Love your channel and this video. I started extreme investing about 5 years ago and am working on starting a chemical buisenss (as a chemical/electrical engineer thats my wheel house) and we are 1/3 of a way to being a liquid millionare. All that matters to me is not NEEDED a job to be comfortable, from there I can then start more buisnesses but getting financially secure is key to me, had to many bad jobs and the good ones when you find them always end at some point (lay offs, buy outs, bankruptcys, etc).

But the thing is, you have to have some moderation both ways. Its like the mexican fisherman story. The trust fund investor goes to mexico and sees mexican fisherman, he tells him that if does this and that for some years, he might be able to buy more boats, have other people work for you, create a fleet and then sell it for big bucks so he can retire big. The fisherman asks him if that's he is doing and he says yes, he is working all the time so that when he gets older he can be rich and retire. The fisherman asks him what will he do once he retires. The investor tells him that he always wanted to try fishing.

I had this thing where I started doing better and better in my late 20's and that my friends stayed behind. Which made me grow apart and grow into new groups. I'm happier now, but I sometimes miss the old group. I mostly started applying to jobs and such that were above my education and experience rates. With a "the worst they can say, is no" additude. And it works.

Big ups to everyone working effortlessly trying to earn a living while building wealth. My wife and I we are both retired with over $2 million in net worth and all paid off debts. living smart and frugal with our money, made it possible for us this early, even till now we earn passively with our asset coach. Adapt to a lifestyle, be thrifty, set a budget, save money and build more streams.
@donnahensley2459

Excellent choices having a great savings and more streams to earn makes life goal’s easier but our way of life needs better alternative,at the same time, people also need to be more responsible. I know for a fact that there's a lot of people that simply don't make enough, I make roughly hundred plus a year and in California, rent inflation alone eat up almost all of what I make, with dependents and other obligations included, it's easy to end up with zero. however it’s a good time to add to existing asset holdings as follow -on opportunities

He bought a sewing machine, rented a small workshop and offered repairs to wind surfer sails when they were all the rage. 2 years later he set up a much bigger workshop and began supplying marine covers to owners of Sunseeker motor yachts. he earns a small fortune, lives in an amazing house and owns 7 very valuable classic cars.

I feel like I'm behind where I should be, but also know that on paper I'm not. My living & fun expenses are around 36% of my net income, I invest 40% of my net income (this includes tax relief on pension deposits so not directly from my cash balances) and the remaining 25% or so i just keep back as savings & buffer to put towards giving and larger purchases such as cars etc. I know I'll retire a millionaire if I keep on track and that keeps me motivated!

Well it's brilliant to be learning about it at 26 rather than 56. And because you're so young you can go for the riskier portfolios if saving for the long term. For example I use Vanguard LifeStrategy 80% at the age of 33 but you could prob do 100%. I'd also suggest saving into a LISA if you're planning to buy a house as you get 25% govt bonus for the deposit - basically like a 25% guaranteed return on your investment.
