Sigrid is kinda kewl, i love the the sentiment behind her huge international hit Dont kill my vibe. A suitable comment to the music industry. Shes lit. Shes not to be messed with. I like her.

So happy to hear you react to this, I absolutely adore Sigrid. This song is so melancholicly beautiful. You can tell that there's love on both sides of the relationship but it just don't work in the end.

Imagine Dixie Chicks if they were raised in a Eastern european cirkus Kaizers Orchestra - This is what you get when a rockband buys a pump organ instead of a synth and sings songs about criminals in a wartorn country Susanne Sundfør - she´s from the generation of singers that came before Aurora and Sigrid. Beautiful voice and haunting songs. Røyksopp, Ane Brun, Madrugada, Bel Canto, Highasakite and Mari Boine are also well worth a listen

It's very interesting that you mention her rasp because to me that almost makes it more powerful, I associate women with voices like that as being older and wiser. They have had tough lives kind of thing. I know it's not always the case but definitely adds to the song

If I was ever going to introduce someone to Sigrid, this is the video I would choose to show them. Whilst Aurora is the Norwegian Fairy Princess, Sigrid is the Norwegian Pop Princess. All you need now is Emilie Nicolas, the Norwegian Soul/Jazz Princess.
