Sikhism, religion and philosophy founded in the Punjab region of the Indian subcontinent in the late 15th century. Its members are known as Sikhs. The Sikhs call their faith Gurmat (Punjabi: “the Way of the Guru”). According to Sikh tradition, Sikhism was established by Guru Nanak (1469-1539) and subsequently led by a succession of nine other Gurus. All 10 human Gurus, Sikhs believe, were inhabited by a single spirit. Upon the death of the 10th, Guru Gobind Singh (1666-1708), the spirit of the eternal Guru transferred itself to the sacred scripture of Sikhism, Guru Granth Sahib (“The Granth as the Guru”), also known as the Adi Granth (“First Volume”), which thereafter was regarded as the sole Guru.

@@realharrysingh its a panth !! not religion. religion cant be changed. gurunanak was hindu n all his followers. sanatan vaidik dharm is only religion in d world. havd u read bhagwad gita ?? go through bhagwatam n all. u lost brother!! go and ask if u hv any iskcon center near by. krishna is only god. he creates everything. religion cant b made. it was der n it will be. read bhavishya puran.. it mentioned eveythig which had happened, which is happening and which is going to happen. shastra has evrything as it was spoken by ultimate man, the god, krishna. go n get proper knowledge frm some enlighten person. better u go to iskcon.

In the contemporary era Shikhs r very hospitable.They feed people whereover they live irrespective of caste creed or religion. I never saw a beggar among Sikhs.They r very content. No one hates them .They r tolerated everywhere . In Kargil Ladakh there r only 3 to four families .The wall of the Gurudawara is shared by a mosque which is a unique example of religious harmony.

Just want to correct 2 things: 1. Guru Arjan Dev ji was made to sit on a burning hot sheet while boiling hot sand was poured over his body. He died during that torture. 2. Guru Granth Sahib is containing bani of 6 gurus, 15 bhagat, 11 bhatt & 4 sikhs(total 36)

As a Sikh, I would say the main reason for starting new religion was- Guru Nanak who was born into a Hindu family, rejected the religion and didn't wear cotton thread (Janau) and also spoke against idol worship or considering any devi-devta a god. Not only this Guru Sahib denounced the practice of Sati, untouchability, and Cast system which is the core concept of Sanatan as per religious text (Manu Samriti & Upanishads). He gave a message to worship only that which is not in any form and doesn't take birth or die. On the other side, Guru Sahib also denied the fact that the person who will consider Mohammad a messenger will go to heaven and said a person who believes in Akal Purakh will attain heaven/moksha.

Sir u tried well. But there are some mistakes. Guru Arjan Dev ji was martyred in chandni chowk . Guru Teg bahadur ji sacrificed himself for helping Kashmiri saints who were forced by Aurangzeb to transfor into muslim. And Guru Gobind Singh ji fought 14 wars .and sacrificed his whole family for the humankind..

there is nothing like sikh religion no reference no proof existed of it. This was khalsa panth before 1913. it was max arthur maccauliff gave it name sikh religion and its not monotheistic religion.

Instead of reforming Hinduism Great humans (Nanakji, Goutam Buddha, Mahavir Jain) started their own religion. Raja Ram Mohan Rai did the reformation in Hinduism which I think quite great work done by him.

सिख धर्म गुरू शिष्य का धर्म है सीख का मतलब शिष्य से है। संतो और गुरु का ज्ञान को मूल मानकर लोगों को जोड़ा। सीख धर्म चलाना शुरू किया मूल तत्व सत तत् को जाना गुरू द्वारा को सच्चखंड नाम दिया। सत तत्व का पाठ गुरू वानी के रूप मे किया जाता है। अलग अलग संतो ने सत को खोजा अपनी भाषा मैं वाणी लिखी इन सब की वाणी को गुरू घरंत साहिब मैं लिखा सत साखी का पाठ होता है। रैदास शैख फरीद कबीर साहिब दादू धना मूल हैं 18संतों की वाणी मे सत वचन सत्वक्य का पाठ होता है

धर्म तो एक ही है हिंदू और हमेशा हिंदू धर्म ही रहेगा, नाम और संप्रदाय तुम चाहे जितने बना दो, लेकिन सत्य सनातन को कोई जुकला नहीं सकता, सिख के 10 में से 9 गुरु हिंदू ही थे।सिख के सभी गुरु ओ ने सत्य सनातन के लिए अपना सब कुछ न्योछावर कर दिया। गुरु अर्जन देवजी, गुरु हर गोबिंदजी, गुरु तेग बहादुरजी, गुरु गोबिंदजी और नन्हे चार साहिबज़ादो के बलिदान को कौन भूल सकता है। अगर इनके लहू में हिंदू ओ का पैतृक लहू न होता तो ये बलिदान संभव ही नहीं था 10 वे गुरु श्री गोबिंद सिंह जी ने खालसा पंथ की स्थापना की, अन्याथा वे भी हिंदू ही थे।हम तो सिख के सभी गुरु ओ को अपना ही गुरु मानते हैं।सूर्य को सूर्य ना कहे तो क्या कहे।हिन्दू समुद्र है और बाकी तो सब धा रा है, जिनको एक दिन समुद्र में मिल ही जाना है। बाकी तो सब पंथ और संप्रदाय है, धर्म तो केवल एक ही है और रहेगा "हिंदू" कहो या "वेदांतवादी" या "सनातनी" 🙏"जय श्री राम जय बजरंग बली"🙏श्री वाहे गुरुजी दा खालसा श्री वाहे गुरुजी दी फतेह।🙏जो बोले सो निहाल सत श्री अकाल🙏

Sir you have given very good information but a lot of correction needs to be done in this video. Its not batla, its Batala a city in punjab. Guru Gobind Singh ji fought a total of fourteen wars and all won, but never detained or damaged the people of any place of worship.

Guru Teg Behadur was never captured from kartarpur it is wrong information. Guru Teg Bahadur ji went to Delhi on the request Kashmiri bandits who were too weak to face the cruelties of Aurangzav .

With the advent of Islam, demography of India started changing fast. Muslim rulers started converting Hindus to Islam by preaching and with sword too. Guru Nanak Dev ji was Hindu, so to stop the expansion of Islam, Guru Nanak Dev ji started preaching Hinduism peacefully. Hinduism had been corrupted by the priest class. On one side Islam was expanding exponentially and on the other hand the priest class was exploiting the Hindus for their own luxurious life style. Guru Nanak Dev ji only preached Hinduism but opposed the priest class exploitation. Same work was done by Guru Gobind Singh ji with sword. If you read Guru Granth Sahib, it is basically pure form of Hindu philosophy in Punjabi. You find lot of poetry in the praise of Hindu Avatars. Even most of the words in Guru Granth Sahib are Sanskrit or localized Sanskrit words. The very starting of Guru Granth Sahib "Ek Onkar" are sanskrit Ek (one) Onkar (God) .

I feel that, guru Nanak ne religious books books nahe padhi , unhoune religious religious logoun ko dekha, counter verification nahe kiya logoun ko books se, bhagawan ka Jo concept Nanak Sahab ne bataya hai sabhi religious books(tourat,bible, Quran,aur Vedas mien mien wahe hai.
