In 2008 I was on my honeymoon in St. John’s Newfoundland and my wife and I bought this album from an HMV. We went for a 9 hour drive along the coast; we saw whales jumping out of the water; we saw a lot of lighthouses. We listened to this song over and over. Thank you for making me think of that!

I’ve been doing some thinking recently about this channel and a thought popped into my mind overnight. It’s been a really interesting journey sharing my love of the piano with everyone all over the world. It still trips me out that I spend an afternoon recording a track (it has to be the afternoon for those curious about the process, as the piano is lit by natural light - it’s best between 1pm - 4pm in the room that I’m recording in), sitting by myself in front of a piano in my music school, and that people from all over the world get to experience a very private moment of my creative process. What I find particularly interesting though is when I listen back to these interpretations, there’s a pretty strong disconnect between playing/recording the tracks and hearing them back. Without a drop of ego, I personally enjoy listening to these tracks either late at night to help me fall asleep, occasionally in the morning when I wake up to find some more motivation about working on my Radiohead songbook, but my favourite time would definitely be when I’m travelling, especially in airports or on planes, and also on public transport. As there are a lot of returning subscribers and listeners on this channel, my question to you is this: Where and when do you listen to these tracks? What are you doing? Working? Studying? Travelling? Eating breakfast? Passing out? What time of day is it? What do you see? How does it make you feel? I’d be very curious to hear your thoughts, so hit me up. Just came upon this by accident. One of my favourite pieces of music ever by one of my favourite bands and your interpretation is absolutely beautiful. I actually have tears in my eyes listening to it. You're obviously very talented from a technical perspective but the sensitivity and emotion in your playing is breathtaking. I go chukar hunting the hardest uphill rocky sport there is...so utterly hard. Bitter and desolate loneliness out on the high desert in idaho in the elements that make you shiver to the bone. I'm here on my log cabin porch picturesque, or at least as I saw it when I labored painstakingly in the cold and heat outside for it. A little buzzed on beer. I listen to sigur ros because it's like the void between life and death, that happy little medium where it feels like it could make sense...cold lonely icy skies in the Icelandic infirmament. Thanks for the piano version, it is fitting and am glad there is people just like me out there on my wave lenght who are completely different connected by that eternal light world.

As much as I love your other Radiohead work, I thought there's no way you'd do the bow-on-string drone justice. I thought that at any moment I would just stop this video and open the original song. I keep repeating this thought every minute I listened to this cover. And before I knew it, the video was over, and I was still here, at its end. And now I'm going to open the original song, not because I think it's superior, but because you gave me a new perspective from which to appreciate the original. Thank you, Josh, for another spectacular interpretation.

On the bus home from work and late nights at my desk. It's some of the most productive and meditative music I've found. This track in particular. If this were an album I could download, I would in a heartbeat.
