Month ago , my truck no go forward or reverse , I’m call 4 shops they say need Rebuilt the transmission today I’m chance oil and filter … my truck 🛻 run perfect … f 150 2006. 260, 000 milles never change filter or oil before …/ filter is clogged. I’m safe 3000 dóllars. Thanks for you video 👍🏻
Same issue with my 2001 silverado. It works for about a minute then wont move. If i restart the truck it will work for a short time then back to no moving in gears. Truck has 270k miles but Replaced the 4l60e trans 110k miles ago have never serviced fluid or filter bc thats what trans manufacturer said it was good for life of trans smh. Hopefully i lucky can replace clogged filter and haven’t burned the clutches up since it still works at first and fluid not burnt. Find out when i drop the pan.
4L60 in 2005 Silverado, 145k mi. Drives fine until trans heats up (5-10 mins) then no D or R. When warm a slight buzzing noise in P and N. Suspect clogged filter based on your video. Fluid level is right on and not burnt.
@@pastormichaelhibbertminist7486 Yeah, mine was fine again after filter & fluid change. Put about 5k miles on it since then and just started getting the P0894 code (trans component slipping). From the research I’ve done, probably damaged the converter clutch or pump when it starved for fluid. Some guys claim that they’ve gone several thousand miles once that started, but it does set a check engine light and if you live somewhere that requires no light to pass inspection, then obviously have to fix. I’m rural and not an issue, but I’ll probably replace with a rebuild sometime this year.

Okay so my transmission got clogged perhaps due to it was not OEM quality or because my mechanic fixed front trabsaxle AWD seal kit and got short of some ATF fluid in the process as they're linked to each other. Now he put some of the dirty fluid and after that i started having all the issues you described. Later we opened the ATF chamber and replaced the old OEM Toyota filter. But didn't change the burnt smelly oil. Now the car started heating up and i saw on OBD scanner via Bluetooth that ATF temperature that should be around 90° i suppose was 125°😅 The engine coolant temperature went to 118° The car stopped, now cant go in reverse or Drive (D) even i push the accelerator. My question is, there is no check light. The car starts fine but has that very little metal sound when i push the accelerator. Should i try and drain the ATF pan, take out the filter, flush the whole transmission fluid from the front pipe and connect the new fluid to the input pipe till all old fluid is finish and come the new clean fluid. I saw some videos on RU-vid to see transmission flush. Transmission filter is expensive here, i was planning to put a relatively less expensive ATF oil from NASA rather than Toyota Type 4 for this experiment purpose. If the transmission gives signs of life after flush and removing filter. I'll drain all the oil and put a new transmission filter and oroginal Type 4 fluid. Worst case i have to change a second hand transmission from the scrapyard. I also heard if you change the transmission, you need to update the ECU for the car etc. Please guide me. It is all interesting to me and i want a better way out of this.
My transmission is giving off a whining noise, I’ve changed the fluid and cleaned up the filter. Found pieces of fibre in the filter too. Fixed the transmission leakage from the seal too. But the whining noise has refused to go away
What about shaking my 2011 CTS luxury shake when I barley touch that accelerator but when I get on it a little it stops or if I put it in manual mode and give it gas just aggressively enough so doesn’t kick down it shakes bad and makes a clunk shake on and off the accelerator. It shift great however. Don’t know if it’s the mounts or the transmission.
My 2006 Honda Odyssey van shifts great but has around a 1 second delay when you put it in gear. What might be causing this? Fluid has been changed when it’s suppose to but doubt they change the filter on the side of the trans. I was thinking make its very dirty and causing this so I’m going to change it. Honda says never have to but maybe this is because they want transmission to go bad so they sell new trannys.
Ima going to replace fluids and filter today . Hopefully we get her back on the road driving😢 ppl need these videos. To much videos out there ppl saying dont touch the fluids….. mine when i hit the gas it just revs. Sometimes it drive for like 10 secs them revss. Fluids are black and smell burnt
Hello, new subscriber here. I have a 2000 Chevy express 1500 with a 4l60 and started to hesitate on drive, it would kinda grab the 1st gear and then engine would run away so I decided to drop the transmission, could get the drain plug out so took down the pan and the transmission filter was just laying there without me even messing with it! Just removed the pan carefully and there it was. Do you think this might have been my issue?

Hi i have a 2002 impala v6 3.8 And when it turns on it’s fine it shifts fine and then it starts slipping after a couple minutes…i turn it off and turn it back on and it goes back to normal but slips again after a while…then i have to restart it again and it starts moving again until it slips again
Hello! It sounds like the viscosity of your transmission fluid goes too thin really quick when it gets hot (Totally normal in a V6 because it generates more heat than a 4 Cylinders). You must change it to a thicker synthetic transmission fluid as Red Line D4 ATF or Amsoil ATF as example, plus, a filter and pan gasket from OEM Chevrolet.
I have a 2014 Jeep Patriot when I hit on the gas the RPMs go up to like two and a half 3 but I'm only going 35 miles an hour and then it has trouble shifting picking up speed what could that?
Hello my names giovanny I had a question I have a 2009 Infiniti g37 7at automatic transmission and I changed the transmission filter with a new one but 2 out of the 19 or 20 bolts holding the transmission filter the thread on the bolts messed up and I installed it without the 2 screws can this cause the car to loose pressure and not shift into higher gears ? Now that I drive the car a changed the fluids and installed the filter it now won’t shift to 4th or 5th gear and sometimes the shifter will become un responsive when I try to shift gears manually can this all be because I’m losing pressure due to 2 bolts not being installed ? Also should I re install the original filter back on ? I drive tha car it shifts into 1st 2nd and 3rd gear fine but 4th and 5th is wear it gets stuck or sometimes it’ll only shift to 3rd gear and get stuck and I have to turn off the car and turn on again In order for car to reset and shift again what are your thoughts I’d really appreciate the help 🙏🙏
Can dirty transmission oil and filter cause transmission not to go into any gear because it goes into gear when motor is cold, but as soon as it warms up, it won’t go into any gear
My car is doing the same thing, took it for a drive on the highway and all of a sudden I lost all gears, I'm letting letting it cool so I can take it to the shop for a drain and clean, my oil is brown, I hope everything is okay in there
Any suggestions why the RPM is going up to 4000 on parking or neutral without touching the gas pedal? When shifting to D it's normalyzing immediately. I have checked the fluid level twice. Once it was ok, the second time seemed low.
Sounds like you have an issue with your throttle control. Try doing an idle reset for your computer. 4k revs without touching the gas is probably not a tranny issue.
Hi all. I have an issue with a 2003 nissan pathfinder, Automatic transmission. when it starts in cold engine got no reverse until 9 or 10 minutes, as it warms it starts moving in Reverse, what can be happening to the transmission. I replaced fluids and nothing.
I drove my 79 chevy pickup to work, put it in reverse then went to put it into drive and now it won't go into any forward gears. It still goes into reverse but not engaging into forward gears all of a sudden. Was extremely low on fluid, but even after adding fluid still no forward. What could this issue be? Any help would be great.
