Subhana'Allah, this entire series was so beneficial. How fortunate this group was to be taught by such an educated, cultured, eloquent and optimistic soul. May Allah swt reward Shaykh Hamza Yusuf for this series as well the people who recorded and uploaded this! By the looks of it, this was recorded around the time I was born, and to have the ability to watch it 22 years later as I delve into Islam is truly a pleasure. May Allah swt allow us to be beauty creators in this world and to spread knowledge of Islam as eloquently as was done in this video series.

Indeed I couldn't agree more. He is a an excellent mix of Western intellectualism and Islamic spiritualism & scholarship. Very, very few have these qualities in the Muslim world sadly..Listening to him sharpens your own intellectuality (is there such a word?). At the same time, it's amazing to see how deeply religious he is..just listen to/watch the way he says "Laa ila haillallah...." with such deep conviction....

Of course, obviously this man is clearly chosen by God!? I said it already can never stop admiring his Arabic poronanciation. Never seen a one not born in Arabic country talk so beautiful, fluency as if he is an Arab!!! Apart from delicate points he chooses. But would like to add a point, hope sheikh read it, get informed by update. I heard that different. Hour الساعة can mean the appearance of the Imam or Advent of Isa ben Maryam not end of the time!!?

2v K al qiyamah is the day of Judgment, the day of resurrection before Allah (SWT), while the akhirul zaman the last days of the earth before the the day of judgement is established. and Allah Almighty knows best

it was Ismail that was offered for sacrifice. Allah mentioned that in Surat Saafaat from verse 100 to 112. After mentioning the sacrifice Abraham offered, God said "And we gave him the good news of Issac" Isaac couldn't have been the sacrificial son here .

In fact Sheikh Hamza has forgotten to tell the audience that one of the signs of the Last Day is that the real Iman is in Al-Sham countries, particularly in Damascus.. where there is actually a group of people who teaches the whole spirit of the religion.

When the Prophet (S) spoke about Rome (Room), he meant the Byzantine empire with capital in Constantinople, and not the capital of Italy. In his time, the Arabs called Byzantines of Constantinople as Romans (Surah ar-Room). Hamza Yusuf is apparently wrong in his interpretation of the hadith about Rome.

@Dave Chaps Thank you for your well meaning warning, I know about his past background but it was not important to me. What's important is the accuracy of content and sincerity. Only Allah Knows who is best in taqwa and knowledge. He says he is Muslim and I accept that. I listen to non Muslim scholars too. Both can make mistakes. I trust Allah to Make me comprehend what is correct and remove what is wrong. InshaAllah. Prefer not to judge others eeman or focus on sects or differences but to be mindful of my own self and my path. The fact is, he spent a considerable amount of time and effort in colating and conveying his research to others. I am grateful to him for that and did learn a lot Alhamdulillah. Allah can use anyone to benefit Islam and Muslims. His 104 odd videos gave very useful knowledge. No one can be absolutely correct about every single fact but it's a good historical chronological base (without insulting or undermining his work). May Allah reward him for it and Keep him on the right path or Guide him in his deen if wrong. (Dua goes for all). Ameen

The reason why children rebell is because they’re already adults and they’re treated like children. In eastern parts of the world a 13 year old is pretty much considered adult and they’re free to do whatever they want hence they don’t rebell

2008july4 Al- akhirah is from akhr which is the last or the next Al qiyama is from qym which is standing Al-sa'ah is the hour There are other names for it also like Yawm al deen - day of the religion etc.

Akhirzaman means last age or era of human and world. Qiyamah is the end of everything and then Judgement Day.

لعل وعسى هذا دين الله القويم Holy Quran 2:62 ------------------ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَالَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالنَّصَارَىٰ وَالصَّابِئِينَ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. هذا دين المذاهب Holy Quran 6:159 ------------------ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعًا لَّسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ ۚ إِنَّمَا أَمْرُهُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do. Holy Quran 30:32 ------------------ مِنَ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا شِيَعًا ۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ [Or] of those who have divided their religion and become sects, every faction rejoicing in what it has.

You should rather ask what is the Islamic view on ahmaddiyat. My views are not important if they are not backed by Islamic laws or principles. That said, the Islamic view is that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is the last of the prophets. If anyone claims prophethood, then he has gone against this fundamental principle and his claim must stand rejected.
