's business. His parents had refused to let him draw any salary on request of my parents and they wanted to control financial decisions. I brokr off the engagement and didn't get married. I still think about the good parts sometimes and I'm finding it hard to move on. The guy tried to apologize and suddenly he was realizing all his mistakes and said that he was unable to see all the issues and will make changes. But this time I was unable to trust him and was really scared of living with his manipulative and controlling mother (who he used to think as a very wise and sensitive lady). 3 months after apologizing to me and saying that he still loves me, he got engaged to another girl and posted romantic videos on Instagram. I've lost a lot. Lost my self esteem. Started feeling that I'm not good at choosing clothes, or not good enough in speaking, talking to people and what not. I still get nightmares about things his mother told me, things like I'm not mature enough and I'm not prepared to live in sasural as my mother has not been able to teach me. It's an ongoing PTSD and I just hope to recover.

@@Wo.Main_Character_Energy I had faced the similar situation, he always used to compare me with other girls , he always used to say me that I'm less than other girls , I'm not mature ,he told me that his friends used to laugh on me and he was also involved with that , he forced me for everything by using various techniques, most of time I felt that he is ashamed for having me 😣

I have been in abusive relationships since childhood! My father is abusive and so was my first boyfriend. I was always made to feel bad about myself and think that i am insufficient. But after all that i somehow handled myself and grew out of it and now i have become a mature woman with good values and high standards. I really want to tell all of those who are undergoing such sort of things, that a lot of people and situations might pull you down but you got to fight them and grow stronger. I am happy that people like prachi are there to help others out. I really appreciate that .

Lucky are those people who found this video before having an abusive relationship or those who are in it coz I have been there, suffered every bit of it without anyone to guide me and ended it when I reached my breaking point. I have been abused, mentally, emotionally, verbally and physically just like this video mentioned. Although its been 5 years now and m ova it but I still think of it sometimes on how did I let all this happen to me. I left him without giving him a piece of my mind coz like Prachi said such people will never admit to their abusive behavior but I somehow feel that one should just let all their thoughts and aggression on to that person before leaving their abusive partner coz at some point the anger and frustration that's been piled up will eventually leave you with more doubts and questions for future. Due to which I haven't had closure yet, it doesn't bother me much now like it did early but Yeah! I have learned to live with it. He got married last month and the same month he tried to reach me through my friends to apologize, even though I had been wanting to hear him apologize for so many years: I decided not to coz I know once I hear him it will feel like re-living those moments again. I am finally at peace with myself after long 4 years and would never trade it with anything in the world. And that is why we must learn to LOVE OURSELVES first before proceeding for a relationship. Know your worth and never settle for less than what you deserve. Always remember, IF IT COSTS YOU YOUR PEACE IT'S TOO EXPENSIVE.

I also a had very ruling and abusive relationship..😬its been 2 yrs that i just ended it..bcz it was that much of a headache..vry restrictive nd a controlling relationship..i did not have even my own freedom to take breathe..lot of extremely miserable things happend to me more than u said prachi di..now am vry vry happy and comfortable..i never regret for ending up that bad relationship..NB: Girls pls do not get indulge into a ruling relation..its like a cancer..it will definetly ruin u both mentally nd physically.If anybody is suffering like this pls break up it and enjoy ur life...Find a partner who understands,trusts and respects u..😊

Thank you so much Prachi... I was once in such a relationship and when I reached my breaking point, I just broke up with him. Initially it was hard for me, to face his friends and their questions, but I had few friends to stand with me, and I stayed strong with my decision. Later I moved on to another relationship in which I'm so happy, that even though if this didn't work out in the future, I would be happy that I have him in my life right now. But, I hope n believe that we'll be together forever... And yes, I was feeling a slight guilty for my brkup with my ex, as I had a thought that I caused harm to that person , but while watching this video, all the points you said were exactly the same which happened to me then. And now, after completed watching this video, I feel proud about my decision. And I feel much more positive, happy and peaceful. Thank you so much Prachi. I really mean it! Hugs🤗🥰♥️

Sit with ghat person tell everything that you r not liking and tell him you have break this relationship now.try to do this ingentle way otherwise your will start feeling guilty ..And you can try a method what I did for me you can make a list of why you want to leave him and what r your fears for leaving him .That can help you taking your call.

Guys I seriously need some suggestions as I can't even think ,my mind is completely blank right now. I called off the relationship a week ago but the thing is he keeps on texting me telling how much he wants me and what all he can do to keep us together. He kindof blackmails me to tell about us in my family, that he would leave his job for me. He once made a statement like if we were together in the relationship and anything bad happens, then it would happen to both of us. He threatens me every now and then. Idk what to do and don't want to be with him anymore. I'm having sleepless nights and depression

Prachi you're the best!! I mean it ... I was broken terribly .. Every situation you explained in this video helped me not to put the whole blame on myself.. Till now i thought i did everything for him but still why did he leave me?? but the things i did like deleting my social media leaving my friends for him are my mistakes... Yes abusive relationship is toxic...I even tried to end myself i was totally shattered but your videos made a great difference for me.. thanks a lot!!

99% of the times this statement stands correct. This is because if he/she got the guts to do it once and gets away with it then they will surely do it again. If they cheat then it clearly means they dont love the person whom they are with or their conscious wouldn't have allowed it and being drunk or looking for a rebound after a big fight are just excuses, its as simple as that. If they love you, they won't cheat. Period.

6:18 when I was in my 1st relationship(I WAS 13 BACK THEN ) this was the verdict of his "you know what don't talk to that girl bcoz she is a kind of manipulative to your relationship ."(even though she never poke her finger to our matter ) and THAT WAS THE ONLY REASON I BROKE UP WITH HIM IN A FEW DAYS back then I didn't know that I was about to fall in a controlling and abusive relationship. I JUST GOT A HUNCH THAT THIS IS SOMETHING WRONG. NOW I AM PROUD OF MYSELF THAT I GOT THAT HUNCH.

In my relationship we love each other alot but he was very controlling even i didn't had any male frnd then also he use to argue with me on every small things he use to tell me to block my teachers . I was very frustrated, but he always use to blame on me , i was very much scared in that relationship and he always use to repeat his behavior and he use to tell lie alot there were many red flags finally i ended and it cost my carrier alot 😢

Nice and deep and even at point i noticed u covered all sides of the matter ki no if it's in this amount it is acceptable like fear to tell ur husband of shopping or husband asking for being late on anniversaries... because if u would not have told this side all wud have interpreted ok i fear to tell something it is abusive rltnship although the point is obviously if u cheat and u have fear it is the limits of rltn not like u are restricted ... I had seen my dad hitting my mom many times since I was 7 years old Today i am 36 and now around a month back I scolded him in much more bad way to make him understand that you are nothing in front of me. He has messed up everyone's lifes in family but now he himself is afraid to talk to me.

What if an independent and matured girl married a guy who is not mature enough and he used to give up in front of his mom n relatives. But he will not understand the mistake made by his mom is the reason for wife's anger. In the meanwhile he is caring but he could not raise his voice for truth. He is just acting and talking according to the person to person. I really fed up with him in these 8 months of my marriage life. How to handle this kind of boy mam?

So sorry to know that. Please get help from a therapist, they were clearly a very very abusive toxic bunch. My heart goes to out to whoever he eventually got married to.
