Hey dude, thank you for this. I'm trying to look into Sikhi, and where the religious dogma feels regarding queerness and transgender is one of the main things I'm trying to figure out before I consider getting more involved. I hope life is being wonderful to you!

you are a wonderful young man and I applaud your family. I have worked n the public schools to make them safer and more inclusive for LGBTQetc students for a long time and just want you to know that there are places where students are supported...we have lots of work to do and your video will be a huge help.

A true Sikh accepts god’s will (waheguru’s hukam). A true Sikh does not follow their ego and go against nature. You can’t change your gender/sex. May waheguru guide you

If you're transgender but a Sikh, how would that work? Because I thought Sikhs believe that God is perfect and made everything perfect which is also why they have "Kesh" and uncut hair, but by "Changing your gender" wouldn't that technically just mean that you're following your ego and saying that God is not perfect?

Being transgender doesn't mean that you was really born in the wrong body, a transgender was born in the right body, the way that god choose. I think that way..

This is often a debate but I can do my best to explain. Trans people suffer from gender dysphoria, which is a mental condition where the self perception of ones gender does not match the biology they have. So things such as getting hormones, surgery and shaving or cutting hair is like treating the condition so this is generally okay as long as the person accepts God, and their commitment to follow them in the end and not to change their body for their own gain or ego.
